Actually, we don't know the date of Christ' birth and he was not necessarily born in April. Thats a myth. There is evidence, however, he was concieved on Dec. 25th. I forgot who was talking about it. But yeah- what difference does it make if his birthday wasn't the 25th? We just celebrate his birth that day.

Yes- you're right. There are other accounts of the flood- what does that tell you? It actually gives more support for evdience that a major flood did occour over the land. There is no true way to know the exact date of the census, it is most likely it did occour at the time of Jesus birth.
