Ok I misread that. I thought you said it was made to look like an M16. It does look like one, but I strongly doubt it's made from one. I've seen those kinds of guitars a few times before.
only thing I never got onboard with from Sasha was MDFMK... just never did much for me... Pre-Adios I FRIGGIN LOVE - this song is easily one o my faves, and I'm mostly down with the post-Adios... or I just have a serious thing for Lucia... one of the three... (Plus Steve n Jules kick ASS)
I didn't know of KMFDM prior to the break-up so although I'm a huge fan I must admit that most KMFDM between WDYKD? and Nihil, which are among my favorites does appear rather ridiculous and boring to me. I'm glad they never took themselves too serious
I have just brought the reissued Naive CD and I saw in the booklet that the "O Fortuna" samples had to go as the Orff estate objected. I have now heard the "uncut" version of this song. I loved it. Thank you for presenting this.
I had a friend that pretended to be Sascha and I internet dated him, before he told me that he was Sascha. Later on I got him to admit that he isn't, he was just a huge fan
I wish En Esch (bald guy) would come back to KMFDM. I can't stand Lucidia anymore. Sascha if you read this please, she's ruining your music, get En Esch back some how!
I remember reading somewhere that Sascha invited both Guenther and En Esch back after KMFDM was reformed and they slapped him with a lawsuit. But that should be verified I guess. Sascha is really tight-lipped about the past. In most interviews he says nothing about the past, always concentrating on the future. Which is admirable I guess, but I really like 90's KMFDM the most. Post-Adios isn't really my bag, so to say.
goody gumdrops!! I saw this concert in Hawaii, so glad they still have Carl Orff's sample in the back. I had the tape, lost it got the CD and was like WTF? no Carl Orff? Back when KMFDM ruled the world!
Carl Orff's punk ass estate rep threatened to sue, so KMFDM pulled the origional and re-issued the cd. (Orff himself was dead.)They still do the Orff version live...(if you can find them playing live)
musikalisch isses schon sehr gut (obwohl mir die version von '97 besser gefällt) aber mal ehrlich...wenn die sich damals ernst genommen hätten wären sie die Einzigen gewesen
Yeah Eric Harris was a KMFDM fan. Jeff Weise preferred Horrorcore, Kip Kinkel even liked the 1996 Romeo & Juliet. What's your point? Anyway, excellent video, never heard Liebeslied performed so well.
Yeah, the evil music must have controlled his mind and made him shoot all those innocent kids. KMFDM is also responsible for 9/11, the Tiananmen Square massacre, The TWA Flight 800 crash, and the Holocaust.
Ach...
the audio isn't very clear here. The liebeslied video that was up before was a bit more enjoyable to listen to.. though this is more fun to watch :) It'd probably try to freak en esch in his skirt, too!

For some reason I kept thinking the guitar strap on (i think it might be) Sascha looked alot like an ammo belt for a machine gun.

Yes it is and look at the guitar carefully. It is made from an M-16 I believe!

Well I'll be damned it sure does. :D

Who's the guitarist with the fro?
Saibot216 3 years ago
Probably Mark Durante.
You could always email Sasha and ask him. I've emailed him a couple of times and if you make your question short and concise he will probably answer.
I *heart* KMFDM

KMFDM at their most brutal. Stunning.
somedudeinva 3 years ago 15
I'd like to add that this is also KMFDM at their most German.
I love how that crazy fucker En Esch is just bouncing around the stage hitting things like a retired cage fighter who forgot to take his meds.
I love crazy fuckers who charge around hitting things.
I love songs that sample that classical tune. You know the one.
I love this album.
I love KMFDM.

This is simply fabulous.
Are there more old live vids that are of comparable quality? Most are poor quality bootlegs.
This is the best version of this song I've ever heard.

sascha accept lucia, he isnt under her control. its all part of KMFDM's evolution which has been evident right from the start.

"Let her Go"
"forget about her"
"Leave her alone"
My best guess is the first, Sascha's mouth makes a O shape so whatever he did say ended in a Strong "O"
Mikey129 5 years ago
yeah, that's what i thought, after all it was an O shape that made me notice him saying anything at all
