While I don't blame the cop for firing the shot at the guy running with the gun, I did notice it took quite some time before anyone check on the woman. Her husband could have broken her neck and walk away Scott-free.
in the officers defense the guy came running at him with a gun in his hand, what i would have done I would have unloaded the clip, ejected the loaded round and threw the gun down on the ground and walked to the cop.
that's wrong i think because it happened in front of church street bar & grille not at the mermaids tail and NO WAY!!!!!!!!! i live there too!!! except i go to steele high school
Leave it to the cops to show up after a civillian has defused the situation, then shoot at the wrong guy and make all the women cry. Thankfully they are as good at shooting as they are a serving and protecting.
Would-be Good Samaritan Donald Gregg waved off the orders of an Amherst police officer before grabbing a gun from a man who was holding it on a woman.
Then he ran toward the officer with the gun, and the officer fired at him.
The officer, Devin Small, fired at him because he was in fear for his life, Amherst police Lt. Joseph Kucirek said during a press conference Tuesday when a video of the incident taken from a police cruiser's dashboard was released.

hm, i see a bounch of idiots making hate comments on this video for the cops.
yeah why should an officer shoot someone running towards him in the middle of the night with a gun in his hand...
i give credit to the guy that helped but...
if you take a risk accept the consequences.
