The only difference with Christianity is that hundreds of people actually witnessed these miracles and the very person of Jesus was recorded by the historians and government officials of his time while the pagan gods are myths with no basis in reality. People around the world were also witness to the miracles performed by the Apostles, because of this the Christian faith was believed on by hundreds of thousands in the span of a lifetime.
No other religion in the world can claim that with the exception of Islam, but Islam only spread on the scene so quickly because its first leaders were military leaders who practiced military conquest and would murder those who would not conform to Islam.
Why did Christ have a tomb? Because he was killed! He was dead for three days IN HIS TOMB and then rose to life, was seen by his disciples and then ascended into the Heavens. People "was in great need of something to believe"? The people already believed in either judiasm or paganism.. it is not as if somebody made up Jesus so that they would "have something to believe in". I am sure that those witnesses were true, for example we have evidence of all the early Churches set up by the Apostles.
2.Lets see some facts:i)Islam = Military ii)Christianity = Politics[see Bysantine History] iii)Mirracles that Christ or other Saints did was just myths and are not mentioned in Historical Reviews.
We can compare those miracles to todays holywood SFX.
Also do not confuse Roman politics with Christianity. Catholicism (whether western or eastern) is not Christianity in the truest sense. How can you compare miracles which happened over 2000 years ago to special effects created through the use of todays technology? Logic tells you that would be a stupid and pointless comparison.
Please dont write a book (about anything) until you become better informed and grow up a little, and learn proper grammar.
