Since the day Pakistan came into being justice is just a dream for a common man. A judge is not allowed to officiate in any specific city court for more than a few months. Similarly a police officer officiating at district level like SSP is not allowed to work for a month or 2 at the seat and these actions encourage outlaws as well as violation of law here. The officiating govt is not interested in implementing the law. It's just desirous of its corruption to be unexposed in this way.

Progress can not be separated from internal and external influences and unfortunately in case of Pakistan it has seen many such challenges. Unfortunately our courts have not always been allowed to be independent.Times are however changing and it could well turn out to be a positive development that a chief justice has refused to budge. Politics can not be separated from our lives and the Chief would simply have become another casualty if he had not had any support no matter whether it came from legal profession or politicians.

Let the courts decide. There is a full bench sitting, what more can u ask for? This is the highest level a trial can have. Since the day Pakistan came into being justice is just a dream for a common man. A judge is not allowed to officiate in any specific city court for more than a few months. Similarly a police officer officiating at district level like SSP is not allowed to work for a month or 2 at the seat and these actions encourage outlaws as well as violation of law here. The officiating govt is not interested in implementing the law. It's just desirous of its corruption to be unexposed in this way.

The point is that a country can change if its people can be motivated. Progress can not be separated from internal and external influences and unfortunately in case of Pakistan it has seen many such challenges. The fact that it has survived some serious setbacks & is still existing is to do with its inherent strength and the present crisis will hopefully show it a way ahead.

Unfortunately our courts have not always been allowed to be independent.Times are however changing and it could well turn out to be a positive development that a chief justice has refused to budge. Politics can not be separated from our lives and the Chief would simply have become another casualty if he had not had any support no matter whether it came from legal profession or politicians.

I do not think Mush is hated just because he is mohajir even though some political groups may have made his position embarassing. All military dictators have been unpopular, not just the present one and what we need is our army being subordinate to civilian leadership and tolerance among our politicians who should refrain from facilitating each others removal from the scene. Unfortunately we still appear to have a long way to go before we start believing in fair play.

Let the courts decide. There is a full bench sitting, what more can u ask for? This is the highest level a trial can have. Mushraf has taken a princpled stance of accepting courts decision even if it is against him, but CJ has given credence to the charges against him by becoming a puppet of the corrupt politicians.
