I was kind of surprised that neither Tamers Leomon or Adventure Leomon were on here. Demidevimon, Puppetmon and Arukenimon weren't that sad to me, but I can understand your opinion. My guess was that one of the Leomons, BlackWarGreymon or Wizardmon would be number one.

That was definately one of the saddest death scenes from Season 1 of Digimon. Wizardmon was awesome. When Wizardmon died, Gatomon SNAPPED! You DON'T piss off that cat! EVER! Unless of course you want Angewomon shooting a holy arrow through your chest.

The strength of a digimon isn't all in their level. In fact level's are mostly just a general rule that most digimon seem to follow. But several digimon come from weaker or stronger species.

I'd say Pumpkinmon is on the same level as Marineangemon in terms of bodily strength. There are also much stronger ultimates, such as pixiemon who managed to at least make a stand against the Dark Masters who were all mega levels at the time.

Wait, isn't Pumpkinmon is an Ultimate-level digimon? If that's so, how did Myotismon defeat it so frickin easy? Also, Arukenimon's death is actually pretty scary. Imagine, the last thing you see before death at the hands of Satan is the Maw of a large, 3 eyed dragon-thing that happens to be the devils shoulder.

She's a champion form, yet still gave about 5 of the champion level Digamon a lot of trouble when they fought her. Or how Piedmon defeated two mega level digamon like Wargreymon and Metalgarurumo on his own, but lost to MangaAngemon almost easily.

look i don't deny that theirs were sad, rather i personality didn't care much for the characters growing up as for the most part i cared more about the villains and anti-heroes cause they were generally more interesting

these are just ones i found most sad growing up with the shows because i liked the characters and was sad to see them go. while i understand that leomon and angemon's deaths were sad for other, the character really didn't leave and inpact on me.

see my crying for this show went to wizardmon,originally a digimon completely lone until his live is saved by another who then becomes his best friend, a friend that he would do anything for, even joining an evil faction with her. then he helps her find the human she was always meant to be with, then finally sacrificing his life for her because helping her was more important then his own life ,his dying word being he has no regrets cause she and him were friends

well here the thing with leomon, in adventure i felt more sad for ogremon, having just lost his rival and basic reason for living,in tamers i was more sad for Jeri then i was leomon (and beelzemon/impmon is my favorite character of that season so i was more invested in the inner struggle going on with him),and with angemon it just seemed to me like they just trough that in to get rid of devimon, and while wormmon;s was sorta the same, i found wormmons more sad

@Nightsofdream Leomon is the Hero! he's the knight of the goodness. I accept that the change of Ogremon is really cool, but it was only coz he doesn't had an opponent. Leomon died fighting, and that deserves al respect. On the other hand, I'll keep on Angemon's side, he died defending TK, and sved the situation, defeating the "terrible Devimon" (in those times)...and all the scene, and Brave Heart sounding...it was just perfect

i never said leomon wasn't a hero and i never said angemon wasn't either, with angemon what i said was that it felt like the only reason he died there was cause they wanted to get rid of devimon, like they were thinking we have a devil here, what can we use to get rid of him, oh an angel. otherwise when you think about it, a little animal with wings for ears, turning into a human with angel wings is the only one of the originals that doesn't make a lot of sense

yes, but also when they get reborn as eggs, they won't always have the same personailty, also not all get reborn, DarkLizamon, Wizardmon, and Dobermon all died in the human word, in which Darklizamons data was deleted, Dobermon's data was converted into the power to biomerge in the human world, meaning he was basiclly wiped from existince, and Wizardmon was shown that he couldn't return and was stuck in the human world as wandering data

well see thats the thing, this list is made up of death that, because i liked that characters seeing them die as a kid was sad to me because again i liked that characters and didnt want to see them die. in frigimon's cause the character was killed before events and was basically just a plotpoint to drive the rest of the story, so their was much room to grow attached to a character who dead aready (and i liked adventures frigimon better)

one yes, Doberman was sent by the sovereigns to give that data, but the sovereigns didnt make him, they just gave him the data to deliver and in order to do so, Dobermon had to sacrifice his physical form, thus technically since his was and intelligent entity that no longer can interact, talk to people or anything else, he is but all terms dead

Also I feel really sorry for Puppetmon, He was my favorite villian ever, and in the original language, he never reallizes that what he missed was friends. I agre with almost all the one you chosed from 8 to 1 except arukenimon (she was mean)

I'm surprised that you didn't include Leomon's death in Digimon Tamers. Even though it's a recurring theme in the franchise, Digimon Tamers put a tragic twist on it that helped advance the remainder of the season.

Leomon i never really liked in any version. his tamers death to me was just more just showing Beelzemon's complete awesomeness. and his adventure death i found more tragic for Ogremon because he lost his rival and he core reason for living
