44 years old. First saw this video on Kasey Kasim's Top 20 Countdown in May, 1981. I was 13 and the beginning of my 30 year love affair with the greatest band of all times!!! Sting was the ultimate coolest shit until he sold out with his solo bullshit in 1984!!!!

It's comforting to know that myself (24 year old) and many my age recognize the brilliance and lyrical meaning behind songs like these and others from the '70s/'80s. This song makes you think..what's top 40 now and since 1998 (nsync/boybands etc) is the opposite effect..it numbs you to its superficiality and hollowness. you want artistry? -zeppelin -the police -neil young -paul simon -CCR etc. this stuff will live on

Glee is admirable in the way that they try to bring older songs to a new generation. Unfortunately, they lack the quality of the original and tend to do mashups that sound awkward together. I understand that they're trying to emulate a real glee club, but it just showcases why glee clubs aren't as popular in high schools as they used to be.
