There is only 1 MacBook that Apple Sells, which is the polycarbonate one (Polycarbonate Unibody). This was updated very recently, the Aluminium Unibody MacBook no longer exists as a product. It was replaced by the 13" MacBook Pro.
@chrismacguy I was going to buy one and i would hate to buy one and it be updated as soon as i get it you know. The Polycarbonate Unibody, Haw much does it cost ?
As far as Im aware the cheapest US prices are actually very close to Apples own price of $999. I dont think its likely that they will be updated, but if you want to play it beyond super-safe, Id wait till the end of this month, as the next Apple event is January 26th 2010. Although Im pretty sure they wont be unveiling a new Polycarbonate MacBook. A Tablet etc etc maybe, but I highly doubt they will update the existing product line.
Hey Chris my mac rumours buddy! Before I saw this video was up, I thought that a Mac Pro refresh might be coming out soon, it was the weirdest thing! Damn imagine a 30" iMac, even the 24" look massive, I just can't start think to how large that must be! Anyway, awesome video as always!
I am imagining a 30" iMac, and I want one, take the 30" Cinema Display and give it another 2 inches at the bottom and make it a lil thicker - boom 30" iMac! and thanks!
Amazing video there Chris , i think i am going to do one soon as well, might try some time next week! i think an you should add an imac your your set-up a 24" would look great !
Thats what I thought - it and an iPhone are tying at the top of my endless list of gadgets to get, unless I can get a Mac Pro and 24" ACD of course (yep: im in dreamland again..) - I look forward to seeing yours!
Yeah but the current Mac Pros have way to much power anyway lol! I think the iMacs will go quad and 30inch but the 30inch model will be the pro machine!
I dont think they do - at some points when using my colleges single Mac Pro, I managed to push it to capacity (Running Final Cut Pro, Motion, Shake, Photoshop CS4 and Mathematica all at once doing complex things can max it out) I would love a 30" Quad iMac, preferably even thinner than the current one - maybe it would be the iMac Pro..
What' s the different between Apple Display and normal monitor?

I know - time to start saving! - Imagine: 12 Cores at 3.33Ghz - now that would be a screamer of a machine
chrismacguy 2 years ago
It would also have 12 virtual cores and each core would have 2 threads going to it!

Exactly - that would really let Adobe CS4 and Final Cut breathe properly, and give Safari enough ram xD
