Listened to this album sooo many times, many times in a row. Masterpiece, and part of that was because of all the samples they used. Hip hop wasn't sampling Hall and Oates and the Turtles and kid's records, but they made their own version. De La Soul ruined me for a lot of the cookie cutter pop hip hop that's out there now.
