  • två frågor: hur skär du ut så stora bitar näver utan att det blir hål i dem och hur gjorde du i slutet när du så säga avslutade surningen med den långa näver biten?

  • Thanks for another vid Fredde! Wow, I absolutly love it, as always!! I also love the fact that you did this on a rainy day: it kind of creates a very pleasant environment to watch.

I'm about to buy a mora knife, so I think I'll be able to take it a go on the birch bark sheath, just one question: I'll have to choose from a clipper, a viking, craftsman, scout or the morakniv 2000: which mora knife would you advise me as the best for bushcraft? I hope you could help me a bit with this choice...

    5/5

  • Another great craft! I love your pipe vid!

  • ***** Five of Five *****

    really nice work Fredde !

  • thanks, lots of ppl think the sheath to the mora knife is ugle, so i like to show up a easy way to make a safe birch bark sheath for the mora knife,

  • Another neat project. I'm jealous of your wood growth up there dude. Between the Birch and the Spruce you really have it made lol. Here in the Deep South of Alabama we get paralysis of analysis from hundreds of species, not one of which is spruce lol! And the river birch is the only variety of birch we have. I'll try to find some and make your boxes to see how the species compare.

  • hehehe,, thanks ,, yeah, but its lots of stuff we dont have up here to,

  • Comment removed

  • Hey Armoredsheepdog, do you have tulip poplar in your area? It's bark can be used for lots of stuff. How about linden or basswood? Hickory bark too, some have used it for caneing the seats of chairs. I have been to Headland AL. a couple times, Neat area and lots of cane. I have played with willow bark for some things too. John.

  • We do have carolina and white basswood, tuliptrees (but none of the actual poplars according to my Peterson field guide). There are several varieties of hickory, I wonder if they each vary in their bushcrafting capability: bitternut, shagbark, mockernut, sand, and pignut are the easily found varieties. I need to experiment mixing and matching some of these for fireboards and spindles heh.

  • Well done Fredde! Thanks for sharing! 5/5

  • HA! You stir your coffee with the knife! You've got skills my friend! 5*

  • yeah,, why not, thanks,
