@funwiththoughts Btw Dinofelis also hunted Australopithecus. And possibly Zebra or other animals alive today. And Dinofelis didn't live that long ago that is hunted cat sized horses.
I would like to see it in the other way around, the snowstalker owning the carakillers (like the smilodon owning the terror birds in Walking with prehistoric beasts).
I for one am deeply disappointed at the Snowstalker's chickening out 'cause of that single carakiller. I remembered that Saber-toothed cats have made the Terror Birds into chickens and took them out.
Well in this version, the Carakiller is listed as 7 feet tall, but in the official version, the Carakiller is listed as being 3 meters, or 9.8 feet tall.
@funwiththoughts Saber-toothed tigers never existed. Saber-tooth are also called, Smilodons. In addition, Terror Birds only preyed on either weak, diseased, or young Smilodons. A full grown Smilodon would have no problem taking a Terror bird down.
@CosmicGrounds I don't so much question whether a Smilodon would be capable of the task, but whether they would actually do it. Also, Smilodons weren't the only saber-toothed cats. They made up an entire subfamily of cats, which (as you probably know) is now extinct... or is it?
@funwiththoughts Also, Smilodon hunted very large prey, such as mammoths and rhinos, while shagrats are only about the size of sheep, and while gannetwhales are pretty large, snowstalkers only eat the eggs, so the snowstalker doesn't need to be and isn't as large or as strong as Smilodon and is more comparable to the early, min-sabertooth Dinofelis, which mainly hunted primitive horses (which were only about the size of cats at the time), rather than the more well-known Smilodon.
esta bueno, pero a pesar de todo, no es mejor que el verdadero documental, creo que si no pueden hacer segunda temporada porque se les acabaron los animales, utilizen tambien los del libro de Dougal Dixon: Evolution after man.
Hey I just watched this cartoon today when I was flipping through the channels. I love the future is wild and I can't believe they made a children's cartoon out of it! Is there a Mediterranean desert ep?

@amm019 tough luck. it's a kids show. that sucks.

@amm019
Except for the fact that Smilodon was twice the size of a Snowstalker and because Smilodon hunted in packs.

@N00bcrunch3r How big is the snowstalker and didn't it's ancestor scared even grizzlies away from kills?
amm019 1 year ago
@amm019
Oh, a grizzly could easily take down a Wolverine. A properly trained human could take down a badger bare handed.
N00bcrunch3r 1 year ago
@N00bcrunch3r phorusrhacos was also bigger than the carrakiller

@amm019 Except that no, they didn't. The Terror Bird was the one predator of the Saber-toothed tiger.
