  • I really like this but If u could show me different angles please I would highly appreciate it.

  • Why do the comments have squares

  • If someone reacts quick enough, can't they get their hooks in and take your back? So many of those throws are risky... only a select few pull them off against elite competition. Even Dong Hyun Kim and Caro Parisyan didn't get them off on the regular. Caro honestly got more blocked than I've seen him get the throws effectively.

  • Hmm could this break my opponents arm?. Also if your not strong enough to lift your opponents weight will this not work?.

  • @craig041204 strength just makes everything more fun

  • @craig041204

I've seen in Judo, guys throw people with 100lbs on them. I am 250lbs and I've had 155lb fighters throw me in training. It's all technique. If you can get your opponents weight up, like in a hip throw, size and strength are only bonuses, not neccissary. Look up some good Judo techniques and you will see what I mean

  • a better take down and simple as is the Head and Arm drag! With this you are risking getting chocked out, because a real wrestler would lower his level and make it harder to flip him

  • its just so PAINFUL to watch a guy teach really poor technique. I don't care if you are not familiar with Judo but anyone with common sense knows not to start a takedown by setting yourself up in a submission. This arm throw or in judo: ( ipon seoi nage)should be more tight and lock the opponent's arm by squeezing under his armpit with your forearm and biceps.

  • HOW MUCH PIZZA AND BEER DO U EAT AND DRINK. U ARE A JOKE. YOU TRAIN? I MEAN REALY TRAIN ? HOW MANY HOURS A DAY? 2 DAYS A WEEK? OR HAVE YOU REALY TRAINED? I HAVE TRAINED SINCE AGE 5 YRS OLD. I AM 46 YRS OLD. 41 YRS.. I HAVE FOUGHT ON THE STREET IN GANGS . I HAD TO FIGHT TO THE DEATH. . death changes everything. ur tricks will get u killed. STOP MAKEING A FOOL OF YOURSELF. YOUR VIDEO IS CHILDS PLAY, STOP Makeing videos and go train, for 8 hours a day 7 days a week . and go on a diet. death

  • @hamgunns22 You're 46 years old and you can't spell 'making' right? HAHAHAHA!

  • thats an easier version of the jap whizzer

  • Great instructor

  • surub stiu procedeu!

  • it would be more effective if u hav ur feet side by side touching

  • @knesknes1 : yeah, I know what you mean, but it would not be realistic friendo. I have wrestled for 8 years and judo for 10 yrs and it just doesn't work that way when your much much quicker with no gi.

thing I hate about judo is they only teach so little and do not teach anything else that can translate to another martial arts. Just turtle up dude!

  • the thing is you dont force them you go into the fetal position

  • these guys practise endless hours and then makes it look so easy...

  • @scbilder well I was actually just giving the guy a complement. And idk what you mean by "bigger" but it is traditionally a jujitsu technique, judo copied it first and then came wrestling. But it's no biggie, in fact the founder of judo said that he copied the double leg and the fireman's carry from wrestling and those were his favorite techniques.

  • This is usually a bad idea in MMA. If your going against anyone decent, all they are going to do is sink their hips and then they have your back for a rear naked. Try 5 of them with a partner as good as you, he'll get your back more than you'll get the TD

  • @crzybo86 ehhh you're right but the arm throw is quick and unlike your partner your opponent won't exactly expect it...from the starting position he could have gone shoulder throw, single/double leg take down etc. I definitely understand what youre saying though and dont fully disagree

  • @crzybo86 true

  • @crzybo86 trust me if u do this fast enough they wont get a hold of ur back ! this specific move won me a silver medal at my wrestling tournament !

  • haha all you people who think his technique is bad, you are wrong. You need to block with your hips or the opponent will walk right around. And to people who think that this takedown is risky, it isnt. In fact there is more of a risk of getting guillotined from a double leg. Trust me I do judo :) and this guy seems to have learned the wrestling variation witch is more for competition/nogi but just as practical

  • I like the internet blackbelts who waste there time typing what is and isnt mma. why dont you got ou and trin not bost your ego by criticizing others

  • This is a 'ippon seoi nage' technique in Judo.

  • Comment removed

  • that is a judo throw, not a grappling mma takedown.

  • @2431346 mma is mixed martial arts... Judo is a martial art so it is mma

  • this is alot like a judo hip toss

  • @ILuvUrMammy really? cuz the footwork is way different, he doesnt match hips, and u cant throw a hip toss from a collar tie like that

  • @LODIwrestlingWI39 Who said you can't throw a hip toss from there? You can also throw a hip Sag.

An awesome hip toss from there is easy. Just pull on the arm and with your hand which is on the collar try going around his neck and go grab deep, really deep for his tricep.. The rest is just the basic execution of the Hip Toss.

  • @tearo thats a head and arm throw. so i guess we r both right

  • Bad throw ...

  • i guessed he's passionate about his wrestling.

    bless his soul.

  • JUdo, no wresling

  • do they know there is another pair of dudes in the room copying their every move?

  • @mmastudyer thats a mirror! ohhh

  • You're supposed to hold your opponents arm around your upper arm, not over your shoulder, otherwise the guy can choke your ass.

  • @lwjo93 That's why you do it quickly...

  • @lwjo93 sure if u throw it as slow as u prolly do

  • tried this Move during a wrestling match made the kid cried when i pined him XD

  • blablabla...alright?

  • So which of your "favorite" throws is your favorite? ;p

  • I swear I'm gonna try this move for my first HS wrestling match next week.

  • this is also a great way to get set up to get rear naked choked. lol all he has to do is get his hooks in when fatty drops to his knees. good for a raw wrestling match but never ever drop to your knees when doing arm throws in mma or submission grappling.

  • You may want to under hook the arm instead of putting it over, once the throw is complete. The guy can start to escape back door etc. quicker if you put it over ,rather than under. Think about it.

  • This takedowns is wrong

  • 1:27 is asking to get choked out!!!!!

  • This move is from Judo and its called Morote Soei Nage

  • @NikosTour16 its not a morote soei nage, its a ippon seoinage

  • Wow. This guy sucks. He violates a cardinal rule of all fighting styles, be it wrestling, boxing, or any martial art: NEVER CROSS YOUR FEET!!!!!!!!!

  • @rangerswhipass that's a much more common move than you think. anytime you turn around and have your back towards the opponent (for a throw) you cross your legs (judo uses it a lot, as well a jujitsu, and most martial arts that use throws). crossing the legs enables you to step into your opponent quickly and getting close enough for the takedown.

what he's doing wrong is he's using a "weak" part of his body above his centre of gravity (shoulder and torso) instead of a strong part (hips)

  • Wow. This guy sucks. He violates a cardinal rule of all fighting styles, be it wrestling, boxing, or any martial art: NEVER CROSS YOUR FEET!!!!!!!!!

  • @rangerswhipass True!!!

  • No! No! No! Shoot your legs bethween his legs, not next to them, this is just stupid. Look up the judo version, its way better.

  • isn't there a high risk of getting trapped in a rear naked choke while executing this move? specially when your turning in, you seem vulnerable to it.

  • @Nevalim if your a wrestler its high ricked because if your opponent sees it coming and knows what to do they will end up on top... and yes if your in mma you will have your back exposed a rear naked choke (if cought by someone who know how to defend it)

  • @Nevalim i dont think so because of the momentum

  • that starting position does not happen in a real fight i want to c all that in a real street fight.

  • @tacosdeperro8484

this is for mma you dumb fuck

  • @tacosdeperro8484 street fighting is gay

  • nice !!takedown very usefull ,roman greco throw!i am a 3 stripe purple belt in bjj/ pro mma fighter out of american top team wolfpack, notice how he putz his hip threw, that makes it hard 4 sumone 2 take ur bak, now if he did a sieo nage judo throw, then he would be more prone 2 gettin his bak takin, due 2 the fact that they line ther hips up vs puttin the hipz all the way threw 4 the throw, i use this throw all the time!very applyable!

  • thats my fav take down!!!!

  • I agree with jusDatGuy1989, I dont like how he pulls it off, you would have to drill this technique to perfection to use it effectively i reckon

  • in a real fight situation is that even doable without getting yourself into a headlock or possible rear naked choke? it seems like it would only work against someone alot smaller or someone that stands still

  • well considering leon puts his left arm down for you to get in, you could get the throw everytime. but i mean if he keeps it up, i don't think you would have the leverage to throw him properly.

  • idk what that was, but it looked much less effective than the arm throws Pat Smith taught us.

  • @ArkansasWrestler Everyone has their own style. I've been training/teaching/competing in MMA for the last 10 or so years. My arm-throws look sloppy compared to these, but they are effective, for me...

  • dont force that arm down, ease up on the foot- work. your main goal here is to pull both your hips through your opponents' and and pop out. i noticed your first example was poor due to footwork an hips.

  • excellent information on mma guys! will help alot people, who watch this against bullying,

  • Guy in the green looks like Michael Phelps

  • His cholesterol must be high

  • i wanna see that fat dude bang his knee on the road.

  • @jerryx2000 This shit ain't for fighting on the street, so stfu.

  • Comment removed

  • @xAristaicx What do u want to say? Its empty?

  • @jerryx2000 oh i wanted to point out that you absolutely owned the shit through that buzzer917 gimp hahaha

  • I dont care about mcdonalds fake smoothies! dumb ads! cool takedown techique

  • Um ya it sounds good butttt theres just a couple things I think that could be reversed about it, like if the guy in the green put down his leg and kinda stopped the momentum then bam he has you in a choke! Or if he doesn't manage to actually roll over you, he'll have your back and can go for a rear naked choke or another dominant position. But I understand this move is really all about the momentum, just have to make sure hes coming forward and use that. Otherwise like I said it can be reversed

  • its a judo technique called ippon doei nage efficient but hard to masterise.

  • yea thats a good move to get catch up in a head lock

  • this is sooooo risky man. this has rear naked choke death written all over it unless you do it perfectly.

  • his Technic is soo inefficient, the guy is half his size and he still comes down really slow cuz its not a good leverage... mine would be that slow on the lift if the guy was twice my size not half... and for a good arm throw you need someone to push on you, not the opposite... thumbs up if you agree based on your wrestling experience!... I love this sport!

  • @lovesxephil thatts true, the guy has to be charging at you if anything. or atleast from my experiences, im a lighter guy thats why.

  • Great one!

  • could this move hurt your back.

  • I will try this on my brother

  • Agreed. The arm needs to be controlled at the thrower's elbow bend right on the bicep so the opponent's arm doesn't slip up to the thrower's neck.

  • can you guys put the text in the the box below, I can barley see the video with text pasted on front??????

  • That's a very effective and simple takedown.........

  • @Daniel28363 i agree

  • this could be better. he could easily get caught in a rear naked choke or a guillatine and it's over, if you put the arm your doing the under hook on the arnpit instead put it between his legs and throw him off is ballance hes a lot easier to take down and you'll be clear of an armbar once your opponents on the ground. or just put an underhook on the other side and go for the hip throw its alot less dangerous.

  • yeah there are 3 counters I could think of for this, so you have to be pretty quick with this technique to pull it off.

  • rnc would be a good counter.

  • I remembered one year guy tried this one me but I just dropped my wieght and ended up getting a Saturday night ride... Oooh yeah

  • every thing these guy do acctually works i practice this on my older brother nd he crys like a bitch lol ima make my own school fights vids with me doing mma lol add me az a frend if u wana see em

  • well i just startred mma thesz vid help me alot i got to fighure out how to do all this stuff

  • I used this in folkstyle a few times.

its such an easy takedown and almost no one expects it.

  • Every takedown is this guy's favorite takedown...

  • @jimmyboo12 ahahahaha true

  • @jimmyboo12 HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH

  • @jimmyboo12 this guy will take you down.

    yay for word play nigga

  • lmao I gave myself a mild concussion doing this in freestyle semi finals. notice at the end when his head comes down. I was to fast and enthusiastic and his arm was really sweaty and whoopsie daisy banged my head on the mat. I ran up to my coach afterward and said I couldn't see straight and I could smell hotdogs. lmao. I still won but damn it hurt and I wasn't allowed to sleep all night and day. after cutting weight and doing a state tournament. rule 1 do it early on.before they get slippery !!

  • aha thats a great story, i actually was so sweaty and slippery one time and this guy went for a double leg, so i shot back but my arm slid right off his head so it literally looked like i just belly flopped on the ground, coach thought it was funny as hell

  • this is a basic judo throw, if you nail this right theres no way hed be able to counter with a body triangle or choke u out.

  • looks like all he'd have to do is arch his hips to stop your from bending and then lock in the body triangle and by how tight your head is tucked in he would be able to get in a rear naked choke. but thats if he was looking for a throw

  • These moves are awesome for a takedown but if he can counter and choke you out when ur head is inbetween his elbow on the flip he can choke you out and win.

  • the most important part is when he shows the lifting thats the sign that is going pretty well.If not you can abandon the move.

  • its actualy a judo throw called eppostieonagga (ee po stie o nagge)

  • @austee2014

    actually its ippon seoi nage

  • @austee2014.... Nah, Ippon is more with the point of the shoulder shoved up into the armpit of the opponent. This is simply an American Freestyle Wrestling throw.

  • haha thanks!

    i was just mistaken

  • im going on a road trip in august. any martial artist who would like to make some new friends and practice a bit who lives in alabama, georgia, louisiana, nevada, arizona, texas, new nexico, mississippi, or california message me. take care

  • I like this throw, You gotta be quick though because you might get caught with a rear naked choke

  • this is a hell sick move and well explained too

  • the closer your on the step behind high increase the amplitude of your throw if you elevate him over your hips.

  • congrats man. thats great!

  • last one is retarded, if they are even slightly familiar to these moves they will noe what u are up to and counter u into a head lock :S

  • not really, if you are 100% confident in this move dont use it because yes that will happen... but if you go full force into the drop the one arm they have free isnt going to be able to do anything.even if you mess it up you spin into guard. theres a risk with EVERYTHING you do.... no different with this

  • i guess haha, the only reason i said that was because it happened to me haha

  • heh yeah dont get discouraged. i find the biggest mistake people make is AFTER making a mistake they avod that move. its not the move, its your technique :P improve, practice, fix it, but keep it in your repetoir ;)

  • reason. you should be controling his right wrist with your left hand. when you step in to throw. his arm should be turned out straight."makes head lock no option." when you step in your butt should line up with his right leg. pop him up and pull arm down do not let go of wrist then do any thing you want.

  • not good.

  • I prefer the headlock throw to this because if you land on your opponent it could knock the wind out of them.

  • If you do it fat enough that aint a problem, MartialArtist187.

  • I don't like this throw. Although I'm sure it works. Don't like how you wrap their arm around your neck. =/

  • Ippon senonagi was my best throw in Judo & Jujitsu you can get a KO with this throw on its own. In street fights be careful not to crack their head open on concrete, (its easy to do if you are aiming to win the fight my driving the head into the sidewalk) its happened once in a fight I know of, luckily for the attacker he recovered after a few months.

  • This is really awesome cuz not only do you throw them down on the ground but you get to pound the hell out of whoever afterwards.

  • Japanese Wizzer

  • he says, " this is my favorite takedown, so practice it. "

just 'cause it's your favorite, we have to practice it? LOLOLOL.. ?

  • yes,you have to practice it for that reason;so start right away !

    hihihi

  • practice it because its a good takedown and you have to be very skilled to do or if lets say im a highschool wrestler facing off against a very skilled wrestler i would need to know it perfectly because one mistake and a very skilled person would catch you

  • Nice :)

  • well, to get really technical, it is under the basic "arm throw"

But the first one is called a japanese arm throw.

  • i find the hip toss more effective

  • this is actually a judo move, you need to execute it for your blue - brown belt problem is around the arm is terribly easy to break out of and have it turned around on you, this move is supose to be used around his waist you cant get out of it then ;) so grab his left arm and swing right arm around his hip twist, slam down and finish with the arm/ neck lock

  • not necessarily. I've practiced a few judo movements and one of them was the movement that he does... just not with your head into his arm, but is quite similar. The secret of this throw is twist your head as much as possible while you're going down, then your opponent it's gonna fall surely.

  • i agree.. with head movement.. if i could i'd use a ippon seoi otoshi.. sode tsuri komi goshi if i could.. sode can be trick but compared to that i'd work with ippon seionage for armthrow or seoitoshi anyday. gotta see mma ashi waza (footwork) .. a drop seoinage can get you choked unless you trap that other arm behind you.. good ashi waza is an amazing skill.. sets up to stay up, and stay dominant.. check out lyoto's sweeps.. beautiful mix of striking with it

  • (Box them to get the right distance then go to clinch)

Something I learned from boxing for MMA is that if you are in a clinch & someone wants to take you down you can stop them by punching their hips.

This makes space for you to drop & spring up into a standing ippon seonagi then drop with all your weight forward to get the kneeling shoulder throw, drop them on their head for a KO.

Good tip in your comment PerfectWorldAZa, thanks.

  • very fun move!

  •

  • lmao jaja

  • haha seen the new episode of south park?

  • apparently the 5 people who gave me a thumb down havent, hahaha .

but seriously if anyone tried that move on me Id just pile drive em, its too easy to defend with the foot stomp face slap guys

  • one flaw in this move you could get into a headlock. thats why when i go for this move instead of putting my arm under his i wrap my arm around his head b4 i throw to make sure the guy im fighting doesnt turn it around on me. and once were on the ground i normaly go for an arm bar.

just how i do it though

    squirrely91

  • Charles is amazing in these tutorials.

  • they also call that a japanese wizard

  • at 1:21 if you did the throw really slow then you would get owned by a choke

  • yeah cause if the guy getting thrown thought fast he would choke the other guy

  • yerr i wouldnt really recommend the second throw,if u try this on some1 who knows mma their gna take u into a headlock straight away,u might pull it of if u can do it hell fast,otherwise..not really

  • aka japanese wizard

  • wait is this legal on highschool wrestling first year doing it

  • Comment removed

  • yes it is, did it last year in my 8th grade, try it in practice and in a match vs a inexpierenced wrestler, if you make a mistake, u will be screwed

  • yes, this is legal

  • If this is MMA he can strike and then throw. A good strike could make this technique more effective. Also, this is a shoulder throw not an arm throw. This means the opponent is thrown with the shoulder An effective shoulder throw involves tucking the opposite arm under the throw arm pinning the arm with your shoulder and then throwing. This eliminates any chance of a counter headlock, etc. Also, you can stab the motherfucker in the eye.

  • or put a bullet in his chest lol, but this move is really hard to pull of, your opponent really has to be pushing into you for it to work properly.

  • Great! ;D

  • to the guy who said this is no good, that isn't entirely true. If one practices this "risky" move to a point where its second nature to do...the chances of success in this throw are kinda high. If one mixes up his throws and takedowns and pulls this one out on an unsuspecting opponent, then the success of this is high. Jon jones used this against Stephan bonnar at ufc 94

  • Expert my ass!

  • Yo fat man, why dont you go to Ufc or something like that because you are smart and strong.

    Lolčina do jaja

  • manny manny is right doing this shit is asking to get your neck broken just look at the black shirt guy at 0:26 to 0:29. nobody can tell the difference between this and a guy being put in a headlock!

  • can someone pm and tell me if this works on bigger people

  • Yes it works in bigger people ...its an adaptation from Judo , it is called Drop Seoi-Nagi . Karo Parisian use it in MMA very effectively .

  • gogogogoogog

  • the guy in green pulls back and he has him in a choke or head lock. this is no good.

  • @mannnymanny I dont think the guy in the green would have enough time 2 react if just does it

  • i love this throw. im trying it in my next wrestling match

  • the name of the first move is drop seio nage and the second move is like seio nage but if it dont working it possible that you've getting chocks and you can breal your neck when you throw the other man make sur that your very good for doing this technique befor using it in a fight !

  • or makikomi

  • i do mma and this look alot like daki kubi jime
