  • What if they find Xenu? Would we have to apologize to Tom Cruise for his batshiattery?

  • FFS we can go in Space, we went on moon, seriously, with all this technology why the hell this video is 240p ?

  • it is good if countries want to be better than others because they always try to think of better things and this is also for our goods (faster computers)

  • We are not suppose to build spacestation in space. This is forbidden. Its in Holy Bible.

You mankind have been warned. Prepare for chastisement.

  • @TheIxtlan fail christian extremist is fail

  • That's an incredible achievement.

  • ùngláublich_lËùtè_sùcht_mÃl_ñãch:_olikohle_ÀÙf_gÒOglÉ_vÖll_geÍl

  • Imagine if human race stopped wasting money on religions and instead started to head for space for real.

We should be up there allready, properly exploring the space. Religions are holding us back, we have to end superstition before it ends us.

  • @dmravi13 well said!

  • What's it for anyway... All that money wasted

  • It is astounding--really--reading these posts. Are you folks just trolling or are these your firmly held beliefs? Don't you feel that some measure of international cooperation for peaceful activities involving the psychological, social and physical sciences--not to mention mankind's inherent drive to explore and satisfy intellectual curiosity--is a justified pursuit in and of itself?

  • Don't worry about whose country is better cause all it takes is the mother ship to take it all away.

  • @Romeo. USA? Did you watch the video? There will always be people starving in the world. Science is the only way to help these people. Science does not dev in a vacuum but only with other appli.

  • @ frenchExpat1 watch this Movie: Private's "Uranus Experiment" ;)

  • @rockstargamesyay why do you think that your country is so great? Americans aren't as fat as you over there. In fact without us you'd be singing all hail hitler right now.

  • How will they get stuff up there when the shuttles are taken out of service?

  • @praxis44241 in the very vehicles Rob Navies described. Soyuz,ATV,Progress,HTV,Orion, and Space X Dragon.

  • @praxis44241

ISS will be pretty much complete by then. There will not be a need for the Shuttle. As geomodelrailroder pointed out, there are many other vehicles that can service ISS.

  • MIR was able to record multiple UFO activity while in Space!!

  • looks like a giant expensive piece of crap

  • @zerosix1786 better spending it on that crap then military crap.

  • @zerosix1786 but it's... COOOOOOL!

  • ISS FTW

  • billions of dollars and all we get is a cartoon thats NASA you wont be missed.

  • @datzfast Yeah! fuck NASA. never did anything except pioneer modern day technology. Where do you think the computer came from that you used to type that ridicules comment?

  • Comment removed

  • @feaserFILM Factoid, as a saftey rule NASA never flew any technology that didnt have a ten year earth track record. NASA gave mankind nothing. it was a plubicity stunt. False justification for its existance. your just gonna look like an ass trying to say other wise. we live in the computer age , proof is a keystroke away.

  • @feaserFILM hey retard, google world war two, computers, codes. NASA wasn't even a wet dream and man used a computer every day, what a fucking looser you are.

  • help !!! me please i hav this paper due on tuesday about mir ................ umm why was mir taken down from space !! and why was it in space ..........

  • i'm an idiot, I'll accept that, but my question is, if there was already a space station half as big as the iss, and we made the sky lab really easily(which housed like 6) why didn't we just build more skylabs and mir space stations, ? wouldn't it have been way cheaper????

  • @assman12354 mir was too old for reusing it for another couple years

a lot of repairs would have to be made and it would cost too much

skylab was nice idea but its also had its own problems.

  • Comment removed

  • And your answers:

    (1) Because it is interesting

    (2) Same as 1, ( and that way we can learn about space, DUR)

    (3) In case something happens to earth, and you can brag about living in space

    (4) You meet people from other countries (in SPACE!)

  • Dear All,

I have some question about psychology:

    (1) Why do we want to travel to space?

    (2) What motivate us to design and to build the International Space Station (ISS)?

    (3) Why do want to live in space?

    (4) What are the social values represented by International Space Satation (ISS)?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • @applesweeter As for russians it completly linked to mentality: on Earth russians have to live in strict, and rather cruel conditions, though that conditions were made by themselves. Freedom and independency that can be achieved by escaping from Earth, even in distant future, motivates subconsciously russians to build and launch new spacecrafts for more then an half of century.

  • @jtcnjtc

    Do you live in Russia?

  • @applesweeter

    Yep

  • I'm quite surprised that Node 3 is NOT installed in the place as shown in this video.

  • I want to have sex up there...

  • I hope I get to go to the moon.

  • i want to go up

  • wow u people are retarded fucks, u keep arguing about who's country is better, you probably cant even spell ur own fucking name, so shut the fuck up and watch the motherfucking video, i dont give an unclefuck if youtube is american or the internet is french, just stop arguing like little motherfucking shit babies

  • @dmravi13 THANK YOU!!! finnaly someone says something! XD

  • my pleasure :)

  • rofl "motherfucking shit babies"

  • @dmravi13 yeah.. unclefucking shit babies who cant spell their own names.

  • @dmravi13 take a chill pill

  • @dmravi13 Well put :D

  • @dmravi13 American: AI IZ AMERICAN, I LUV MEH COUNTREH, MEH COUNTREH IZ TEH BEST IN SPAICE AND SPELLING!

Russian: AI IZ RUSSIAN, I LUV MEH COUNTREH, MEH COUNTREH IZ TEH BEST IN SPAICE AND SPELLING!

    Something like that? :/

(I'm not from america or russia)

  • On behalf of the human race (or at least one member of it), thanks tvspace for taking the time to share information with people that don't understand the grandeur and scope of the information you are sharing here.

  • tell russia to come to space to start world war 3.

  • @goldenstarshipX you go tell them dumbass thinking your fatass country is so good why not come to europe and we'll show you what world war 3 will be like

  • what about the starving people on earth. LANCIONE

  • The starving people on earth are only going to get more and more competition in the very near future, we need to find other places to live... as well as find a way to feed people, this station is a first step in that direction all be it a slow one. Other wise a mass depopulation either quickly or slowly is inevitable. Earth can only sustain so many people, go Google earths population over the last 100 years alone.

  • cant wait till we put a laser up there to kill russia

  • tell NASA to do that.

  • NASA would be freaked out.

  • @Mantaraykid .....you wrote : " cant wait till we put a lasaer up there to kill russia".........

my answer: - and if Russians do the same at their segment there? - you are depraved person. This station is not American - it is INTERNATIONALLY owned - it is Russian the same as American and European.

  • So exactly what is this 90 billion dollar house for 13 people supposed to do for us?

  • What is it supposed to do for us?

Nothing everyone knows it is a play toy for the rich just so some smug rich person can go up there because of the funding from daddy only to carry out test to see if Ant's still shit in zero gravity.

  • Except for the cancer research and a variety of other medical research, medicines that best be made under micro graviity, the research for exotic materials that need to be made in micro gravity, remote construction and medical research, fluid dynamics of liquids and gases for pollution research, seperation of chemicals to make more pure for industry and drugs, just to name a small fraction.

  • "Think know the International Space Station?"

    HUH??!

  • I think its supposed to say "think you know the international space station?"

  • The ISS is the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

  • I think, if the govenrment had less power, much more less power over its people; people could expand their ideas and knowledge of innovation for a greater and more prosperous. Why do you think the US became the mighty country it is now? because we followed that theology as an independant nation long ago. We need another revolution. La resistance. The Government always fucks everything up. Now the world hates us because of you. We need to think more like Astronauts and prosper.

  • you are aware that NASA is paid for wholly in US Taxes, a conservative like you should HATE the space program as it eats up money

  • grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

  • yeah man, you got it right! things are screwed up these days.

  • much more less. LMFAO

  • America is the blue prints for everything motha fucka. If we fail the rest of the world is going to fell it. All major companys and chip developers are american. You Tube is american. Americans invented the internet. The movies you watch are American. So dont come around saying that shit. Fuckin scrub.

  • Actually the Internet originated from the French. Then was enhanced by the the British and America.

But still the space station is the pinnacle of Space technology, too think the nodes that have to be conncted have to be in perfect harmony with something that is going 11,000 miles per hour and connect succesfully. That right there is genius.

  • spoken like a true american. Nuff said.

  • we could but we are $56 trillion in debt

  • You wonder why when you vote for idiots as presidents not you personally im on about it in a prespective point of view.

  • Is the station autonomous and self sufficient?

If the earth gets hit by a comet and the life is extinct, how long can the people on the space station survive?

  • No, they need water and food brought up to them periodically. Not to mention the bones of the astronauts deteriorate in zero gravity so they have to be changed out too.

  • This is at least the third version that I've seen of the finished station. They keep changing the design.

  • Choken1:

The ISS was meant to evolve, change & grow, just like a city in space. I wonder what its lifespan is ?

  • It might be pretty long. Especially if they can attach it to a space elevator in the future.

The station might even outlast all of it's original components. As new technology becomes available, the old modules could be replaced, decades from now, in order to expand the size of the base. However if it's cheaper to build a new station from scratch and dump the ISS into the atmosphere like they did with MIR then they'll probably do that instead.

  • Choken1:

Attaching it to a space elevator would be great.

If the ISS were dumped into our atmosphere like the MIr or Skylab, that could cause a LOT of damage if it crashed near a populated area.

Bu, I've got a feeling that won't happen any time soon. Is NASA going to use the ESA or Russian craft after the STS is decommissioned / before Project Orion ?

  • Naturally if they'd dump the station into our atmosphere like they did with MIR, they would plot out a safe course for it to fall. But they haven't even finished building the thing so it's probably going to be a really long time before they start pondering such thoughts.

  • Launching spacecraft into the Solar System isn't space exploration. Interstellar warping would be considering exploration. If we didn't know about any of the planets and Spacecraft were helping us go there, THAT would be "exploration". On a side note, this video is cool, and it's a shame we waste billions killing ourselves when we could "waste" billions solving world problems and "exploring" space.

  • you know, space war,is WORSER then earth wars.

  • worser?? hehe

  • We really should have a presence on the moon by now

  • @crazyjedimindtrick NASA will "start" building a moonbase by 2024

  • @crazyjedimindtrick

Lol im quite sure we already do and possibly mars to. They just don't want to tell the public cause there NWO ELITES

  • Samos: Don't despair yet. We move far faster than fiction. Here among the internets you can find 'The Day of an American Journalist in 2889' by Jules Verne. It was published in 1889--three years before Tesla demonstrated the strange and useless phenomenon of radio. At the time, critics said his story was too absurd. But you find that he was off by 900 years, because you find that his world is almost exactly like ours--even down to the webcam.

  • Its amazing what man has accomplished.. maybe 200 years from now this will be just like Star Trek..too bad I won't get to see.

  • Who knows maybe in a couple of years human life might be extended indefinitely

  • they hid the nuclear weapons, typical.

  • imagine what we could have built with the money wasted blasting iraq and afganistan back to the stone age. :(

  • the view must be awesome:

    "No words...they...should ...have sent....a poet..."

  • "Contact" - Jodie Foster :)

  • What is the name of the song?

  • hmm.. it's a lot better if all the governments around the world expend their funds on this bizarre silly looking gigantic pipe thingy n make lots of clone of it.. lol :p

..rather than expend it on military equipments n other mass weapons of death... *sigh* ///-

  • i agree rather than killing ourselves we should be learning more about our race and the universe we live in.... there are so many questions to be answered out there but we're too busy dropping bombs and launching missles to care...

  • ^ ^ thanx.. i hope that "day" will truly come when we can really get along and put all the meaningless "quarrels" behind us so we could answer all this "unanswered" questions together...

  • I AGREE.

  • On cable or dish tv there is a nasa type channel

  • I think there should be a channel which views this 24/7

  • ummm... isn't there the NASA channel???

  • Most of the stuff is confidential, so they can't show you everything.

  • This is phenomenal! Why does it not get more news coverage??? It would seem a good way to remove some of the burdens caused by our screwed up leaders in today's wild and woolly world. We ought to be focusing on tomorrow's possibilities more. I love this. It defines "thinking outside the box...the world.

  • Aliens probably laugh at this in comparison to ther spacecraft. Compare a black guy laughing at an asian guy's penis.

  • And compare an Asian guy laughing at a black guy's brain.

  • like omg wtf u cant say dat on teh internets loool

  • Yes we have problems to solve here on earth but i always love too see the inventions that humans can create and how far we have come in terms of technology and being able to discover new things and the international space station is quite an achievment. BUT NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS WOULD I GO AND MAKE TEMPOARY RESEVATIONS ON A FLOATING PIECE OF ALUMINUM IN OUTER SPACE. IT WILL END UP BEING ANOTHER EPISODE OF "EVENT HORIZON" OR "SUNSHINE"

  • i wish governments didnt play such a big role in peoples lives these days.. Maybe we would have less wars, more peace and more space exploration.. i mean, Israel and Palestine the people there are defined by their warring governments.. its just a fake border anyway

  • I think we could solve a lot of problems here on earth if we started thinking like astronauts instead of macho warrior nutcases.

  • Hopefully some sort of sentient non-hostile aliens will come and teach us better technology than this like am giant space ship maby someday we will be able to travel out of the solar system.

  • Why are we wasting so much moneyo n going to space when we could be fixing our problems on earth.

    stupid humans

  • I disagree, I think space and exploration is vitally important for humans and we need to keep progressing to try to find signs of life on another planet.

  • how is that going to help us?

ok..so there's water on mars. YAY! now what?

  • International Peace, this is the first step to cooperation. A lot of the problems in the world deal with envy and hate. Sharing something with everyone makes everyone on the same page, kinda.

  • All the money that goes to space exploration is not a waste. We gain so many benefits from our nation's space program that you are clueless to. Go ahead and take a moment and Google benefits of space exploration. As AcePilot101 said above, I think if the entire world was more informed about the space program like it was back in the 60's, people would realize that it is possible to live and work together as a whole.

  • It's the media that fails us and keeps us disconnected from the things that do matter. Space does matter and we must keep on exploring and discovering.

  • Strange that they choose to put the Soyuz emergency rescue capsule just beside the Zarya module, which stores rocket engine propellant ! well, i'm sure those guys know what they are doing ;)

  • this is great both russia and america, who used to be enemies are now sharing one space station

  • hahah its the dave chappelle 'white guy' voice

  • it does not look safe

  • It isn't. But it's incredibly rewarding. Read G.H.Stein's the Third Industrial Revolution. Failure to regard the potential for novel materials manufacture in zero G(particularly to aid in making cheaper launch systems(think space elevator)). The alternative is life as mud suckers till the sun goes nova.

  • space comes with its risks but tis pretty safe

  • The mission to the moon was incredibly unsafe - especially since it was a race so as soon as it was ready it was launched whether it was fully safe or not. But unfortunatley risks have to be taken in order for us to move forward in our understanding of space and the universe :)

  • I wanna live there

  • how long do scientists have to stay up there in Zero-G before they touch ground again?

  • 180 day missions normaly, they can be longer or shorter though

  • I can't believe it. Here we have one of the greatest projects in the history of mankind. A joint operation that even links the two 'old enemies' USA and Russia, a testimony of what we as a species can accomplish.

  • Scientists of many countries working together in the quest of knowledge. And still, some people say 'I don't need science, just wastes MY money'. Carl Sagan would turn over in his grave if he'd hear this. Aren't you even a tiny bit curious about what the universe is made of and what our origins are? Oh wait, right. Of course, god created the earth hundreds and hundreds of years ago...But sorry, there are people on this planet, having more than 20 brain cells.

  • And while you might not see profit in science, it has done so much for you. Just the Computer and Internet, you're sing right now for example. Besides, science projects bring the nations and people of this planet together, peacefully. So don't tell me it's a waste of money. I am proud of what we have accomplished in the past few years and I have the gighest hopes for the years to come. A great man once said something about the 'human endeavour', perhaps you should read his books...

  • Amazing what humanity can accomplish when not busy shooting each other.

  • this is TERRIBLY sad , but VERY true at the same time, "thumbs up" for you sir.

  • lol second

  • all i see is millions if not billions of American tax payer money made into a orbiting metal toy.

  • correcting you, most components are not even American.....

  • correcting you, most components are not even American.....

and the US, could beat the shit out of your country. If X-Day happened the UK and US would have totally ravaged and possibly annilated Japan. If we followed Gen. MacArthur, we could have defeated China and Russia.

  • Your credibility went out the door when you said "US could beat the shit out of your country"

first of all i am a tax paying american. and the fact that it is made by different nations does not make an excuse for wasting our money just because others are too. it serves no purpose in getting to other planets and is only a orbiting "research lab".

SECONDLY, why do you brag about the US having power to "beat the shit" out of another country?? do we not have enough wars?

  • Yea blame us Americans. Its our fault right LOL

Listen to yourself. And what country are you from? Dont blame the People. Blame the Dictator bush that is Robbing Us Blind. to make him and his friends rich.

  • But what the hell is it for. Ask yourself. How many billion dollar flights are we willing to pay for to see if grade school kids plants will grow upsidedown. In the first place. This is another tin can. Remember in 2001 a space odesey, using free centrifical force to produce gravity. If the sp st was something appreciated the news would tell us when it's coming overhead. Just one more waste of taxpayer money.

  • its a jumpstart to leaving this shit hole of a planet the americans destroyed

  • How typical of the rest of the world... blame America for everything. It's ok though, we are tough enough to handle the weight of the rest of the world... we are like Batman in the new Dark Knight movie, you need someone to hate, while we protect the world from another WWII. Like that analogy (I'm assuming you saw the movie)? If it wasn't for the US, nearly every small country would be invaded... whether you like it or not, we protect 62% of the world's small countries from bigger powers.

  • "we are like Batman in the new Dark Knight movie, you need someone to hate, while we protect the world from another WWII."

What the hell are you on? We're currently causing a lot of the world's problems right now. The War in Iraq isn't helping anyone and neither is our exploitation of cheap labor abroad.

To the rest of the world I apologize for ignoramuses like this guy. Many Americans aren't like this person.

  • A waste of tax payer's money are things like blagoeyavich's airline tickets, war in the middle east, beurocratic government offices, if we would cut all those things 20 years ago then we would see leaps, instead of just building a station right now we'd be testing mars or building lunar stations.

  • blah....but does it blend?

  • interesting

  • now if the NASA SS and the ISS, would join as one, then I probably would move there, if the time was right

  • I think there needs to be a new international treaty now!! One that says no country will pursue national advances in space. All space advances need to be international. Therefore there needs to be an international space agency which any country can join and contribute to.

Otherwise we'll see weapons going into space and a new age of warfare!

thing about space is there are no boundaries you can fly over another country and its not classed as their space!

  • Now that it's mostly assembled and out in space where there is no gravity or aerodynamic drag, why couldn't they zip-tie some rocket motors to it and drive it around?

    Makes sense to me...

I'll bet that someday some crazy cosmonaut will lock everybody in one of the service modules, steal the keys to a docked Soyuz and take off with the whole thing. You wait and see. He'll probably sell it to Art Bell for 5,000 rubles.

  • haha thats funny

  • I hear that the Mars orbiter is a defense satellite. It picks up classified data from Spirit and Opportunity, such as location of Marcians and also aerial shots of their factories and military installations and transmits it directly to Pentagon. One day this technology will be used to make cellular calls anywhere in the Solar System. No, I am not being sarcastic.

  • I think you should see your doctor

  • fire the "laser"....

  • Blah... I think the Death Star is cooler..

  • Paranoia sets in.....

  • They forgot to mention the giant laser cannon

  • All lies. It there to mold metals that can't form on earth.

  • Metal...alloys that can't be formed on Earth? Or do you mean forming metal structures that can't be constructed on Earth?

  • No I mean artificial elements

  • OH you're talking about the super heavy nuclei artificial metal elements, gotcha.

  • yes. Are you being sarcastic?

There are 140 elements instead of 109.

The others can't be made stable on earth.

  • No...I'm not being sarcastic.

I didn't think those elements were stable anywhere, though, ESPECIALLY Earth.

  • Well since were on the subject.

There is an element called H3 (Helium 3) that is being mined on the moon for energy purposes.

  • HUH?? Who's on the moon mining HE-3? It was found there in larger quantities than on Earth, but I thought it was just potential and people throwing around theories.

  • It's been going in for about 46 years I think.

The setup there and on mars is pretty elaborate.

Kinda slick how they hide stuff.

Plus mars has some activity beyond imagination.

Don't forget about the out of this world super advanced cities of underground.

  • **Plus mars has some activity beyond imagination.**

Such as? Are you in "the know"?

I'm not trying to be funny here, I really would like to know.

  • Sounds like you have read Richard Hoagland and John Lear's stuff.

  • WTF? I thought Node 3 will be European :P

  • How long is it supose to last ?

  • in year 1999 it says it will be done on 2004... but lately there are more pieces still being assumbled today... over 10 are made in US not to mention some other nations
