i hate this beach. i watch a man drown on that beach and i would never ever go there again and i will never take my 2 kids there

its not that deep, only when u get further in it becomes less shallow. The man shouldn't of pushed himself to the max, I could handle the swim towards the horizon but its quite boring to be so far out, u got to swim back to the shore again and u need to be a good swimmer!

been there done that. i had a house right across from the beach for beachweek 2007. chilin on the beach with redstripe and tossin the football theres nothin better. btw flannagans pub is the place to go the food is ballin. herb is rather expensive tho on the island but cant go wrong with tha sweet sweet sensi

i lived in bermuda for 2 years and yes,,,,its the people on the mopeds that are dangerous (or the tourists), along with the oil spills on the road and along with too many dark n stormy's and well lets face it,,,idiots are everywhere in any holiday destination,just gotta be carefull and enjoy.........p.s.///your right about the beach situation,,,,you will always find a place to be alone any time of the year

haha I don't usually post comments on youtube but I have to defend my island lol.. I live next to this Beach and trust me it gets PACKEDD !! with people... the reason the beach is empty is because it is probably late summer and the water is cold.... and to the guy below me lol.. Don there ain't no Mountains in Bermuda !!LMAO lol and yes riding a Bike can be dangerous ...if you not Bermudian ;-)

The issue with safety is the distractions, scenery and for most tourists the oppposite side of the road.I found old bullets and an old rum bottle in one of them buried in the sand.You just have to go into the water at John smith's and you will see parrot fish feasting on the coral.Beautiful unassuming place.

Note - Mopeds in bermuda are extremely safe. Its the people on the mopeds that are dangerous. Just take care out there and use your common sense.

if no scooter , you need climb hills and mountians to get to the beach.. Note the mopeds in bermuda are extremly dangerous. Bermuda is very hard to get around. Note, a 10 min ride in a taxi you can pay $15 -$20 20 mins 4o dollars

you just need to be a bit careful on them. scooters were originally the first vehicles on the island, so traffic is supposed to "give way" to motorbikes BEFORE cars! taxi'n can be expensive if youre trying to get from one point of the island to the next, but if you have people in your party a bit hesitant on flying thru Bermuda on mopeds, probably taxi is best bet.
