I dunno, I think warriors will always be the best one vs. one tanks and right now they can apply rend with thunderclap, making AoE pretty good if you can build threat right off the bat. Prot warriors are a very tough kill.

Last time I played (April) I had an alt Frost DK tank. When I logged on yesterday to find that Blood was the new Frost, so to speak, I wasn't very keen on it - in Frost I really just dropped DnD, used HB and I could sit back and eat a sammich. Even after reading about it I still wasn't enthusiastic. But after seeing it in action, I gotta admit, I kinda like it. Excellent video, and excellent choice of music!
@Music0Is0My0Life00 not exactly.. dnd and pestilence are basically just to gather the mobs..to keep aggro you use blood strike which hits 3 targets now. you use that while tabbing through the targets.. in fact..most high end dk's are going disease -less blood
@drkdvlgd999 I know that the unitframes are xperl, but other than that i'm not sure....You can get a whole lot of addons from downloading curse client, just make sure you have some anti virus protection

This is exactly why Blood DKs are going to get nerfed. I watched videos throughout the beta process. They're were, par none, the most reliable tank in AoE aggro & mitigation PLUS the ability to self heal themselves.
They just have too many awesome mitigation CDs & survivability CDs now. It's a lot like Unholy Tanking pre-nerfage. In fact, I was in WoTLK Beta where they were Godly tanks & the new Blood Tanking tree is actually stronger.
@Seraphkx blood won't get nerfed, blizz doesn't really care what kind of aoe threat tanks can pull now look at prot warriors and bears, their aoe is now absolutely horrid but blizz isn't doing anything about it, because aoe threat will matter as much as fecal incense when cataclysm comes out, it's all about the CC and the single target, which i must say blood is now actually comparable to others thanks to the mastery and the great change to death strike
@Mavisbeecon I think it'll eventually matter at some point. Which, right now Blood DKs are doing wayyy too much DPS via the scaling of diseases with Vengeance. But I agree, the changes are great. The Mastery is a little clunky compared to Savage Def on a Feral Druid (been playin Feral since vanilla) -- But, it's pretty nice. Death Strike healing is what's really golden, I love the changes. They just seem too good to be true if you start looking at other tanks downfalls.
@Seraphkx Yeah, compared to other tanks we're like the new prot paladins, but i don't k now if that's so much the problem that we're so OP or if they just hit the other tanks too hard with the nerf bat. It seems that warriors and bears are having major issues with LK stuff, and i think they might get at least a temporary buff to their abilities until cata comes out. Im just crossing my fingers so that we don't end up in the same boat as them. And most tanks don't use diseases outside of raids.
@exphryl well dk tankin needs some more buffing so we will have more snap agro if some one pulls a pack and we are out of runes or runic power but the 4.0.1 dk tank is 100% better than 3.3.5 dk tank
@exphryl That still won't matter, bear tanking was made even harder than before. Especially before 81 when we get thrash. (Although I'm not complaining about the new Resto xD)

I have been a blood dk tank for about a year now with around 6.1k gs if u really care about gear, and i must say, im in love with the new blood boil animation and spec, too bad my installer is acting up to an extent that i havnt got my patch set up yet :(

the funny part is...why i like being a dk tank...if you look at recount....hes like second or either first on the damage done meter...hahaahhaahahah..makes me laugh. I leveled unholy tank..than pulled my head out...and went frost. @gummypanda Yeah, full rotation is DND > IT> PS > PEST > BB. However with DND cooldown in an in essence of chain pulling it is good to also open up with just BB then PS > PEST > BB again. (Since BB gets a huge damage bonus from plague strike rather then icy touch, from a rune perspective and in the essence of time just using PS as your only disease ability ends up being worthwhile)
Nice to see DK's getting a dedicated tanking tree. Their new abilities also give them some variety in rotations (allowing such AOE threat as seen in this vid). Nice video man.
@Zivia1 Yeah, I've always been blood so having this be a full tank focus is really nice. I think it is easier to manage and balance on blizzard's part as a result. It does seem a bit odd while they neutered the AOE of the other tank classes, ours got so much better. (When mindset for Cata is more CC and less AOE apparently)
@exphryl i've always hated blood tankers and am the best dk tank on my realm because of the insanely simple frost rotation is use so this is rly a slap in the face to me

Do you use plagues much? I've given up on them. I D&D, BB, death strike for the death runes, then heart strike the rest, rune strike for filler.
