@quaffer22 Firstly the word is "predominantly" but I digress. Yes, there may have been an undercurrent of uneasiness among the "tea party", but the momentum they have gained is implicitly due to the fact that they cannot fathom having a black president. I notice that during President Carter's and Clinton's tenure in office, there was no tea party, yet as soon as America has its first black president we hear a mantra of "taking our country back". I'll leave you to deduce why that is...
@SeanScythe The might have been the founders but that changed yrs ago when the Republicans decided to go against certain things of the civil rights movement. Now you can say many memebesr of the KKK are Republicans.
@blackisbeautiful09 Martin Luther King was a Republican, he didn't want us to be divided by the color of our skin which is what the Dems constant;y do.
@SeanCynthe he was also a democratic socialist.

Actually, it WAS under Bush that the protests began.
People were protesting his bailout of Wallstreet, his wars AND his stimulus.
AND, they were predominately WHITE !!
What has changed? Oh, yes... the current president is off limits because he's black.
Phht !!

@SeanScythe You are right he was a Republican but that was a very very different Republican party back then. Republicans have changed since then.
