  • Paddy Macdee was a newsreader on Look North during the 80's and 90's and is now a breakfast presenter on bbc newcastle radio and he actually hails from southern ireland

  • Yeah, they are still in New Bridge Street. The weather map and studio confirm that. When they moved to Fenham, they got a whole new look.

  • I don't think they moved out of the New Bridge Street studios and into the 'pink palace' until Jan 1988. I have some recordings about that but they aren't dated.

    Network announcer is David Miles, and the RT trailer is voiced by Charles Nove. I suspect that's Roger Limb music at the start of the trailer (I neither know nor care whether he had anything to do with that particular version of the DW theme).
