Aft u find the tskmanager, and click 'run',just key in 'explorer.exe' (without the - ' -s in it) and you will have your desktop! Mine doesn't disappear. Not sure about yours. Saves loads of time

Worked 100% on Server 2003 Enterprise.  Here was my situation: I was working with Windows Server 2003 Enterprise for a work project and had set all of my network adapters to have static addresses. Well when you can't touch a project and your license expires, assuming you have all your adapters configured in a static configuration, you can't activate Windows even if you select "Automatically Detect Settings". This allowed me to bypass Windows activation and reconfigure my network adapters

That's fun, but pointless seeing how you could just get Linux "Linux ubuntu with compiz fusion" for free, and launch windows form linux using a virtual machine + TinyXP or Tiny7... :)

I did mention I got Kubuntu as default OS, in fact all my 3 computers running Linux & trying to isntall the Win7 RC now within Linux using Virtual box.

As for running XP in a virtual machine, you should know that you should have a license for that separately.

It is illegal to run it there without a license ;)

Just Goto Taskmanager Then Goto File --> New Task Then Type --> Explorer.exe Which Stops Windows From Locking You Out Of Explorer.exe!

Just use a prog called Anti-WPA it will get rid of the whole activation process. And you can use your windows again.

When I bought my computer, it came with a free Microsoft Office one month trial.

I activated Windows once I got the computer on the internet, and after 30 days the Office trial ended and Windows said it wasn't activated.

Bad news was, my legal copy of Windows was stolen, so I reformatted and used a pirated copy. I haven't paid for Windows since, screw them.

hey, it doesnt crash for me. i managed to get the stuff by running explorer.exe by using IE to go to WINDOWS/blah blah blah......so yay. but i still have tons of problems. like whenever i try to run something it make me go to the run as... thing where i have to browse to a file and run it with that. and the i have to do that with explorer so it kinda sux =[ but im gonna try something to get passed the activation completely, but i needed to get my desktop to do. thanks!!!!
