No live version of Eruption, Spanish Fly, Cathedral, Mean Street, or Little Guitars performed by EVH or anyone else has ever been note for note with the exact timing of the original recordings. In fact, EVH plays spontaneously most of the time - usually his live solos are noticably different than the recorded versions. Unfortuantely, the camcorder microphone was insufficient in reproducing the actual guitar tone.

@schismc Yeah... I like this way, I think the 100% exact reproduction of the studio versions sounds like a "limitade" guitar playing. Create over the original patterns make the guitarrist more 'human', sounds cool too...

The segment at 5:02-5:30 was inspired by Jeff Watson. Brian Young played this entire solo nearly note-for-note in the late '90s through 2001. Russ was the Punks bass player before taking over Brian's position. Brian went on to play with David Lee Roth's band on a few tours.

I read an interview with Ralph Saenz that EVH requested the Atomic Punks not release a CD (there are at least 20 uncopyrighted songs that Van Halen never released on any albums). There's a song "BULLETHEAD" that the Atomic Punks re-recorded. It almost sounds exactly like the original live recording. Satchboggy used it as a backing track for one of his videos. On another note, there are proshot DLR videos on youtube from 1999 & 2004 that feature Brian Young on guitar. Seach and you will find!
