I use the Snipping tool in the tablet features so I cant turn that off. I don't think it will make that big of a difference on or off.

I need major help!!! i have originally got vista home premium on my laptop. my friend gave me this copy of windows 7 ultimate to install and i did.. ever since then ive had the problem of:

no internet on vista.

cannot run games i could peviously run.

i deleted 2 softwares when installing windows 7 (trend internet micro security and another one i cant remember ... it started with the letter "I" and it recommended i needed to delete it to continue with my installation of 7--please help!!

great info on your vid's, but i disabled tablet thinking that i dont use it anyway. it removed snipping tool(vista's screen cap) & it also slowed down the way some of the control panel options load, such as checking for updates. not really sure what else it disabled. but reinstalling the function was easy. just an fyi to all who try this. keep the vid's comming wizkid!, 5*

cleaning up your disk gives your computer more space for other crap you want to download and it makes you computer go faster. Use the "Disk Clean-Up", "Disk Defragmenter", and the "Disk Check"!

having problems with VISTA and Wireless? you probably are and you don't know.... type in search (the bubble) cmd, command prompt will pop up, in command prompt please type netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel= desabled

Please clarify: "turn off" (as in not bog down Windows while running everything else) or "remove" (gone from your computer, never to return)? You use both terms to describe the uncheck process...

Suppose I later want the games back? Are they still there, waiting to be reactivated? Or are they gone from the computer?

You are correct, it does not uninstall the feature, it disables it, freeing up resources , performance and also less clutter on your programs menu for example. You can enable them back at any time. I will post details about each feature and more on my blog
