@Oct21FairyTale Same where I come from , if its on the boat and used to fender off, it’s a Fender , once it is in the water and marks something , it becomes a Buoy “ marker” i.e Marking a swinging mooring , or obstruction or fisherman’s nets. Navigation Buoys are a totally different Buoy and cant be called the same as a fender.All around the world they use the correct maritime terminology apart from America
