  • COOL! I NEED THAT COSPLAY!

  • wow... this costume is really legit. how'd you make the lights? oh ya, hate to say this.... the bow is a little oversized if you didn't notice... ^_^;

  • @FueledOnSushi: The lights are balloon LEDs. The bow is over-sized on purpose.

  • i love the boooow is so big and fluffy

  • A cartoon is English animation. It's not an animation so it's not a cartoon. It could be called an Anime Character I suppose but it's really just a robot singing doll. Or something like that.

  • @KATkittyattackteam: The technically and original term for cartoon referred to a preparatory drawing for a piece of art (think of a sketch for a painting). The term's modern usage varies, from comic strips to CGI animation. Basically anything that is a 2D drawing can be referred to as a cartoon (though it is usually not applied to pieces in a more realistic style). I say cartoon in the description mainly because I'm going for a more exaggerated look w/ my costume.

  • @kranberrijam: Opps, "The technical and original term" is what I meant to say.

  • First of all it's not a cartoon character, Rin is a Vocaloid. She is a voice banking system created to sing songs in Japanese; she has several appends. No English voice bank if I'm correct. Also the shirt is suppose to show some skin on your lower belly, and as for the lighting that makes me wonder if you bought it. Although it looked neat I would have used glow in the dark paint, it's alil messy but I don't personally have that much time or money to spend on a costume. Chances are if you enter

  • @KATkittyattackteam: As a 2D drawing, Rin is a cartoon. I am knowledgeable about Vocaloids and welcome any person interesting in learning more to ask or do searches. This video is for showing my cosplay, not explaining what Vocaloid is. Since this video I have modified this outfit, making the shirt shorter (I was originally uncomfortable w/ showing my stomach) and changing a couple of small details. The lights are balloon LEDs, which I bought and out in pockets in the outfit.

  • @KATkittyattackteam: AS for glow in the dark paint, that is entirely possible and I encourage people to experiment. While I am willing to blow some money on cosplay (thus the LEDs) that does not mean that good cosplay cannot be done on a budget, it just comes down to creative and effective you can be. If you do a Rin outfit, then please share it!

  • the arm warmer are so cool ,good job! :)

  • The bow is TO big.

  • Wow Awesome it lights-up...Maybe i'll make my len cosplay light up too!^^

  • the bow is big but i love the light up effect

  • That's so cool!! I've been planning on making a Rin cosplay too ^-^

  • thats a really really good cosplay im making my own too but its for lightning off of final fantasy :D

  • QUE ENVIDIA! yo quiero un cosplay de rin pero cuesta caleta es muy caro todo y mi mama dice no que parecen "putitas"

  • I am very impressed! The embroidery must've been a total pain. XD Did the lights and speakers require any programming? And what kind of speakers did you use? Were they connected to an iPod or something?

  • @PrincessLelouch: My mother-in-law did an amazing job on the embroidery and she enjoyed it a lot. The lights are just balloon LEDs that turn on and off by turning the battery holder. The speaker is a battery operated speaker that will plug into any music player.

  • @kranberrijam ....then where's your music player? also in the leg warmer?

  • it's great ! except for the part of the shirt and your bow ( it's little big ) but i still like it!

  • I have a question. about how long did this cosplay take you to make??

  • @alphakatie: Ohman, I couldn't tell you in days or hours (because we didn't keep track) but it was over a few months for sure. First it took weeks to get the patterns just right and then we shopped for the perfect fabric and the actual prop and sewing stuff was probably at least a month itself. A lot of the work was only done on weekends (due to jobs).

  • @kranberrijam yeah I could tell. I plan on making a len cosplay sometime within the next year or so and by the looks of yours. I have a lot of work to do.....

  • Comment removed

  • @izumilovesanime: I saw you removed your comment, but to answer your question, we made the box big on purpose because we thought it looked cute and a bit ridiculous. If I ever do more serious Rin cosplays, I will make a smaller bow.

  • @kranberrijam yea i wrote the comment while i was watching then i read the description and saw that

  • @izumilovesanime: That's quite fine.

  • that is sooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!

ermm i kinda asume that you didnt make the wig... i dont wanna sound weird i think is the word... but wher did you get the wig? because im looking for a wig and thay all look weired.. because i know how to style thim and all its just the wigs are to stiffish and to short... so yea...

  • @cocolove7777714: The was purchased from eBay seller COSPLAY WIG. The wig was pe-styled so all I had to do was separate the bangs.

  • wiii how nice! how do you put the lights ?

  • @KikuHanako:The lights are little balloon LEDs, that fit into various holdings built into the costume.

  • GLIMMERGEAR

  • That is so cool! I'm trying to make headphones and sleeves slightly like Kagamine Rins ones for this fashion Prade thing I'm having on Friday (It's for Japanese at School) and your cosplay gave me ideas of how I could use speakers and stuff. :D Thank You!

  • You're an adoreable rin!! :33

  • GAHHHH YOU'RE CUTE! -feels creepy for saying so-

  • Can you tell me where you got the speakers? I've been looking all over for one that's small and concealable but can work if i speak into the microphone (3.5mm jack?). (for mikuo :D)

  • @iChopBalls: I honestly can't help you there. The speaker I have was given to me by a friend, who said he found it in the clearance section of an Office Depot a couple of years back. A quick search on Amazon is giving me some results that look promising, so maybe you can look there? Good luck w/ your cosplay!

  • I'm getting a Rin cosplay next year :D and my friend is making a Len! :D yayy

  • You look so cool!!!

  • Hi, I'm making a Rin cosplay, and all I need to do is the bow... Could you PLEASE give me a tip or two on the bow? :c

  • @DestroyingStars: That greatly depends on what type of bow you are going for. Mine is fabric and wire, but you could easily make one just out of fabric (stiff or otherwise), stuffing one, or many other ideas. Each one will give you a different result.

  • I don't have the hair pieces, or Headphones, or shoes... Nice though :3 I think some pieces of my cosplay are in better quality :3 <3

  • Amazing! And you made this cosplay? Wow, you're a cosplay master! xD

  • Probably not the best, but very nice and well done, good job

  • too awesome. loved the arm thingie a ma dingies and the headphones, but the ribbon was a little (WAYYYYYYYYY) too big. >.<

  • Aww..amazing<3

  • Ohhh....you are so adorable....I wanna hug you so badly.....Rin....*sobs*

  • Sugoooi!!! *-*

  • that kind of sucks.

  • did u make that? omfg! AMAZING :D i LOVE it :)

  • OMG That Bow is HUGE OAO

  • WHERE CAN I BUY LIGHT UP HEADPHONES AND ARM WARMERS? O^O I need to know!

  • @KayKayPProdutions: You can possibly commission some or look on the internet. I make mine and do not take cosplay commissions.

  • @kranberrijam I looked all over the internet. I really want to buy yours! D: I only found light up headphones on Ebay, but Kagamine light up sleeves are no where to be found :<

  • @kranberrijam hey im doing a yowane hak cosplay and im wondering how to make arm warmers. thanks :)

  • @IzumiKichida: I would suggest looking up how to make a standard arm warmer and modifying the pattern to the shape you want.

  • @KayKayPProdutions I know! Attach glow sticks! =3

  • @ChocolateMoo838 That won't work because I want it to flash.,.

  • Whats the bow made of? Oh and ill add you on deviantart ^^

  • nice cosplay :D

  • Nnnnoooooo it's too big );

  • Wait, your leg warmers have REAL speakers in them!?

  • @IceQueen975: Yes, there is an actual speaker hidden under my left leg warmer.

  • @kranberrijam You are awesome!

  • How long did it take you to make this? It's AMAZiNG.

  • @ShippaiX3: Probably close to two months, working mainly on the weekends, but also a lot during the week.

  • Do your head phones have individual circuits for the led or are u linked to one??

  • @CloverIshtar: The lights in my headphones are two separate balloon LED lights that run on small cell batteries.

  • Wow, great job~! :D

I love how you did it... I think it's a good idea to not give out your patterns, but maybe you could consider selling them?

    Meh~

    Ignore me~

    NICE COSPLAY 8D

  • @katanafightergirl: I cosplay for fun, not for profit. Plus, my patterns are usually made out of newspaper and wrapping paper, plus they're all sized to fit me and I'm a very small person.

  • omg! you are so awesome! looks store bought! yoyu mustve made lots of cosplay!

  • AMAZING!!! :D :D :D i'm working on a Rin Kagamine cosplay myself! it won't be near as awesome as this though

  • G-G-GI-GIANT B-BOW! BOW! BOOOW!!!!!!!!

  • How did you do the lights!!?!?!???

  • @mangaproductions100: They are LED balloon lights.

  • Thats one big bow lol nice costume ^_^

  • Well done on everything :O i mean, thats... wow! Was everything handmade? because my friend's mom made my entire kagamine cosplay (we did both Rin and Len for Otakon), So I appreciate how intricate everything is :O

  • @squeedillyspooge: Thank you very much. Everything was made by my mother-in -law and myself.

  • If this was on sale, I would buy it!

  • do you possibly have a design sheet for this? and i didnt get a goo look on the speaker leg warmers....(im trying to get batter a sewing for my sis) she luvs the K twins

  • Awesome! Hey what stuff did you use to make the arm things?

  • This is AMAZING cosplay and may I ask, here did you get the armwarmers and head phones from? :)

  • @MsLolipopTv: They were all hand-made.

  • @kranberrijam hmmmmm is the music in the costume itself or did you just play it either way that's awesome im also working on a rin cosplay im 12 making it all by my self i feel proud!

  • @1mhhm omg im doing the same thing!

  • wow, this is da far best kagamine rin cosplay ive seen! :3 and i love how your sleeves and headset lights up! its just awsomely amazing~! but if u dnt mind me asking...how did u imprint the words vocaloid? if its no bother to ask? :3

  • @XxTheIconStarxX: The lettering is all hand embroidered.

  • @kranberrijam thnx u ^^

  • That is awesome! Exspecially the light up thing! xD I know some costumes light up, and I plan on buying a Hatsune Miku costume, but I doubt it would light us. D:

  • ur bow is so big and awesome

  • big bow whoaaaaaa

  • I'm making my own Rin costume. Thanks for the help! (btw you helped by further motivating me lulz)

  • Phew... looks like a lot of embroidary work ^-^;;

  • Is the belt...paper? It kinda looks like it or maybe it's just me.

  • @Squishymals: The belt is leather.

  • @kranberrijam How did you add on the design? sew it on?

  • dat bow is huge!

  • HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU ADD LIGHTS YOU MASTER GENIUS? im 12, so i can NOT do that....

  • @nekoXnekoXgurl: It's just painted leather straps that I added the belt parts to.

  • di u make that if so then well done

  • The bow is WAAAAAY to big

  • Very nice cosplay! Love the lights <3

And if I may ask, what kind of fabric did you use to make the arm and leg warmers? (:

  • @SlyCooperFan4ever: To be 100% honest, I don't know. It was some fabric I'd be holding onto for quite some time. It's shiny and a little stretchy, so perhaps a type of linen? Sorry I can't be of more help.

  • im rry... i LOOOOOVE it but the bow is rly big

  • The speaker in the leg warmer is a creative twist I had yet to see in a vocaloid cosplay....very nice! ^___^

  • Marvelous cosplay!! :D

I love how the costume lights up, very creative :D

  • OMG ._. <3

  • speaker leg warmers! :) awesome cosplay!

  • This looks amazing! Is it okay to ask how you made the belt???

  • such a big bow! O___O

  • It looks awesome! I'll be using this for ideas when I make my Twins' outfits for them, so thank you!

  • awesome cosplay! :3

  • ❤ :3

  • Instead of Miku's tie killing her, Rin's giant bow kills her.

  • Btw. If you want a better bow get some white fabric and some card board.

Measure the top of your head (side to side). Add an inch to the result. Cut the number you get in half. One half is equal to how WIDE one of the bow things should be. Cut two cardboard bow shapes. Then sew white fabric around both pieces individually. Get them on a head band however you think it'll work.

  • The bow is as big as your body xDD Good cosplay though

  • The bow is way to big so is the sailor fuku cape thing. The ear phones look like they're made of playdoh... Cool light up effects though. ^_0

  • I want a Rin Kagamine cosplay T_T

  • wow, that looks awesome oO i love the details <3

  • downscale it and put it on a 10 year old.

    take pictures

    ??????????

  • wow realy like, just wanted to ask, how do you make the bun?

  • OOhhh...it looks gewd :)

  • oh wow! that is a very well made rin cos OAO how'd you make it light up? can u make a tutorial vid on how to do that?

  • @RosaBien: They are just balloon LED lights; if you look at pictures you can get an idea of just have many ways they can be used; I'm sure other people could come up w/ other, perhaps better, ideas.

I MAY do a video tutorial on some headphones, but no promises.

  • @kranberrijam okee dokee~

  • Aw man~ I want speaker in my costume too!! Maybe I can get my brother or a local nerd to help me.

  • Your rin cosplay = EPIC

  • how did you make it light up??? also how did u make the arm warmers?? im very confiused. im only thirteen so i dnt really kno how to doit??? help!!!!

  • @kekiisgoodforursoul: Please read the video description and other comments. The arm warmers are a custom pattern and the video tells you what kind of lights I used.

  • @kranberrijam I found away!! yay! for the arm warmers, i am using elastic to hold them up same for the boot covers. and found away to make them lite up!

  • how did u make the yellow bow?? my rin doesnt know how to make that and i want to help her figure it out but dont know how to help =(

  • @gokulover3: It is just two pieces of fabric for each side of the bow sew together with ironed folds; it doesn't tie like a real bow at all. :P

  • dam im trying to find a way to make the armwarmers to glow but i did find a way to make the haedphones glow n i love ur costume :D

  • : D it looks awesome except the bow is a bit to big but other than that its awesome!!!

  • what kinda fabric did you use??

  • @Cosplayepisodestv: Mostly cotton blends. The black fabric is something I just happened to have in the closest, but I think it's a kind of lyrca blend..

  • Ughh, jealousy! Your costume looks a hundred times better than what I have made xD

  • The cosplay is awesome! Two thumbs up! But the bow is HUGE! U should get a new 1....

  • oh my gosh! i need those headphones and warmers... T^T i want flashy stuff... btw i will use them for my "len" cosplay... :D

  • mine doesnt lite up but it the parts were the lights are glow in the dark

  • This is totally rad! :D I'm sure you're well aware that you did an amazing job, but I'd like to state it again. :D I'm hoping to try using LED lights in mine as well, but I won't have time to do it before my next few cons, so I'll be doing it for next year's. :D <333

  • THAT IS AWESOME!!!! i loce the speakers :D i would love to make some myself :D

  • My Rin costume is coming in in like one week I so can't wait It's coming all the way from Hong Kong! very nicely you could win a competition with that!

  • I bout my rin coustume i

  • Oh thanks I'm glad your not mad :D

  • wow nice on the lighting

  • Dose the bow on ur head realy need to be that big? No I'm not trying to make u mad and if I do I'm srry . It an amazing cosplay and I'm realy jelos... But in a good way.!

  • @plushies445: No, not really, it's that big to be a bit silly. I'm cosplaying a cartoon character afterall. I have plans for more serious Rin outfits and those will have smaller bows.

  • Wow that's a really good cosplay!~ ^ w ^b

Whomever made it haz some epic mad skillz

I think it's cool you figured out how to make the light up arm warmers for Rin. I do know where to buy some for Miku though.

Even if I googled it, the fact that you got a speaker in a leg warmer will always puzzle me o.o

  • The ribbon is so huge.

    0w0

  • That's very good.

  • How do you make that?

  • @XxCresentLunaXx: Please read the video description and the other comments on this video. I've pretty much covered everything about the costume that I will tell others. Part of the fun of cosplay is figuring out things yourself.

  • O___O'' Please, teach me ~ <3

  • @Utaloidproduction: Please read the video description and the other comments on this video. I've pretty much covered everything about the costume that I will tell others. Part of the fun of cosplay is figuring out things yourself.

  • ... hey huge bow

  • Her headphones look like they are made of plastic. 8D

  • besides my earphones...way too expensive

  • i like your cosplay alot and LOVEEEE the effects on it...i think the bow could be a little smaller though...but i adore you took the time to make it, i got lazy and bought mine. lol.

  • BUNNEH!

  • I need to make a rin kagamine bow, can you please tell me how you made yours???

    I have a con tomorrow!!

  • @awesomenessinacan139: It is wire covered w/ fabric, as I mentioned in a previous comment.
