thats not really an accurate comparison, the expedition's main rival would have to be either the gmc yukon xl or the chevy suburban. not the tahoe. the tahoe was on par with explorer for size + practicality. i dont get it.
though i like the new tahoe, i would rather have a 1996 Tahoe LT because i dont like the aerodynamics, plastic bumpers ore rear coil springs on the new ones, for me, it's got to have steel bumbers, boxier styling, and rear leaf springs
I got a used 07' Colorado about a year ago, so far I am very pleased with it. I have owned some pretty nice cars before hand, a 89 Skyline, Infi' G36, but when I decided to go to Truck's I as really surprised. I think the next vehicle I am getting will be a Chevy again. Probably the Tahoe.
i dont like the third row seat. it makes it more difficult to travel with kids. I think that makes the Ford Expedition better and the expedition is a better value. A 6,000 dollar difference between the two higher trims.

I dont think you understand.In The chevy i have to remove the back seats which weigh quite a bit and children can't remove them. also all i have to do in the ford to get the third row seat down is press a button and they lay flat. Now tell me which is easier. Also the ford is thousands of dollars cheaper and has higher quality according to jd power and Kelly blue book consumer reviews.And there is barely a difference in gas millage.and ford didnt need 50 billion from the gov

I love my Tahoe! Got mine 3 years ago, and guess what there couldn't be any better SUV compared to this one. Luxury, comfort, safety and above all, my whole family loves it! Roomy interior, commanding view, extremely smooth ride are all this only one car can offer. Would never part with mine, no matter what.
Rode in one today. Nice roomy interior, well finished off. Lousy gas mileage even with the cylinder shut off feature. The 5.3 gave 13 to 16 mpg in mixed driving. Ride was smooth on smooth roads, but bouncy on the rough pavement. Great seats, and a real highway cruiser.
I drive a Nissan altima and although I love import cars I'm a sucker for American trucks and SUVs. My brother drives a chevy trailblazer he loves it and I really like it but he wants upgrade to a tahoe 1 day, i can see why :)
@TheMikentyty yes actually, you have to get the 6.0L 2500 version though. That makes gives it the highest towing capicity of any new SUV, now that the Seqioa's towing decreased to 7000lbs
after some expensive, very very poor quality us produced cars, Chevrolet Blazer, Trail Blazer, Camaro, Chrysler 300 and Jeep Grand Cherokee I drive japanese cars today. Less expensive and much better quality...

Chrysler added two more doors to that car to make it a four-door, but it's still called a Charger. I just think the old name is better.

My cousin cut one off (it was silver with deep tints), it stopped us because they thought we were in a stolen car. Scary!!! Bought I love the undercovers though.
Luxury interior my ass! I ve just compared head to head Tahoe for $53K and Nissan Armada Platinum for $52K... Day and night! Tahoe looks and feels cheap inside! No sensors! Leather crap you should see Armadas! Navigation 5 year old in Tahoe...please! And it has smaller doors as well! I just love how new Tahoe looks! Total killer on the road! Not worth buying new though! Used would save you lots of money!

My mom bought a chevy Tahoe and she loves it!! It is an LTZ and is fully loaded with all the equipment..although it is very pricey it costed about $55,000 so I think if you don't need a sporty kinda car like the tahoe you can always buy a Cadillac Escalade or a GMC Denali

ehhh the interior and exterior styling is so predictable, square, bland yet well priced. @Sherwin930 the z71 package would be better, with its offroad suspension and rear locking differential and protective skid plates, but you should be able to do light offroading with just 4WD
After being burned by Chevrolet, I'll never buy another. Vehicle developed troubles (hard starting, gas in oil, stalling, etc) on vacation in Florida. Dealer asked for details and said bring it in. After limping to shop, was told they don't work on older vehicles (5.5 years old). Vehicle caught fire in parking lot. Put out with extinguisher, but dealer still refused to repair. Offered to sell me another. Had vehicle towed to another shop. Later called Chevy, who said dealers not their problem.
@7477238 First time for us - both dealer and fire. Fuel injection system not shutting off, slowly filling engine with gas. Another shop repaired, flushed oil, and we made it okay. Minimal fire damage. Attitude of dealer was incredible. He was told year when we called, but, after we arrived, refused to repair. Instead, tried to sell us a new vehicle. We were on vacation and had no money for that. Besides, our Tahoe good enough, which is why we drove it on vacation.
@norwegiangangsta it get's about 21 mpg, and then the chevy tahoe hybrid gets even better gas mpg's, so, if you can afford it, the hybrid is wut u might want, if not then the regular still might do u justice, but @ 1:07 to 1:12 might help u out a little bit. personally i want the hybrid, but i would get the LT, so i can get the z71 package installed for off roading, but hey, im 14, so o cant get any right now. :) hahaha lol

Haha, the Tahoe is like a Toyota Camry...The generic brand of SUV's (and the Camry is the generic mid-size sedan). Plus I had a friend who traded their Acura in on a 2008 Tahoe and they regret it from the first week he had the Tahoe. It's the most boring car to drive and looks so damn BLAND!

@khira18047 Peugeot is one of the most widely sold brands in Europe. I have a Citroen C5 2.2 HDI VTR with Hydroactive 3 air suspension and ride height control. It will be more fuel efficient, more confortable and better looking than this Tahoe.
Not to say that America doesn't make any good cars- Cadillac is an excellent, reliable luxury brand for a good price.

@donzaliko Yes, and where I live, I've seen Detectives, Undercovers, and Sheriffs use them. I also seen them as Emergency vehicles.

@donzaliko Thanks, Its kind of scary to have the undercovers though, cuase their sirens are loud and it looks like any regular tahoe (it was silver with deep tints). My cousin cut one off (it was silver with deep tints), it stopped us because they thought we were in a stolen car. Scary!!! Bought I love the undercovers though.

Luxury interior my ass! I ve just compared head to head Tahoe for $53K and Nissan Armada Platinum for $52K... Day and night! Tahoe looks and feels cheap inside! No sensors! Leather crap you should see Armadas! Navigation 5 year old in Tahoe...please! And it has smaller doors as well! I just love how new Tahoe looks! Total killer on the road! Not worth buying new though! Used would save you lots of money!

@pissyant69 Great! I havent seen yours! Aramada has all these for $42.750 MSRP! 4X4 !Just talked to them Yesterday! How much you paid for yours? Dont get me wrong I love how Tahoe looks! The best design they had so far. But interior lacking luxury touch to it! Used Tahoe would be a great deal but for the money they want for the new one not good enough for me! And if they even had a blow out doll in there I bet it would be cheap looking as the rest of the interior!

@pauchara Hey, the Tahoe was not made to have all the luxury flow to it, its a sport utility. If you want to compare, go talk about the Escalade it a luxury SUV.

My mom bought a chevy Tahoe and she loves it!! It is an LTZ and is fully loaded with all the equipment..although it is very pricey it costed about $55,000 so I think if you don't need a sporty kinda car like the tahoe you can always buy a Cadillac Escalade or a GMC Denali

ehhh the interior and exterior styling is so predictable, square, bland yet well priced. I do think its alittle under powerd for its size but i guess they had to sacrifice some power for better gas mileage witch is a stupid idea just because the average "suv buyer" probably isnt buying a suv for its gas mileage. i do like the dodge durango better but thats just me.

@Sherwin930 the z71 package would be better, with its offroad suspension and rear locking differential and protective skid plates, but you should be able to do light offroading with just 4WD

After being burned by Chevrolet, I'll never buy another. Vehicle developed troubles (hard starting, gas in oil, stalling, etc) on vacation in Florida. Dealer asked for details and said bring it in. After limping to shop, was told they don't work on older vehicles (5.5 years old). Vehicle caught fire in parking lot. Put out with extinguisher, but dealer still refused to repair. Offered to sell me another. Had vehicle towed to another shop. Later called Chevy, who said dealers not their problem.

@7477238 First time for us - both dealer and fire. Fuel injection system not shutting off, slowly filling engine with gas. Another shop repaired, flushed oil, and we made it okay. Minimal fire damage. Attitude of dealer was incredible. He was told year when we called, but, after we arrived, refused to repair. Instead, tried to sell us a new vehicle. We were on vacation and had no money for that. Besides, our Tahoe good enough, which is why we drove it on vacation.

@norwegiangangsta it get's about 21 mpg, and then the chevy tahoe hybrid gets even better gas mpg's, so, if you can afford it, the hybrid is wut u might want, if not then the regular still might do u justice, but @ 1:07 to 1:12 might help u out a little bit. personally i want the hybrid, but i would get the LT, so i can get the z71 package installed for off roading, but hey, im 14, so o cant get any right now. :) hahaha lol

I leased one from previous generation working as my company's representative in St.Peterburg, Russia. It had Russian VIN and Made in Russia label. They were making Trailblazers in Russia as well. GM is a large international company. It has plants worldwide.

Haha, the Tahoe is like a Toyota Camry...The generic brand of SUV's (and the Camry is the generic mid-size sedan). Plus I had a friend who traded their Acura in on a 2008 Tahoe and they regret it from the first week he had the Tahoe. It's the most boring car to drive and looks so damn BLAND!

@khira18047 Peugeot is one of the most widely sold brands in Europe. I have a Citroen C5 2.2 HDI VTR with Hydroactive 3 air suspension and ride height control. It will be more fuel efficient, more confortable and better looking than this Tahoe.
Not to say that America doesn't make any good cars- Cadillac is an excellent, reliable luxury brand for a good price.
