About the SWTOR question... rather than quit wow and play swtor... couldn't you play both.... currently i play mostly wow but sometimes play SC2 and swtor... then again i hate leveling so once i'm done raiding for the week on all my characters theres not a whole lot other that pvp for me to do so i have some time for other games

uhm im sorry, but if u go back to BC, heroics ment it was HEROIC. not easy. a NORMAL dungeon should be fairly easy, but the name HEROIC should mean somthing. i played at the begining of cata, and i found heroics to be TOO easy. the only thing was people had to CC. Heroics ment somthing at the beginning of cata, same with raids. when firelands came out, raids became a joke. za/zg was way to easy. and now deathwing is pathetic on normal and the heroics are pathetic. WoW needs to go back to like BC

An honest tip: you're not a blizz employee, you're a customer. Try other games and maybe you'll find out why WoW's popularity is declining. SWTOR is amazing if only for its solo play.

i dont think im gana like mist, i left pvp in cataclysim, and im not really into much anymore =Z but i cant wait for pandarians, pet battle (my lil'onyxia will pwn), and dungeon challenge mode.
the guild im in is only 3/8 dragonsoul on normal =( tho we did basically just skip firelands, we only did 1 boss and i missed the damn thing on my mage -.-. so i still havent even started quest for dragonwrath =(
loyalty must be the only thing keeping world of warcraft running, that and the whole subscription effect where you feel that if you play other games your wasting your 15 or whatever dollars a month. o and i forgot guild loyalty as well. wow is a great game from a business perspective but i dont see the charm :(

the sleep thing that you have is called sleep paralysis, its when ur brain wakes up before your body does, a lot of people get freaked out when it happens because you can't control your body. Lucid dreams are dreams where you know that your dreaming
i agree with the gearing thing. it was really hard to get my pve druid into raid gear, so i just ended up pvping on my dk because it was easier to gear.

the problem with Cataclysm wasn't the gear, nor the difficulty level. the problem is that they wanted the game to be more focused on the guild (i.e. social) aspect. Blizzard's bet was having guilds work together to progress against content. if you belong to a good guild of trusted people, then this isn't bad. however, the skill level of players in PUGs differ drastically and you have to cater to the lowest common denominator since people depend on each other. that's the core problem with Cata.
@keithyw sadly enough, that does imply mindless channeling AOE > interesting trash mob mechanics. but i believe that the average person playing this game does not want to invest any time beyond simple discovery into a game. but add the dependency between people and you have too many factors to deal with in a game like this.

It's pretty crazy how many people haven't downed heroic DS. I did normal DS (finally!) last week and thought it was easy on normal :3 But then again we had a great raid group with people pulling pretty amazing DPS (myself included, mwhaha) compared to the horror stories of what I have heard from other DS raids :P My guild Alliance side couldn't even down Rag, on normal. Still can't, haha.
I've always wanted t be in a god raidingguiod but people are now so much better geared I can't compare to them. I play a boomkin which is needed most of the time but my server is bad.
Personally i don't agree with you on heroics should be easy. The biggest reason why people are bad at heroics or call them hard is because normal doesn't prepare you for them properly. I feel that normal bosses should have all the mechanics of heroics but with a decrease in damage. It prepares people properly for how the fight the bosses. I do agree with you that the HoT heroics are a joke compared to the originals. Also the big thing is that people have no idea how to build and play their class
I loved the challenge Blizzard brought at the start of Cataclysm. It made instances actually worthwhile.. This "rofl, watch me AoE everything and win epics" idea ruins the game. Sadly since the majority of WoW players don't understand the move out of fire mechanics, I doubt this game will be challenging again.
I've played wow for like 6 years then stopped playing because it's the same thing over and over again, and blizzard gave into the demand of being easy.

the best expansion was Wotlk imo. the ICC is by far the best raid. i think WoW shoulda stopped at that or at least every now and then put some new stuff in but not right away w8 a little while and dnt put so much in at a time.and really MoP is gonna suck lvl 90? STOP ADDING LEVELS! 80 was fine 85 is ok 90 is fucking stupid.
I love Danielle - but i don't agree with her. I think MoP isn't going to be very good - the same way cataclysm wasn't. Blizzard isn't doing much with WoW in this new expansion - adding features isn't innovating. The things they're adding aren't new - they've been done before and that isn't the way to bring subs back. I predict MoP will increase subs but they'll drop again. GW2 has so many NEW features to the mmo scene and over all it's polish, scale and ideas make it stand out.
In response to what you said earlier you depending on businesses to help the poor by inadvertent nature of the business which in all reality probably won't happen your basing your decision on an idealist and ideally shit like that will happen realistically it won't.
imo this should be the diffculty, starting with least difficult...regular cata instances > cata 333 heroics > cata 346 heroics > HoT heroics > LFR > normal raid > heroic raid - difficulty level should directly relate the the quality of gear that can be obtained!!

I do think they named it Heroics to make it hard. It's really weird, that the new 378 dungeons are much easier than the 346 heroics. Lucid Dreaming is when you can control your dreams. You're asleep but you can make concious decisions about what you want to do in your dream. As far as not being able to move whe you wake up, that's noting to worry about. I think it has something to do with your body not leaving its REM state right away.
You don't have to jump ship to play ToR. I played wow for 6 years I own my server blade, I own every collector's edition of WoW(not the 1st tho) I purely enjoy every blizzard title currently has out. Just play a new MMO you don't have to go cold turkey on WoW. I played just about every MMO and still play WoW. Currently playing WoW and ToR but I would say Rift is better then WoW the time I did play.
tbh, I prefered TBC's method of how dungeons and raiding worked. You did lvl70 normal dungeons (which were quite hard in themselves) to gear up for heroics and 10m raids (Kara, Gruul). These were never done as PUGs, because they were difficult. Then, you would progress into the 25m raids which were extremely difficult and required a lot of hard work and dedication. The only difference I'd make is to have a slightly less hard 25m, and then 25m hc which would be at this extemely hard difficulty
@KraieGaming I liked the BC model, too...I think they should have kept it. I am definitely not a fan of heroic raids and the whole 10 and 25man version of the same raid...artificial content...dare I say cheating? Heroic 5mans are ok, but I really think if they make a heroic version of something they need to change something significantly...you know, add a couple bosses, close off one wing and open another, something...
@medigoomnis Definately, atm a 25m is just a 10m with a bit more hp, a bit more damage output and maybe another ability and heroics are literally just normals with an extra couple mil hp. Instead of 10m and 25m versions of raids, there should be separate 10m raids and 25m raids.
Also, because of the way buffing and abilities work now and with the advanced server technology since vanilla was out, could 40m raids be re-implemented? Mow there's less lag and you don't need to constantly rebuff etc..
@KraieGaming Agree wholeheartedly. I've kinda wondered if 40m would be possible again, too...there would be much fewer people running them, of course, but having 1 per xpack might be feasible and encourage ppl to be less selfish (lol maybe); perhaps gating it so that each patch revealed more, but it was really hard so it'd take awhile to get to each 'gate' anyway. I dunno, but certainly different 10m and 25m raids!

Normals & raids should be easy. Heroic should be for hard-core players. Otherwise, raids will always be inaccessible to casuals.

It's pretty crazy how many people haven't downed heroic DS. I did normal DS (finally!) last week and thought it was easy on normal :3 But then again we had a great raid group with people pulling pretty amazing DPS (myself included, mwhaha) compared to the horror stories of what I have heard from other DS raids :P My guild Alliance side couldn't even down Rag, on normal. Still can't, haha.

I've always wanted t be in a god raidingguiod but people are now so much better geared I can't compare to them. I play a boomkin which is needed most of the time but my server is bad.

Personally i don't agree with you on heroics should be easy. The biggest reason why people are bad at heroics or call them hard is because normal doesn't prepare you for them properly. I feel that normal bosses should have all the mechanics of heroics but with a decrease in damage. It prepares people properly for how the fight the bosses. I do agree with you that the HoT heroics are a joke compared to the originals. Also the big thing is that people have no idea how to build and play their class

I loved the challenge Blizzard brought at the start of Cataclysm. It made instances actually worthwhile.. This "rofl, watch me AoE everything and win epics" idea ruins the game. Sadly since the majority of WoW players don't understand the move out of fire mechanics, I doubt this game will be challenging again.

the best expansion was Wotlk imo. the ICC is by far the best raid. i think WoW shoulda stopped at that or at least every now and then put some new stuff in but not right away w8 a little while and dnt put so much in at a time.and really MoP is gonna suck lvl 90? STOP ADDING LEVELS! 80 was fine 85 is ok 90 is fucking stupid.

I love Danielle - but i don't agree with her. I think MoP isn't going to be very good - the same way cataclysm wasn't. Blizzard isn't doing much with WoW in this new expansion - adding features isn't innovating. The things they're adding aren't new - they've been done before and that isn't the way to bring subs back. I predict MoP will increase subs but they'll drop again. GW2 has so many NEW features to the mmo scene and over all it's polish, scale and ideas make it stand out.

imo this should be the diffculty, starting with least difficult...regular cata instances > cata 333 heroics > cata 346 heroics > HoT heroics > LFR > normal raid > heroic raid - difficulty level should directly relate the the quality of gear that can be obtained!!

I do think they named it Heroics to make it hard. It's really weird, that the new 378 dungeons are much easier than the 346 heroics. Blizzard is obviously focusing on ''im playing 1hour aday i got the same gear as you hardcore raid rofl usuk''. In a MMORPG (imo) there should be a challenge to get good gear. Nothing should be faceroll.They will make in MoP the instances as easy as they were in WOTLK, that's shit.

Lucid Dreaming is when you can control your dreams. You're asleep but you can make concious decisions about what you want to do in your dream. As far as not being able to move whe you wake up, that's noting to worry about. I think it has something to do with your body not leaving its REM state right away.

You don't have to jump ship to play ToR. I played wow for 6 years I own my server blade, I own every collector's edition of WoW(not the 1st tho) I purely enjoy every blizzard title currently has out. Just play a new MMO you don't have to go cold turkey on WoW. I played just about every MMO and still play WoW. Currently playing WoW and ToR but I would say Rift is better then WoW the time I did play.

tbh, I prefered TBC's method of how dungeons and raiding worked. You did lvl70 normal dungeons (which were quite hard in themselves) to gear up for heroics and 10m raids (Kara, Gruul). These were never done as PUGs, because they were difficult. Then, you would progress into the 25m raids which were extremely difficult and required a lot of hard work and dedication. The only difference I'd make is to have a slightly less hard 25m, and then 25m hc which would be at this extemely hard difficulty

@KraieGaming I liked the BC model, too...I think they should have kept it. I am definitely not a fan of heroic raids and the whole 10 and 25man version of the same raid...artificial content...dare I say cheating? Heroic 5mans are ok, but I really think if they make a heroic version of something they need to change something significantly...you know, add a couple bosses, close off one wing and open another, something...

@medigoomnis Definately, atm a 25m is just a 10m with a bit more hp, a bit more damage output and maybe another ability and heroics are literally just normals with an extra couple mil hp. Instead of 10m and 25m versions of raids, there should be separate 10m raids and 25m raids.
Also, because of the way buffing and abilities work now and with the advanced server technology since vanilla was out, could 40m raids be re-implemented? Mow there's less lag and you don't need to constantly rebuff etc..

I've kinda wondered if 40m would be possible again, too...there would be much fewer people running them, of course, but having 1 per xpack might be feasible and encourage ppl to be less selfish (lol maybe); perhaps gating it so that each patch revealed more, but it was really hard so it'd take awhile to get to each 'gate' anyway. I dunno, but certainly different 10m and 25m raids!

and if you dont know what lucid dreaming is yet, if i remember correctly it is when you basically have full control over your dreams and what is going on while you are dreaming. personally i have only had this happen a few times that i remember

LOL! "Heroics should be easy. Raids should be hard." Umm, that's why it's called a heroic. In fact, it should be the reverse if you want casuals to be able to play all content. Normals & raids should be easy. Heroic should be for hard-core players. Otherwise, raids will always be inaccessible to casuals.
