  • Love those blonde moments

  • He does have a nice signature. Arlene is too funy! lol!

  • Beautiful signature

  • dorothy gets beat up as someone who hogs the screen and plays for herself not as a member of a team. i think this is unfair i notice at the three minute mark after bennett got a no answer she wrote a note to bennett most likely sharing a idea. being a good teammate

  • Dorothy the feminist! Love it!

  • Arlene, too: "We girls will wear them one day, won't we?" :-)

  • 1: 46 Love John's laugh.

  • Not back then though!

  • remember this was in the 50s - 20 years before women were considered for this occupation.

  • Hey, I'm from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio too!

  • 10 yers later his product would be of great use on the moon

  • So many funny points in this clip. Thanks so much for posting this!

  • Arlene already has it at 4:06, I think, but she patiently waits for her next turn to guess.

  • Could Arlene be more cute!!!

  • "But us girls are gonna wear them some day, aren't we Mr. Colly?" Go Arlene ;P Haha and so cute when she's trying to get the word :D

  • "A suit-helmet!" ;)

& Indeed, that remark rocks :D

Dorothy and her smart 'is it something other than...'-questioning! (:

Both she and Arlene look super glamorous by the way!!

  • MARTIN: Is it anything that would improve my physical appearance? Which sadly needs it..

    ARLENE: Aww, Martin, no!

Arlene at her most gorgeous. Oh, what a glamorous woman!

Thank you for sharing this WML segment!

  • Truly.

  • What's My Line at its best -- a spot not only amusing but educational and a contestant with real prestige. Gil Fates said that WML had relationships with a number of military public relations officers, and I bet one of them brought this contestant to his grateful attention.

6:05 the NASA jargon was so new in 1959 that Arlene didn't know the pronunciation. Or maybe her native Massachusetts accent came on strong that night.

  • "The word that suits" - gotta love John Daly

  • Funny that he has to repeat it twice before Arlene twigs to it. I can't remember another game in which Daly nudged the panel over the finish line.
