I work for a large bank and approved 100's of PEOPLE for HAMP. Most of them are extremely pleased and very thankful. The guidelines are easy. If your gross income is <31% you do not qualify. At that point, you would seek out an internal or investor option, not the govt. option B/C you CAN afford your home.

Been there, done that. There's no such thing. It's only a scam to get you to make more payments while the bank is getting the foreclosure process going. Yep....only time. I applied over 4 months ago and since I am on time with my payment wells Fargo refuses to tell me if I even qualify!

LOAN MODIFICATIONS ARE A FRAUD. NPV MEANS YOU ONLY GET HELP IF YOUR HOUSE IS UPSIDE DOWN. YOU ONLY GET HELP IF THE BANK CAN TAKE MORE MONEY FROM YOU THAT WAY. HAMP means OBANA made it legal to steal your home.
