Like many Maritimers, Cape Bret'ners know who they are. Many other Canadians do not know who they themselves are. If only people in BC had such spirit and unity. But BC is still a frontier and will be for another 100 years to catch up with NS.

A century from now, however, Cape Breton and the rest of the east coast will still be lightyears ahead of us.

Aselin is one of my favourite singers and I love Nova Scotia about as much as she does! Her emotion tells you that she is proud of where she comes from and I don't blame her. It's wonderful there! It's something to be proud of.
