Their first observation of America was the monorail ride. A smooth curve, rental car trucks , then into the death star trenehc3es and tunnels. Back up, over the bridges erected over concrete arteries, fluxed with foreign models of kinetic boxes.
Reminds me of the DFW trains in Dallas, only with more people. Sounds much more quiet than Sydney trains. We have the world record for the noisiest trains in the world. They rattle, bang, and usually get there. Double story, they are probably heavy. Luv the tunnels, looks like they are newish and sufficiently NY with artificial rats? Just to keep it real? Just kidding. Blessings +++ The Saint +++
ive been on the monrail alot of times when i went to the airport. I think its fun...wats anoying is ding dong ding dong please stand by the doors are closing please hang on....when we know wat to do...OMG
nice... JFK is huge... the airport in my city (bangalore, india), i can get from one end to the other within 5 mins by walk!!! lol!!! but our new 1 will b ready by april 2008!!!
Um, in order for you to have ridden a monorail at JFK airport, they would have had to install one. You, my friend, were riding an Airtrain, and that has 2 rails. (3 if you count the electric rail.) It works just like a subway train. In fact it can ride on subway tracks
Actually, it has a 3rd rail that provides electricity. In order for it to be self powered, it would have to have solar panels or an engine on board. If you mean it has no driver, then yes, it is run by a computer in Jamacia, NY.
Did you have to transfer to another Airtrain to go towards the Howard Beach Station?

No, I it actually leaves the airport but it doesn't go to NYC. 1 of the loops in only terminals while the other goes outside the airport.
I am going to be on that train on April 9th! Punta Cana Here I Come!

@americonium No it cannot ride on the Subway tracks. It uses a linear induction motor.

@americonium That's right - you see, mono means 1, and rail means rail (Simpsons reference there ;)
