  • If you do finally become a fireman and want to use this pack in a fire, you will need to get a Scott bottle. If you or your dept used this and you were killed in a fire, NIOSH would have a very serious problem with its use since you are using bungee cords to hold the valve end to the pack.

  • how can you test a high nd low pressure cheked????

  • scott scbas are the best!

  • it was already pressurized?

  • @Ltb0b Yupp! I got it pressurized a few days before i think haha. the bottle was shipped empty btw haha

  • Hey Man, So You Can Be A Volunteer Firefighter When You Turn 18, If There Is A Volunteer Department Near You. I'm 18 And I Joined Up. You Should Be A Volunteer Until Your 21. It Will Make Time Go By Sooo Fast.

  • How much was the scba with the bottle and where did you get it?

  • @stormlover28 I found the pack for 175.00 on Ebay and I bought the tank from another person on ebay for 100.00

  • @1silverwillie wow that's crazy. My department is buying 7 new bottles for 1000 each

  • hey just a heads up if you go onto ebay there are currently about 5 different people selling scott bottles(30's 45's and 1hr) for under 100$ there is one used 30min bottle for like 35$ good luck with becoming a FF

  • @silentknight2112 Thank You!

  • You need to make a video on how to operate the pass

  • wanna sell it?

  • @cjff71 no

  • i have an ex millitary interspirowith intergrated pass . i just wanted an scba ....... they are just cool

  • How much does a SCBA typically weigh?

  • @ullyis About 30-35 pounds

  • @1silverwillie

wth ours way 15pounds and mostly less , but we use all lightweight materials. we use MSA/Auer BD96 packs ( german) our airtanks are way diffrent also the shutter valve doesnt have a gauge on it, we have a check gauge over the shoulder. nice to see a good explenation of these packs. stay safe ;)

  • dude i was 2 when 911 happend and i have wanted to be a firefighter

  • i hate scott i'm 14 and a Jr. Fire fire fighter and i like the MSA and when i'm 18 and can be a fire fighter

  • That's In bad condition if he had to use bungee cords

  • Nice. I am getting an AV-2000. It should be here within a week or two. I like them better than the AV-3000 because the AV-3000's head harnesses aren't the greatest. The AV-2000 has a far more reliable head harness AND you can put fog wipers on them ALOT easier compared to the AV-3000 which is harder to apply fog wipers on.

  • you have to be 21? I started when i was 14 as an explorer and i became a full fire fighter at 18. I'm Currently 20 and have a pretty long list of certification like Advanced Rapid Intervention Team (down fire fighter rescue team), confined space rescue, high angle rescue (use of ropes) and advanced vehicle extrication. I'm on the engine at my fire house but I'm cross trained on the Truck (ladder truck) and rescue.

  • Yeah, I have to be 21 to apply for my local FD. But i am not going to apply until I am 22 because I plan on getting a BA in fire science and a BA in EMT stuff. I am 14 right now and the Chief of my local department promised me a ride along as soon as i turn 18. Hopefully the next 4 years will go by fast! Thanks for watching

  • right with you man. im still 16 but my whole family is in it and i know more than some guys in our department i live for this. thats bad we are in a working progress lol

  • hey bro can u refill the bottles? if so how do they do it, i am from aussi and we dont have this stuff to buy, i am intrested in buying one from states.. cheers

  • I take mine to either a SCUBA shop or a fire dept. supply store. They hook up a high pressure air compressor to the bottle, and fill it. I bought mine off of ebay. That is your best bet.

    Thanks!

    Happy Holidays!

  • Did you ever get the PASS fixed?

  • I did, but i took a video of it going off and since it is so loud, my camera mic made it sound like something from starwars. Thanks for watching!

  • Can you do a review without it going off?

  • Also,...just a helpful hint...When you screw your valve into your tank, do it BEFORE you strap the tank down. You need to have that tank be able to move freely to more easily line up the threads on the coupling. Also,...your regulator wont be hooked up to your mask until after your mask is on. I wish you had a department closer to where you live. It is guys like you that make good explorers. Good luck in the future, and I hope you do well when you DO join!

  • That's way cool that you have your own Scott! I admire your passion for the fire fighting profession at a young age. Incidentally, your harness is missing a piece. There is a flat piece of steel with a slot cut in it that attaches onto the tank and stays there. This snaps into the harness at the bottom (in place of your "bungee straps"). Trust me, the bungee straps wouldn't hold up to too much heat...LOL.

  • thats because its a survivor bottle on a scott harness

  • you should rig up something on the bottle so it clips in to the bottom of the pack

  • do u no thair is fire Explorer programs?

  • Yeah, The closest one to me is 27 miles north of my house. And it goes on too late at night.

    Thanks for watching!

  • I get it filled at Lighthouse diving. or a fire dept supply store. Thanks for watching!

  • Where'd you get the air filled? Always wanted to get one to add to my collection of NBC equipment, but never knew where I'd fill it.
