VR has some good songs, but - unlike most STP songs - most Velvet Revolver songs do not seem to stand the test of time. "Last Fight" is VR's last gasp. Song-wise, Stone Temple Pilots' oldest albums sound fresher and cooler today than any of VR's formulaic raunch.

Great band that made great music, its very sad to know its over, I heard weiland w/stp on Jimmy Kimmel tonight, and he really fucked up Vaseline and trippin on a hole in a paper heart, he wasnt great live in VR but it was at the very least good enough, VR is relevant to the time now, STP isnt-nor is GNR. For me this is like waiting for VR's Brian Johnson to show up and create their Back In Black, its worth it.
