I was mad about this soundtrack, simply because they had apparently written an entirely different one full of the most "amazing music we had ever written" and then it got deleted by the cocksucker running the movie. -__-

This stuff is ok though. Nothing brilliant or groundbreaking, but I'd still listen to it over some of the other crap out there XD

People saying this music sucks have to realize that they can't just write songs like they usually would on their albums. They have to write a movie soundtrack, so it has to have a lot of Ambiance, a lot of repetition of the same riff, and rarely any lyrics.

Daft Punk had to do the same thing for Tron and everyone expected it to be incredible, but everyone just thought it was boring.

@hiks45 theres three singers. brann dailor, brent hinds, and troy sanders. troy has either the screams/yells/harsh vocals or has that smokey tone to his voice, brent hinds has that smooth trippy tone that almost sounds liek a much better version of ozzy's vocals, and brann dailor who has like a tenor voice or alto. he kinda has the same vocal stretch as brent but higher

apparently thats what I heard happened. They wrote some really awesome music, and the guy in control of the soundtrack when they recorded the good stuff left and they had to start all over.

I'm not going to compare my POS college paper to mastodon, but I had my paper deleted after I spent a whole weekend on it similar to what happened to them; Its demoralizing. and the paper I wrote the second time blew chunks. I really wanted to hear the good shit they were working on.
