Yea right Olberman...Obama has shreeded our Constitution "a goverment of men and not laws" hell lets get more laws and socialization until the founding fathers start spining.
The worst part is there is a TINY following of this fool of a reporter. Is THIS reporting? Accusations with nothing? Its all a part of the liberal media's attempt to get one of their own in power. Didnt work. Prey it doesnt work this fall. Obama in the white house is the demise of this country. Higher taxes, less incentive to make it on your own. Wow, what a country it will be. MSNBC needs taken off the air, LOL. Its not news. Its propaganda.
The idiot Bush invaded and destroyed the wrong country. The economy is down the tubes. The dollar is worthless. The whole world hates us. Bush set the record for the highest disapproval rating of any president in the 70-year history of the Gallup Poll. And yet the pro-Bush retards are still whining about the Dems. I LUV IT !!!
No you hate that he speaks the truth about bush and his ridiculous administration who doesnt care about Americans. Everything that he has done has put us in dire straights! Everything has gone up from gas to food because of bush's unchecked nonsense. Bush has played on the fears and emotions of the people destroying anything that America at times stood for. This is a sad situation and I appreciate Mr. Olberman for his truthfulness.
We should be concentrating on the people who want to slaughter us regardless of our political identity, but instead we like to bash one another with no real conclusion.
"The 2nd largest decline was suffered by O'Reilly (-21%). Hannity & What's His Name took the Bronze (-17%). Of the MSNBC programs opposite those losers, Olbermann's Countdown was the biggest gainer (55%), which I'm sure doesn't bother O'Reilly at all."
After Sep 11th politicians wanted to make war because war = money for them, and after supposedly having the information needed they took action by going to Afghanistan but since they couldn't get the "one" responsible they headed for someone else. After a civil war(currently in iraq)& after thousands of people dead they still haven't got the "one" responsible for the disaster because "they" didn't have a concrete plan. Keith talks for alot of people that agree with him, half the nation.
So true. But you're leaving out the part about Bush rewarding his supporters, the oil-dealers and arms merchants like Halliburton. Afghanistan, Iraq, and next Iran...all to carve up countries with oil, keep the public docile & fearful like sheep, and get deficit-spending for the war industry.
You don't recognize the revolutionary context within which I'm speaking. What do we do when the judicial branch itself begins arbitrating the constitution? Only the legislature has the constitutional authority to do that...the Courts are supposed to merely read what the legislature has written, and then apply those written words to individual cases...the courts were never intended to arbitrate the constitutionality of what the legislature itself has written.
We were living under tyranny long before Dubbya. The difference here is that the executive branch now arbitrates the constitution as opposed to the judicial. But who are we to start pointing fingers now, after all these years? Tyranny began with the military dictatorship of the 1860's. What makes the executive branch any more or less tyrannical than the judicial?
I guess it all depends on party affiliation. In reality, the legislature should have the highest constitutional authority, but it's been a very long time since anyone has actually played by those rules. The left started this shit, so don't blame the right for using the same tactic.
It's not supposed to be a tyranny. The 3 powers are supposed to be balanced-- judicial, congress, and president running a distant third. Now we have a president claiming emergency war powers and need-for-secrecy. That's new since McCarthyism, not from the 1860s.
I disagree with his notion that the Supreme Court should "oversee it all." That sounds like tyranny. Since when did the courts have more authority to determine constitutionality than the congress? I thought that the courts were here to analyze facts regarding specific cases of alleged constitution-breaking, not to analyze the constitution itself...that's what the congress does, right?
They are there to "analyze facts regarding specific cases of alleged constitution-breaking" yes, and that includes when the president breaks it. They can't just be bobbleheads giving him everything he wants.
Here, here. (Or is it 'Hear hear'?) Either way... it's such a relief to see a prominent and eloquent person cutting through the neocon madness & demanding a return to informed voters, democracy, & accountable government.
Keith Olbermann speaks intelligently which tea-baggers are too stupid to understand.
