  • Just a boat

  • hmmmmm.....get some sheet metal & just extend the wings out a bit :)

  • Made in Rockford, IL, USA

  • What is this music? It's reallly cool.

  • roads? where we're going, we don't need roads...

  • its a not really hovering. A hovering vehicle would be one that's stationary and a good height above the ground. This is just a flying ATV. A very impressive ATV at that.

    (ATV= All Terrain Vehicle)

  • @shiinkii It is an ATAaATV: All-Terrain, Aquatic-and-Aeronautic Transit Vehicle.

  • @shiinkii makes me wonder if someone had the balls to really get it up in the air i think you go go as high or whereever you wanted to with it???

  • I live in fond du lac,

  • Where can you get it

  • what's the music/soundtrack. pls put in video description:)

  • i live by rockford

  • u need a flying and boat license?

  • But will it blend?

  • Ok now all we gotta do is build one with a Big Block Chevy experimental ZL-1 Aluminum V-8 souped up to the max with about 1k horse-power and we can go, "puddle jumping" from lake to lake over entire sections of forest! *Or get going too fast and flip sideways 49 times doing cart-wheels & have our body shoot out of it like a rag-doll... ok... bad visual! ALL-ALUMINUM ZL-1 ENGINE RE-CREATED WITH NEW 'ANNIVERSARY 427' CRATE ENGINE FROM GM PERFORMANCE PARTS Limited-Edition Big-Block...

  • I want one

  • cool but its already been made a long time ago. chinese made some back in the late 80s

  • Reminds me of vice city and trying to fly in that

  • do you have to get a pilots license to legally own one and operate it.

  • @Phar2Rekliss i'd say so - you need a licence for pretty much everything these days, tv licence, driving licence, flying licence, etc. its ridiculous.

  • @motorsiegefan931 I don't think there is a licence for boating

  • @xAS50 well you'd probably need one for this particular boat, because this boat flies too, you might need to be trained with flying it as well,

  • how much?

  • Awesome!!!

  • cool

  • HydroThunder anyone?

  • Oh a bubber boat with bigs= wings and a fan how kool seen it and could care so much less

  • I live in Rockford, Il.. why have i never heard of this :o

  • @Twizzler313 Sounds like you really need to get out of the house more often and that big bright thingy in the sky don't be scared of it its called the sun.

  • Show real balls..put out a price!

  • perfect to have when you drive to fast on the sea and cops comming after you :D

  • where can we buy this stuff?

  • @poginapogi1 Google "Universal hovercraft". :)

  • Stick some hydrofoils on them wings or something

  • looks ropey, if the wing clips the water wrong your in for a horrible crash

  • He's not even belted in!

  • OMG NO WAYY!! when is this gonna be released to the public for cheap i mean cmon atleast make it affordable i only got $5 in my wallet ToT .. i know if its solar powered it should be way more cheaper think about it.

  • it looks to be flying, not hovering

  • A hovercraft AND ground-effect plane in one?

    How much?

  • ......."mom! I want one!"

  • this seems super sketchy

  • MPG might need it to get to work and back if its cheap enough =)

  • ITS THE TRAVELOCITY HOVERCRAFT

  • Looks pretty floaty.

  • If you look closely you can see strings attached to it

  • dear santa...

  • and if someone made it heavier and put it on the moon people would be able to go anywhere on the moon

  • @shumebug Hint no air on the moon? Like How the fuck would it hover? or move around? Just wondering

  • @urzaspath1234 duh.. magic!

  • @andreirocks1992 Smh Was That supposed to be funny?

  • @urzaspath1234 yes :) :P. by the way, it would work if it had an air tank :D

  • @urzaspath1234 i mean the hovering part, not flying with wings part :D

  • if u put some light weight wheels onto it then it would work on land aswell

  • yayo carrying capacity in kilos ?

  • Wow if I can buy this without having to make it then I would this is legendary

  • MAY I INTERJECT? It's not universal if it can't drive on land.

  • @DJMD32 I think you have a great point here. If this could be adapted for legal road driving and then be build to endure crash stress testing along with making it environmentally controllable; like say for example for use in arctic tundra, business could become very lucrative. Actually this could be adapted very easily to be used in future space travel. When we come to that level of compatibility.

  • hey that's awesome!

  • HOLY CRAP THIS IS SICK AND OSOME

  • WHERE IS THE PILOT'S SAFETY BELT!?

  • can it be powered by vw tdi engine converted to run veggie oil.

  • I guess that's as close to flying as you're ganna come with out a pilots license.

  • Technically this isn't a hovercraft, since that would imply that this thing could hover, meaning to glide over a surface with little speed required. This thing just gathers enough speed so that the wings can pick up lift, and since it's so light it can generally lift without too much acceleration. So this is more of a lightweight water-plane ^.^

  • @rotglmao7 It is a hovercraft, though. It is hovering when it moves across the water, and when it gains enough speed it takes off. If you look at it closely you can see that it clearly has an inflatable skirt like a hovercraft rather than a hull like a boat. You can also see in the video that it can travel up onto the beach, meaning it is definitely hovering.

  • @gunterdak You're confused between hovering and gliding. There is a difference. Hovering would imply it can actually HOVER, as in self-propel itself to glide over the ground without speed or momentum. It would have to be able to "hover" in one place, no speed or acceleration required. Like a helicopter, for example. It can hover on one spot, without the need to constantly be moving forward. If this so called "hovercraft" were to stop accelerating, would it still hover? No.

  • @rotglmao7 Trust me I am not confused. A hovercraft is not a futuristic machine that hovers feet above the ground like in star wars. It is a vehicle that "hovers" by forcing air out from under an inflatable skirt. They are also known as air cushion vehicles, and they have been around since the 50's. They do hover while standing still, although they tend to drift about. The vehicle in this vid is just a hovercraft that also has wings and can glide when it reaches high speeds.

  • @gunterdak No, since the thing in the video NEEDS speed to "hover" or "glide". Are you saying a paper plane with an air cushion taped to it is a hover craft? lol

  • @rotglmao7 OMFG forget the wings for a minute! This vehicle is a hybrid of two different types of vehicles. When it is moving at low speeds or standing still it is hovering. It looks like it is floating because hovercrafts hover just barely above the surface. You can clearly see the air skirt and the and the large blue fan forward of the cockpit. It is a hovercraft COMBINED with a ground effect aircraft. Please look some of this up. You are clearly quite confused :/

  • @gunterdak You're confused

  • @gunterdak let it go, he's obviously one of those people that has his own idea of what some thing is and therefor anything not exactly like it, is not it. i agree with you that this is a hovercraft, pause at 0:22 and you can clearly see water being shot out from underneath the cushion showing that air does come out from underneath the vehicle. it's hovering as long as air is flowing beneath the vehicle and lifting it off the ground, be it 1 inch or 1 mile.

  • @noyzizi Well he has stopped responding so I think maybe he actually learned what a hovercraft is! I think he just had never heard of them before! It seems hard for me to believe because I have been fascinated by them since I was a little kid, but I think some people actually have never heard of air cushion vehicles! The are a pretty obscure means of transit!. But after that frustrating back and forth, I think he may have learned something new. Time well spent, I suppose! :-)

  • WTF did i just look at

  • Dear Santa...

  • dear santa....uk what i want...

  • LOL, flying with life saver vest, yes, you are safe. just fly on the water.

  • more like an airplane :/ see if you think about it a hover craft should hover (stay still and float in the air) hence the word hover in hovercraft

  • dear santa

  • No link to a website or something? how can we consider buying one with this limited info?

  • These are NOT airplanes for one simple reason. They cannot transit to free flight. They MUST operate in "ground effect" and CANNOT attain free flight. Therefore NOT aircraft. Just sayin".....

  • Wow you could really get into trouble with that thing especially it it stalled at 30 feet or more.

  • How much for the flying one??

  • two areofoils and alot of speed, where have a herd of that? oh right a fucking plane...

  • @HyP3rxMiTchXx0 actually you want an ekranoplan...

  • Want. Now. How much? (And for all the fags who keep putting "Dear Santa..." on every video, fuck off.)

  • SKETCHEY...nuf said

  • HOW MUCH FOR THE LOVE OF BACON IM THROWING MY MONEY AT THE SCREEN BUT MY NOTHING IS HAPPENNING!

  • Dear Santa.......

  • Dear Santa.

  • is this legit ???

  • DEAR SANTA...

  • @VIDEOSmakingFILMS LOL... keeep dreaming :)

  • If that water caught the wing at the wrong angle, you would be royally fucked.

  • @racergsxr1 was thinking the same.

  • @racergsxr1 if that is the case, explain the success that the Ekranoplan had with Ground Effect? Not one crash, ever.

  • @racergsxr1 Because of the way the wings are angled (upwards, to create lift), if you would happen to hit the water with the wing at the wrong angle, you would allready be nose down anyway, and the wing hitting the water would be the least of your problems. The probablility of getting in trouble because of wing hitting water, at the speeds this operates, will not be an issue, because of the way the wings are angled.

  • @MrExperior He was making a joke...

  • @mickeyBnorth Not, he didn't.

  • I'm afraid to ask what the price is......

  • how mutch does one cost ,if i may ask

  • basically, its a rear prop plane that has short wings with a very high lift factor. even though the thing weighs a good bit, the engine is strong enough to keep speed for the wings to generate enough upward lift, but not to much. this craft is at almost a stall the entire flight

  • i bet this guy adopts 6 sixs a day just to beat them with is money bags

  • Is that as high they can fly or can they keep going up?

  • I would love to shoot one down with a singer.

  • im confused do you have to have a boat lisense or flyong lisense... or both?

  • Great. So it hovers ONLY above water and that's it. Pointless to me.

  • @thevikingwarrior11 ... quoted from the above description of this hover craft.. "Ground effect hovercraft operates over any terrain while cruising at an altitude of 4 to 12 feet"

  • @thevikingwarrior11 then why are you here?

  • hover craft?? i see basically a worse water plane but hey that just me for all i know this could be amazing

  • how much do they cost???

  • Is this a ground effect vehicle?

  • It's cgi.

  • @SICKJ0KER And you're an idiot.

  • amazing!

  • please don't call it universal unless it can hover over the universe.

  • how much does it cost?

  • dear santa...

  • Sickjoker, typical dumbass troll, ground effect hover vehicles have been around for over 50 years, go finish elementary school and stay off the internet.

  • Can it be powered by a Honda civic VTEC engine?

  • Yes. the Honda VTEC engine would work on this craft. Some adjustments would have to be made to the engine mount.

  • @UniversalHovercraft what about a Nissan GTR V6? im just kidding. it would be sweet though...

  • @UniversalHovercraft Holy shit you guys should make one, get a Type R. VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO

  • Let me take it for a spin.

  • @SICKJ0KER Your the dumbass considering you can buy these

  • @SICKJ0KER im pretty sure you just proved that you're a dumbass.

  • Not fake at all. You will see on our website that we have been delivering these to customers around the world for more than 12 years.

  • @UniversalHovercraft What is the minimum speed needed for lift off on these

  • Take off speed is about 50 mph. Typically we fly at 55 to 65 mph depending on payload and conditions.

  • @SICKJ0KER

You're the poor fake cocksucker here.

  • DEAR SANTA...

  • You dont want to go to France, it smells like B O

  • JAMES BOND!

  • The everyman's Ekranoplan! Great Work!

  • Great application for coastal / Beach patrolling, Coast Guards any idea!

  • Cool...Awesome

  • It's amazing how I start out looking at one thing, then totally end up looking up random videos like this.

    Only on youtube.

  • @Cb138inRs o pior é que eu nem me lembro do que eu comecei a olhar. - The worst part is that I do not remember what I started looking. -

  • @thatguru877 u will most certainly win

  • THUMBS UP IF UR GOING TO GET THIS IN THE FUTURE

  • And they cant make a flying car.....

  • Yeah...Its Called A Plane. haha

  • When you fail at making a plane, crash into water... and it fails to sink. I still like it though

  • Very neat kit would love to have one.

  • erhm.... "mooom".. Its christmas soon.. do you know what i want most for summer next year?

  • Bravo! Cool soundtrack.

  • how in the crap does a 4-cylinder engine get you that much ground clearance PLUS propulsion??

  • how much?

  • price tag???

  • one word for that ,, awesome

  • the 26 dislikes are homeless people who are jellouse

  • and they say money doesnt make you happy

  • @MajkeTiTvoje ....yeah pretty ironic, the peeps who say that are usually broke....LOL

  • @TheEdTeach totally

  • @TheEdTeach Most of the time yes. This is because most rich people never been broke, they have yet to know how the simplest things like waking up the next morning can be pleasantly great {Metaphorically speaking} You can't buy life from death.

  • @MajkeTiTvoje I've never seen anyone doing a 140 down the highway in a new Aston martin crying
