  • Saturn had some awesome games, it`s really a shame it didn`t go any further than it did.

  • @josephskater1994. it is not illegal to use another companys name aslong as you are using factual information. for example, when pepsi attacks coke they say and use all the products but use factual info.

  • haha, sweetness

  • Who's calling the Playstation a plaything?!

  • @1soniccool sega didnt wanna get sued for saying playstation's trademark name because they were talking shit so sony would have sued sega as fast as possible........saturn better than psx

  • It makes me smile that Buckethead loves Sega Dreamcast and HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2... :D :D :D My childhood and present just merged to make such an awesome thing

    SEGA AND BUCKETHEAD FTW

  • i heard this the other day and instantly knew it was buckethead, his tapping is unmistakable.

  • Buckethead...fucking ridiculous...i dont mind or care if he is the worlds best guitar player...fact is he looks like a fucking retard.

  • @Cagliari1234 he's not like you. he may look like, but he's not.

  • Well sony grew up and trampled over the dreamcast like cardboard.

  • LOL well sony has PS3 now so suck it

  • Why is he called Buckethead???

  • @dogeymon83 Isn't it obvious with the kfc bucket on his head

  • Wow great find.

Here's the NiGHTS commercial mentioned below:

    watch?v=DmfXdwBe1jE

Any Buckethead experts got an opinion on these ones?

    watch?v=bsbt0V4dSuc

    watch?v=cP3ciD4Efr0

  • creeps did this

  • Sega Saturn was awesome! And Buckethead is my hero! :D

  • I think Brain may be the one drumming to this.

  • i got a psx sorry sega i got a mega drive

  • Segata Sanshiro will punish Sega USA for terrible advertising.

  • YaaaAAAAAhhHHhhh SEGA!

  • if you go to wikipedia it says that it is him. i know wikipedia is wrong usually but the description of the commercial and the other shit is dead on

  • you already got your answer but here from wikipedia: 'Also in 1996 several Sega Saturn television ads featuring a screaming mask-like face pressing through the blue orb of the Saturn logo was released, with music by Buckethead.'

    :P :D

  • The 2 greatest things ever: Buckethead + Video Games = Awesome to the infinity power. If I saw that commercial back then I would have robbed my moms purse and bought a sega saturn.

  • lol Sega may have had the experience, but they were piss poor in the hardware market, all going downhill from Genesis, slight redemption with the Dreamcast, but overall their exit from hardware proved they totally failed, with a piss poor business model. I really have'nt seen any true great quality Sega titles since Dreamcasts death, mostly cash-ins of previous titles/spin offs, sub par Sonic games, although Unleashed werent bad.

  • The voice in this commercial is scaring the FUCK out of me! D:

  • Via can four finger tap, as well as others!!!

  • Why did they go on about 3 processors? Their processor was cocked at 28-ish mhz yet the PS2's was at 299 mhz, yes I know more processors is generally better but not when the difference is 10x more!

  • @PkerWhomerang They were reffering to the PS1's processor which is clocked at around 33mhz.

  • @dstarks80 oh my bad...

  • WOAH!

  • and now sega can suck sony's cock!!!!!!!!

  • Lol sega...saturn...

    Sega failed at making consoles.

  • Sega always played dirty when it comes to their ads. That kinda' pissed me off.

  • @n00berania That was Sega USA, case in point. Sega's Japan HQ took a different approach but in a funny way, with the Saturn's mascot, Segata Sanshiro, the Saturn was more popular in Japan than the US and Europe.

  • @KyubiStewie I know, i almost have the balls to say i would have bought INSTEAD of a Playstation,

  • @KyubiStewie For Segata Sanshiro

  • Oh God, another YouTube change.

  • Not to be a bastard, but it's actually 6-8 finger tapping. Again, I mean this in the least-bastardlike way.

  • wierd commercial...

  • Not to mention that the 'AHHHHH! SEGA!" face, is based on Buckethead's emotionless mask.

  • I don't know why you put this video up. It's on his wikipedia profile.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah sega put out a bunch of ads slamming the playstation. at the time sega was failing for a number of reasons, mainly because they made poor marketing choices and pissed off alot of 3rd party gaming companies in north america, but also because the console was so hard to program for. the saturn was very successful on Japan, though

  • @cheaptrades It was popular in Japan for a reason. Two words: Segata Sanshiro

  • yeah but the sega dreamcast was way better than ps2 but its dumb cos the ps2 had dvd player and thats how sega failed :/

  • This is definitely Buckethead. I was a Sega of America employee during this time, and actually sat in on a viewing of a similar tv ad with the marketing folks (a NiGHTS ad), that featured a more bass-heavy sound & the same screaming mask-face in the logo, although it had the pointed jester-type cap the NiGHTS characters wore. Someone at the meeting specifically stated that Buckethead did the sound.

  • @spellhit When did you leave SOA? They started to become a poorly run division once Bernie Stolar joined SEGA.

  • almost makes the saturn good lol but bucket owns he did music for lots of stuff people dont know about

  • damn bucket u are old n rightous

  • I can confirm that this is indeed Buckethead. In the release sheets given only to record stores to advertise and promote Buckethead's 4th ablum Colma, it states that: "you heard his work in such movies as Mortal Kombat and Last Action Hero, not to mention Sega video game commercials." This is the only mention of this I have ever seen, but it is confirmation.

  • Thank you so much! I really appreciate you helping me get to the bottom of that. I'm so happy that two of my favorite things, Buckethead and Sega Saturn, are now related.

  • @Alterego314 "Also in 1996 several Sega Saturn television ads featuring a screaming mask-like face pressing through the blue orb of the Saturn logo was released, with music by Buckethead."

    took it from wiki

  • roflol

  • wait a sec: bucket head was out since the sega saturn was new?

  • Buckethead has been active since the late 80's.

  • oh yeah right.lolz

  • Figure 5 for the win!

  • actually gentaro can do 4 finger sorry to burst your theory

  • for me nintendo kick the balls of sega back then, and buckethead rocks

  • he also did last action hero when schwartz is going up to the building

  • That is him!! all musicians do work like this. his playing was perfect for the commercial!

  • kool

  • dude totally Buckethead!!!

  • er...yeahh.. exactly

    No, its definitaly not soothsayer

  • thats for sure buckets finger nubs!sweet find

  • thats actually 7/8 finger tapping, not 4 lol. you count the right hand aswell :)

  • yeah it is him. Look it up on wiki. it says he has done a shitload of bg music for commercials in Japan. He also released The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock and other cds in Japan before he released them here in the US.

  • That HAS to be him. No one else I know of sounds like that, and that's definitely something he would do

  • at 0:09 to 0:15 you can hear a bit of a song which name's escaping from me now

  • I know right? This seems to be a great little Buckethead side project that was forgotten. I happen to be a Saturn fan and I love to watch old Saturn commercials. Then I stumbled across this!

  • that's him!!!!!!! how the fuck did u find this???

  • its playstation not playtion

  • yeah it is buckethead, i done some research myself but never found out the song name.

  • yep, that's bucket.

  • sounds pretty much like him

  • you win the award for the most obscure thing ever posted on YouTube. Congratulations.

  • it sound much like his odd tapping technique

  • crazy sounds like his nubbing forsure
