It amazes me how many tryhards think they're going so fast cos they drive a manual... unless you're some form of racing driver there's no way you're going to beat this transmission for shifting speed... you know that when you engage the clutch in a manual transmission you STOP accelerating, right? But with this transmission... you don't?

And for fucks sake there's more to cars than OMG 0-60 times... fucken hell half of you that are dissing this car probably drive Hyundai Excels or someshit.

I agree with the interior comments. Why don't manufacturers realize the importance of interior quality. That's where the miles are really spent. Take Volvo. Boring cars but brilliant interior design. Why can't we have both?

I'd like to believe that WRX is better but I don't like the feminine look they've opted for their new range. I was totally blown away by this beast. I yet have to test drive it on Tuesday and my comments might change then.

not the hardcore racers car, but still not a bad car. i think the ppl who buy this arent gonna be the ppl who get excited about various vein turbos and whatnot, i think the ppl who buy this will be ones who what a cool looking and fun sports car, with 5 seats, that will embarass the 17year olds in their civics at the lights for about 30k, its not aimed at ppl who want and evo, totally different market

this is what screaming right here. i'm currently in the market for a new car. I like the 24.5k quote I got. I'm 27, professional, I don't need a 300+ hp car. I drive 65 miles just to and from work a day. So, I'm not trying to buy a car that get's barely 20. This is a sensible pick between wrx, and gti. In the US anyway. I also like the dual clutch tranny. I have a bad knee so shifting all day is out of the question for me. So there goes my wanting of a WRX.

a raliart lancer is a poor mans EVO, but unfortunatly unlike the wrx and wrx sti they are NOTHING ALIKE, go drive a raliart lancer to see for your self, it is nothing like the evo. i own a 09 wrx and i have owned an evo7 in the past and this lancer(or any lancer other than the evo) is crap. You would be much better of buying a Ford XR5 (or i think RS as called in europe). much more fun car to drive than this poser of a car.

I agree the Ralliart is not an evo just like the WRX is no STI. However, the XR5 is no RS. I believe you might be in OZ to bring up the XR5 to ppls attention but as yo might know, the XR5 is the slowest hot hatch on the market in OZ. Yes it has nice interior but that is not to say that all hot hatch buyers are after interior quality before performance. Then again, interior quality would be a definite bonus.

hmmm ive been wanting a 944turbo for a long time but i rode in this car the other day and its not to bad, accelaration is a second slower 0-60, and its a auto, and a 09...

Mitsubishi has got it right this time! Glad they got ride of the old Ralliart. I did drive the 2009 ralliart and it feels good, though a little soft, and I could not stop looking for my gear shift, the Paddles are cool, but I want 5-speed. I believe they don't have that option. But I'd like to buy one to sit along side my EVO IX...

Love the car but it should be alot different from the gts and evo. The wheels should be different as well as spoiler to set it off different from the others. The interior is poorly made and cheap, with hard touch materials, and a poorly laid out centre stack. BORING...Step it up mitsu!
