I love the movie, but I just have to say, the book is way better. It always is. To be honest, I was listening to the soundtrack on "repeat all" the entire time I was reading it. I still have nightmares about velociraptors.
Can someone tell me where the hell I can LEGALLY purchase this song/album online? It's not on iTunes in the US, and only available in CD form (not mp3) on Amazon. WTF?!?!
I don't play piano but I taught myself this song because of how much it means to me. The beginning part is great... and am I the only one who loves 4:08 - 4:32 ?????????? the part is bomb... i know its right before the epic part but damn that sounds heartbreaking and uplifting on the piano.. both at the same time.
I have 32 years old and when I hear this track i back to the past, and remember when I was 14 and attended the premiere of wonder in the film Jurassic Park in my town, everyone applauded at the end of the movie! are some very nice memories of my childhood :) greetings from Spain :)
@Carlit0Tit0 are you fucking dumb? 911 came after 20 century. what i meants was things were wonderful during 1991-2000. you bloody gay ass pussy mother fucking dick shit
@Carlit0Tit0 i did answer the question on how any of that is relevant to anything.. this song brings me back to the innocent life. LOL like i said, freedom of speech, i can say whatever the fuck i want to say you dumb fucking gay ass pussy bloody dick shit.
@Carlit0Tit0 9/11 happened in the 21st century. That was the point. It seems like there is a ton of bad stuff happening in the 21st century. So foodgarbage was trying to say things were good before the 21st century. It has to do with vid because Jurrasic Park was made before the start of the 21st century.
@MassiveRessurection same here. It was a dream never realized for me. I still love dinosaurs, but somewhere along the way growing up I just forgot I did
The most important thing when creating a successful movie is the soundtrack. See Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and of course Jurassic Park. Great soundtracks, great movies.
Also, where the heck was John Williams when James Cameron made Avatar? That movie would have made $4 Billion if it had some music any of us could remember.
The music for Avatar was EPIC when done by James Horner too. It was fantasic, I have huge respect for John Williams but I think that James Cameron's choice in composer was perfect.
@ComposerChick500 It was decent music, but too often Horner recycled recognizable themes that he's reused over and over again in so many movies he was involved in going all the way back to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. In fact, some of WoK can be heard in Avatar. That's not perfection, that's lazy, and Horner is one of the kings of recycled themes in Hollywood.
@Hylanvahr It was fantastic music. And even though he may use repeated themes its not always a bad thing. Repeated themes can create farmiliarity and comfort to the viewers. And all composers stumble across the problem or repetition eventually, its the moment when you can go "Oh hey! That sounds like John Williams!" Or "Oh that is defineatly Hans Zimmer!" Thats how a certain composer develops their signature sound/feel.
@Hylanvahr Not to mention in one of the songs in star wars you can distinctly hear the theme from Harry Potter. (And I'm not putting down John Williams, I think he is fantastic. I'm just proving my point.)
@Blackaljackal Horner? I think you mean John Williams, the composer. Horner is a paleontologist who is also considered the least respectable paleontologist on earth.
Between John Williams and Hans Zimmer, a good portion of my childhood was made better by their soundtracks. If all of their movies had had crappy music it just wouldn't have been the same.
we were a hard generation. we saw dinosaurskilling people and other dinosaurs with the age of 8 or 11, some even earlier! but today!? THEY WATCH SOFT-CRAP AND HAVE BAD DREAMS, WHERE WE JUST HAD LAUGHED!
from about 4:40 and on is my favourite part. It is just so...beautiful and grand. It really shows the majesty and greatness of the park and the moving! Especially at about 6:00 does it really just bring things into full swing!
oooh this brings back good memories. I loved Jurassic Park back then! I remembered my dad taking me and my brother to see it when it first came out at the movies! I really wanna watch it now :)
This film is nearly 18 years old, yet I still class it as a recent release! It beats most of the rubbish that comes out nowadays and has million of dollars poured into the CGI and effects!
Well hell you might as well be saying welcome to jurassic park baby you gonna die
