This short movie is not just disjointed stunts and craziness, it has a cohesive (though simple) story and it's presented in a continuous and cinematic style. Saying it was't made by "Machinima" is meaningless. it IS A machinima. Go learn what machinima actually means instead of jumping to conclusions based on assumptions.

@criss0906 No mods - it was a condition of the contest. No mods allowed. I did actually cheat and use a mod though. But only one, and only to change the time of day/weather - and only because the inconsistent behavior of the replay capture makes it virtually impossible to get something like this in a single take.

@bigbang966 It is not easy to get the view inside the car. You have to use a free camera and just manually position the camera, then when the car moves and the camera doesn't you just have to make lots of adjustments and keep tweaking the cam position on different frames and adjusting the tweenings until it works.

I can't actually watch the video right now because I'm in China and it just times out. Going by memory, I think it was just a black jacket, black pants, and black or dark gray boots all from the first clothing shop at the beginning of the game (except for one brief moment when he is wearing an all black suit from the shop he goes to in the video).

The feature is poorly implemented anyway. It doesn't keep a cache of the last 45 seconds it just captures a 45 second block and then discard it and starts a new one. So when you do some amazing thing that you could never get to happen again and then hit capture, but it happens to be 3 seconds after the last block was discarded and a new one started so you only get the last 3 seconds which completely sucks.

Not easy to use either. Took me about 16 hours to get the footage for this and do editing

PC version. Console versions don't have the in-game video editor, and as far as I know the only way to get all the different camera angles is with the in-game video editor.

I know what you mean daylanzee. I must have spent 500+ hours playing San Andreas, but I was bored of GTA4 single player long before beat beat the game. The multiplayer is pretty awesome though (at least on PC). Just the MP was worth the cost of the game.
