Since when is getting your stick back from an opponent who's holding it a penalty? But we got 'em back three days later with an amazing comeback win--that's here on YouTube also. I am SO looking forward to playing this season with Strat-o-matic!

Upon further review...

I just watched the comeback win video again and they said Howe had been ejected earlier in the game so this might have been the same game unless Howe got ejected twice against the Jets in four days. I was going by Mwilland's dates of the game in his descriptions of the videos.

That ref must be insane; that's GORDIE HOWE!!! Even if Gordie shat on the ref's mom, Gordie should still stay in the game. It's not about the 'rules' of hockey at all! Great clip!

What? The NHL was just as violent back in those days and pushing a ref has happened quite often in the NHL. The WHA was a major pro league that lasted 7 seasons and saw 4 teams join the NHL. The XFL was a bullshit minor pro league that last one season...No comparisation!

Well, I am not totally agree with the penalty of high-stick since it seem that the other player retain the stick to, but he push the referee and  is that out of the game automatically.

that was a bad call...yeah his stick was around the guys waist and today thats a pim right away but his stick was held and came up b/c thats how it was directed by the jet holding it... and you cant say crosby couldnt play in this league cuz the players today are stronger than back than, im not a crosby fan but hes a tough kid and coulda made it back in this era too.

i agree with everything you said, but Crosby could not compete back then, there were so many cheap shots and shit, hockey was a totaly different game. crsby is a tough kid though, and he is great.
