Carinthia also doesn't obey the laws. The Slowenian minority there is treated badly and they deserve place-name signs in German AND Slowenian. The people there cut off the signs with the Slowenian names or steal them.

However, this documentation is pretty lurid. All these parallels to WWII, and no documentation of politics in other parts of Austria. Especially in Vienna, there is a huge dislike of Jörg Haider's politics.

Yes, you're right, we still have a long way to go until we can say that we've become a respectful country that is accepting all kinds of people without being somewhat suspicious of them. I wouldn't say, however, that Strache is worse than Haider. Strache isn't smart, he's just a "pretty" puppet that can be paraded around like the good guy. There is nothing wrong with people (such as the Austrians) wanting to keep the native people the majority.

I've witnessed some incredible racism & discrimination in Austria, not only towards Blacks, Turks, etc.. but towards Czech people who worked there!!! Girls being sexually harrassed at work, and sacked if they complained, simply because they were "foreigners". I think many there suffer from some sort of 'delusions of grandeur' thing. They seem to think they still have the Austro-Hungarian empire, and that Czech, northern Italian, ex-Jugoslavian, and Hungarian people should be their servants!!!

oh! yeah Austrians are perhpas 20 times more racists then Germans. I have been there myself, as a tourist I drove from Bavaria all the way to Vienna.those people are bad, really bad they see red when they spot anyone who isn't blond with blue eyes and worst of all they gang up on you. Hitler was originally from Austria, in his early video you can even hear a little Austrian accent, he just polished it during his "reign". lol! all those Haider youth members,they give off this ugly gay vibe.
