@TreeTrunk82 I know. RYANAUS04 is a goof! This video doesn't cover much. He really thinks "this video covers everything". I hope he goes out to buy a car after watching this video
@huang1100 like what? He knows exactly what he is talking about and covers everything. You sound like a fucking idiot, with no actual evidence to your claim. So, you fucking expert, what are these important things he hasn't covered?
@ryanaus04 Important things not covered: (1) Make sure the CEL (as well as other warning lights) functions! Check that it comes on when you turn the key. (2) Check that all the VINs match up. If they don't, it guarantees the car was in an accident. (3) Is the CEL on? Have the codes read. (4) Check the owners manual, is the car due for a timing belt? (5) Check the fluids before and after driving. (6) Take it on the freeway or be sure to use all the gears. (Offer to buy gas for this)
@ryanaus04 (7) Check the VIN's history, check all service records if available. (8) Visually inspect components for leaks, rust, etc. (9) Turn off the radio, roll down the window while test driving to listen for problems. (10) Maybe I'm weird but I'll blast the heater in my face to check if I can smell anything wrong as well. (11) I do a quick visual inspection of the tires to be sure the car is safe to drive before I even get in it.
I don't think this video is intended to cover everything.
other good notes is ask howlong the car has sat in one place, bearings can go out from just sitting threw one winter and stand behind the car and listen to exhaust for missing. whip your finger around inside the exhaust pipe at the back and inspect it, is it oily? smell like rotten egg? dont buy it. I also like to feel the inside of the rear tire wells to check for rubber, you can tell if a car has just burned out a few times or dogged alot by the amount of mealted rubber slinging on it.
@ryanaus04 Do you really think "this video covers everything". Wow.. you really are an idiot!!
