  • will someone please invent a time machine!lol

  • I was born in 93 and I love the 80's

  • My name is John, I once had a fight with my girl Mary Jo. We didn't speak for months and it got to the point where I thought it was all over for sure. One mid afternoon I ask the Lord to give me a sign if she still loves me for I had enough of the pain and confusion. After shedding a tear or two, I turned on the radio and it was playing "missing you". I thought for a second, Is this the sign? Just as I came to my senses heard the DJ say "...John Waite". I got you message my Lord, loud and clear.

  • I don't know why, but I always got John Waite and Howard Jones mixed up. I still do.

  • used to think about this song when i was stationed in germany about my wife

  • The 80'zz were great, the music was brilliant, you didn't get hung for drink/driving,and the police didn't have helicopters for speeders......... p.s.this song is brilliant.........

  • bello bello bello cancion

  • Great song... Especially remember driving home in 1994 from a weekend ski trip at Snowshoe Resort with our family and a dear friends son. Slightly changed the lyrics to "I ain't dissing you" and all of us enjoyed a few miles of singing along in full lyrical focus....

  • the best song to help you get over a break up. i seen my ex recently and she asked if i missed her but she meant it in a snotty tone and i said

in the words of John Waite i ain't missing you at all

  • this song expresses a time in my life very well

  • Oh the memories... Ok, there goes my age! Cruzin down main street top back, radio blarring John Waite, this song. Checkin out the girls. Picking up my GF from work at 1am. Yeah baby those were the days! Charish your days guys! It's a quick ride!

  • It was 1979 and my friends and I were graduating from high school in a beach town just south of Los Angeles. The Baby's rocked our world and John Waite rocked mine. I knew every word of every song. My best friend bought me tickets for my birthday, we were seated in the front row. John Waite actually placed the microphone next to me to sing a line in "Head First". I was in such shock, that I couldn't sing let alone speak. He was cool about it. Now, 30 plus years later, he is still in my heart.

  • @littlehoneybee77 I'm guessing Manhattan, Hermosa, or Redondo Beach?

  • Manhattan Beach for high school, Mira Costa!

Hermosa Beach for middle school, Pier Avenue!

    Howdy Old Neighbor.

Hope you are well, prospering and loving everything! :-)

  • John Waite, in my esteemed opinion (I'm not humble but working on it!) has one of the most magical male voices in the entire universe. His voice still sends me to the outer reaches of the galaxy and back. If by chance, one fine day, I should meet him, I will thank him for some of the best memories of my life. I can't wait for his new album. I also hope he plays in San Diego very soon.

  • I love the 80's. I wish that i could go back to the 80's. That was the best time line to live in.

  • @wolvereine113 i was a teen in the 80's and i totally agree.

  • @lifeblood67 I was 2 when this song came out. it came out in 1984.

  • @wolvereine113 Could not agree with you more. I wish I had been a little bit older during that time period, but it was the last great era in America. Everything seemed to make sense and despite all the rapid technological advances, there was still this sense of basic innocence in American life and renewed optimism. Everything from the music, to the movies, to the underground scene was original and full of talented individuals. It was like a rebirth in so many ways. It was a special time.

  • @wolvereine113 yes it was...best music ever

  • I was born in the mid 80s and man did I miss out. Songs still told stories, music videos still made sense/were cool. Music today stinks

  • @lizziefan84 agreed, theres still some good tunes today but back then music had more heart an real passion.coz most ppl nowdays write songs from the pocket an not the heart., all about a quick buck now 8 (

  • @lizziefan84

I think often how lucky I was born when I was (1978), coz I still got to experience fantastic music before it all turned into girls in bikinis dancing, dancing anywhere not just a beach, but in clubs and on the street and in office blocks. Unfortunately you missed out big time.

  • @lizziefan84 you didnt miss out, thank God for radio. i was born in 79 allthe music i like is older than me for the most part. i loved through all the 80s i started liking music at 5 .. the year you were born, when MTV was MTV Rock n' Roll. yeah todays music isnt nothing like it used to be,

  • @lizziefan84 I so agree with your comment

  • @lizziefan84 And MTV was still MTV and not BET 2 now I don't know what to call it

  • @lizziefan84 i was a pre teen in in early 80's..spent my entire teen in that decade... yeah bro you did miss out..but least you did not born in the 90's and worse after :)

  • @lizziefan84 Sweetie it's great that you can appreciate this era in time - where there was "real talent." Trying to explain to someone what life was like growing up in the 80s is damn near impossible. You had to "live" it, but somehow, you fell through the cracks of a time many of us (the over 35 crowd) would give anything to re-live. The music stood for something, and the movies...hey who doesn't love a good 80s movie. Even 80s cars were better. lol :) Rock on kid..long live the 80s! :()

  • @lizziefan84 I know what you mean...I was born in '87, so I pretty much missed out on the awesomeness of the decade. There was plenty for me to love about growing up in the 90s, but nowadays so many things just seem so...off-track, so far fallen. /: We really have to look to the classic and retro and vintage for a lot of the best examples of things.

  • I hear your name in certain circles and it always makes me Smile!

    Missin you too Friend

    Denise

  • I'm sorry Honey, I had to regroup but I'm getting back to basics now and will be catching up with ALL OF YOU VERY SOON! Miss all of you!
