  • I just finished this and it is wonderful!!! My foundation row is kind of flimsy...and uneven...anyone tell me how to do it better? Otherwise it is perfect! I used gray Red Heart Super Saver...did 200 chains and stopped when I ran out of yarn....14 rows! Perfect! Thank you for this video!

  • @ARCHANA6640

I believe it is a chain of 180. I've been studying this stitch and I'm going to make my first one starting today!

  • Beacause of this video I bought all the things and made my mother a beautiful scarf. Thank You!

  • Hi again, what kind of stitch would you call this? Is there a name to it? You are an excellent and heart warming speaker. I totally enjoyed your tutorial. Lovely. Thank you , MsSweetpuppy

  • I love this! You're terrific! also, how long does it take to make the larger scarf?

  • My mom also loves to crochet. She makes afghans, and has done so for quite a few years. By now, she's made one for just about everyone in the immediate family, lol. I'm gonna try and do this, and maybe I can make a scarf for everyone :) Thanks for the tutorial!

  • Hi, I'm Karl. I just watched your tutorial and loved it! I'm going to make one of these too! Excellent job explaining everything.

  • Gotta try this someday. Thanx for the tut :)

  • Hello, thanks to your tutorial i made a beautiful and purple 20 row scarf...i wish o could send you the pic...:)

  • @cnfd17

I wish I could see it myself! I'm going to make my first one today. I studied this video many times and finally going to try today...

  • Thank you so much! I had made on for myself And I'm only 9 years old! I had made myself a laker colored one and did the 20 stitch pattern thank you so much!!

  • @thekmama1 Wow, Good Job! I'm sure your scarf looks Beautiful ~

  • My mom loves to crochet. She used to make us all kinds of cute things. One year she made us the cutest little purses and everyone loved them so much she ended up making a whole bunch of them for our school fundraiser. She also crochet my daughters christening dress with booties to match. It was beautiful!! I am 37 years old and I have never learned but I am going to try and if it turns out nice I may give it to my mom and surprise her. Thanks for this video!!

  • i made a video hope u like it..sorry i dont have a HD camera so i had to use my cellphone camera. its the only video i uploaded until now.

  • finished mine the yarn was about for 12 rows and it looks amazing thank u soooo much

  • Thank You for this! I forgot how much I enjoyed crochet! Love Love Love this scarf!

  • As un video de tejido con explicacion en español porfavor.

  • Just finished mine!! Love it!!

  • Im making mine now and it looks so beautiful. Im going to do 20 rows because I just love how thick it looks in your video. Thank you so very much for this tutorial.

  • such a nice scarf...I'm gonna try this

  • Wat else can u do thts soo talented like omg ur soo pretty nd talented

  • Such a talent! I love crochet and love homemade things. I just made a shawl for my baby girl who was born just before Christmas. Now I can make something for mama - a nice scarf. Thanks so much for sharing you make things so doable for us novices xx

  • love this.....i will be making several for myself! i have been looking for a loose stitch to make just this type of item.....thank you sooo much!

  • thank you so much for posting this. Half way done.. lol I had to restart it a few times not noting the need to keep the original chain straight. But loving it so far. Once you've made your chain, just be sure that you line it up against itself and that way you are for sure to not get it twisted, fyi. hugs

  • Do you have a trick for keeping your "chain" straight? Because yarn can twist and turn and because we are connecting the two ends, I had a terrible time making sure the chain of 180 was actually straight.

  • what size crochet hook is that?

  • @sophiethatcher it's a "K" size hook.

  • I made my second one. This one I did 200 knots and my best to keep the stitches loose. This one turn out perfect. I did a 20 row and love it.

  • @Nikkoj17

You have to do even numbers. I've found that the 180 chain is way to small. And you are going to need more yarn than she used.

  • love it...i want to do this....only need some more time....next project to do

  • Beautiful! Gonna try this! Thanks

  • @lilkimxo you'll need to make sure the chain is straight when you join them together or your work will twist.

  • @scorpio25nkc hum, makes sense I'll give it a try ty ty

  • I love the stitch pattern! Ive been looking for a different scarf pat for awhile. Thank you so much for posting it!

  • If i wanted to make the scarf longer, do i have to add a certain amount of stitches? is it by 3's? for example.. it's 180 stitches to start...but if i wanted it longer, say.. have 240 stitches, would that work? i just want to make sure that when i crochet it won't go wonky and uneven =S

  • How many skeins for the 20 row? I am going to work on the 10 row today. Purchased some yarn yesterday and anxious to get started.

  • @53CathyS It took me almost one skein to do a 20 row.

  • @DramaQueen1958 - thanks!

  • It's my first attemp to crochet and thanks to you I've already made 2 scarfs this weekend :D

  • Love crochet tuts do more. Interested in jewelry crochet

  • PLEASE DO A TUTORAIL ON YOUR NAILS..THEY ARE SO PRETTY!!! ITS PERFCT FOR VALENTINES DAY!!!!!!

  • i love that ur doing this.. thanks so much i cant wait to make this

  • Is it possible to use a 3.5 mm?? and how many should i make? Double?? 240 instead of 120?? Can you help me? Xx ps.. Beautifull hair!!!

  • LOVE your hair, so beautiful!!!

  • Hi love the vid! I was wondering if I can use the same stich to make a regular scarf? How many stiches would I need and what to do to the ends? I

  • I am making a scarf in this pattern after watching this video, I am making it much wider than you have and on a crochet hook sized 5.50 this is making the scarf texture much thicker than yours, I will try to add a video responses when it is finished. I can't crochet as fast as I could because I have arthritis in my hands and wrists I have to stop and rest often :+)

  • Amiga q te as hecho q te ves radiante!! De por si eres bella! Pero ahora te miro diferente! GORGEOUS!!! Muy linda tu bufanda!!

  • Beautiful Rachel, like everything you do . Thank you for the gifts, we love it & you:)

  • I used everything you did and followed your instructions, but mine came out short. Can only wrap twice around. Should I do more than 180 knots for my next one?

  • hermoso!!! gracias

  • I thank You, made a 20 row for my neighbor. Next i'll be making one for myself. You are rocking those heart krackle nails..luv u!

  • I just finished the 20 row scarf and I love it. Your directions were so clear and easy to follow. I was thinking of using this same stitch to make an afghan but am not sure how to end each row so the pattern comes out right. Any suggestions or ideas?? Thanks again. I enjoy all your videos.

  • HI I WAS WONDERING IF U HAVE A PATTERN FOR UR SCARF OR IS THIS SOMETHING U MADE UP AND IF U DO HAVE A PATTERN WHAT WILL BE THE POSSIBILITY U EMAIL THIS TO ME THANK U AND HAVE A GOOD DAY

  • The first row of my scarf is just so much tighter than yours... I'm not finished yet, but I think that's not a big deal :)

  • köröm

  • hy!!!!! légyszíves tölzsdfel ezt a gyönyörü kötöm festést köszönöm.

  • I just made a 10 row scarf in black, it's very beautiful. It took me about 2-3 hours.

  • ...finished a ten row circle scarf last night...it's fabulous...thanks for the excellent tutorial...can't wait to see more...

  • Hi! Do you have an email where I can contact you?

  • You looked BEAUTIFUL!!! Can you do a tutorial on your hair n nails? YOU ARE SOOOO TALENTED!!!!!

  • You are great!!! I can't wait to go to Michaels during lunch to buy yarn and the size K needle :) is one yarn sufficient to make a scarf?

  • I made one and am at about 18 rows. it feels super small especially when I wrap it around my neck twice. Are you sure its 180 links? I didnt do it too tight (thats what I thought might be wrong with it at first) because the looseness of the pattern looks a lot like yours. Any thoughts?

  • can you tell me how long one of these scarfs would be. i made one using 180 stitch braid but it was too short. i could p it around my neck only 2 times and it was a tight fit. i an doing the next one with200 stitch braid as the foundation. i hope this would bebigger. thank you forthis video. ifound gifts for my parents anniversary.

  • this is just what the dr ordered !!!! I am so happy to see this vid I love this type of scarf and will def give it a try

  • I made one! It crochet's really fast too! I used red heart but next one i'm going to use a really soft yarn and see how it goes. It's a very lovely stitch pattern, thanks so much! Do you have a tutorial for those nails, they are so awesome!

  • next project sorted!

I love all your tutorials, but what thickness of yarn did you use, I am in the UK and I find it hard to get cheap yarn brands.

  • hi thanks for the video its very helpfull..also i will like to ask if you have a nail tutorial for this nails with heart i will like to do them they really pretty and thanks...

  • I tried it, but my scarf always get "curly". I don't know how to explain. I tried it 2 times and everytime it gets curly. :(

  • @Jeccalein Make sure to keep that chain stitch flat when you are making your foundation row, that's where alot of that happens.

  • @Jeccalein I made one and am at about 18 rows now and mine isnt curly. yours might be curly in the beginning like mine was (just a little) but it ended up flattening out later on when I got a lot of rows done. If you have a lot of rows done and its still curly, you might be doing it too tight or (Im no expert!! Im an extreme beginner so Im just guessing here) the yarn might be too stiff

  • @Jeccalein You are pulling the yarn too tightly in some directions. Do not tighten the yarn while you are knitting. Keep it kind of loose. (not too loose of course!) Relax your hands and fingers, knit lightly.

  • OMG! mil gracias!! tengo libros y libros pero no habia podido aprender hacerla! gracias!!

  • Made one yesterday and I'm wearing it today! Love it!

  • I just made this in Teal.. SOO beautiful. And soft!! I am getting ready to make another one in dark brown. =) .. This is my 2nd comment on your video but this is such an amazing scarf!! Thanks so much for the tutorial!

  • Hello!

Another great crochet video!!! I immediately had to try this by myself (I was already reasonably successful with the crochet hat *yay*) and I love it!

Your videos are so helpful, please make more of these, you are so creative!

And you look soooooo pretty in this video! I have to agree with valeriebrown3709: You really look like JLo!

Thank you for sharing, have a nice day!

    Kind regards,

    Mushu (=nickname) from Munich, Germany

  • Love the way ur hair looks. Beautiful like always. Im going to do this scarf.

  • I wana crochet something else but i really wana finish my knee blanket which match the color of my sofa's first, except hubby put it somewhere and it is missing :( so maybe I should just give up and start something new and fun again :) I still wana make a hello kitty teddy though, could you perhaps teach that? I love both your scarf's espec. your 20 row ones :)

  • I had to make a quik run to Michael's!.. just started mine, so exited!

    Thanks for the vid! (:

  • how long does it take for you to finish one scarf like this? whether it be 10 rows or 20?

  • @nikkoj17 Im making one now and I think if you did it non stop you could do it in one day. It becomes pretty easy and goes fast once you get going. If you feel like you still arent going very fast around 10 rows then I would guess it would take 2-3 days for 20 rows :)

  • @eellis85 ooh, well it's my first time crocheting so i'm still getting the hang of it. ended up twisting it somehow, but it's all good. i'm using size 5.5 crochet needle, and it made the length smaller.. if i was to use a smaller crochet needle, how much extra should i be adding to make it approx. the same length?

  • @nikkoj17 mine is twisting too, I even started over after the 2nd row. I can't figure out why it's doing that. lol anybody? thnx

  • @lilkimxo I found that before you start the second row... lay your scarf out to make sure it isn't twisted..

  • It called forever scarf

  • Thank-you! I like both your 10 row and 20 row scarf. Pretty!

  • this will be my first time crocheting ever, and i love that you posted a video like this from start to, essentially finish, which is good for starters like me! makes me feel confident that i can make a scarf as pretty!

  • @love4nails true admiration. Question. To do a 20 row scarf. How much yarn would you need? One or two of the brand you showed? And how long does it take "you" to make a 20 row? (I liked the 20 row one )

  • I've been crocheting for 15 years and I've never seen that stitch. It's very pretty. I love the thicker cowl you made, or as you call it the circular scarf. =) I finally figured out who I think you look like... JLo when she played Selena. I love all your tutorials.
