Phil's voice still sounding just like it did 30 yrs ago!!!! only a few have been able to keep the voice that had in they're glory day..... GREAT band, song, video, and post!!!!
This song brings back so many great memories from back in the day when I would wear this song out listening to it on my 8-track tape player in my first car. Good times.
When I was growing up i spent countless hours listening to this album. Underrated song from a very underrated band! This is very awesome!!! Thank you.
Best part of this video is the opening, where Paul Raymond is looking at that keyboard and thinking 'damn, how does that E minor scale go again? Ooops not like that...' ;-)
Paul Raymond was one of my musical idols after I saw UFO in '78. Any guy that could pull off the keyboards and the guitar and be cool looking and British - that is who I wanted to be...
The Strangers in the Night double LP was the dog's bollocks when it came out. I rem borrowing it from a friend and taping it using an old condenser mic cassette player and stopping anyone walking in the room and ruining the recording !
How times have changed in music, now you can listen to anything for free with just a few clicks. In some ways somehow the magic has been lost with technological advances.
ufo are one of my fave british bands and so underated along with thunder, this tune takes me back to being 14 and playing it to death in my bedroom. Axeflerfv you are a star for posting this and you should be rewarded heaven for this!!! you have my vote.

why is this band not given more support... they are just amazing...rock and roll at its best...30 years ago i seen them for the first time and they are still brill to this day
This song has a great combination of waltz and foxtrot for any dancers out there. The waltz is so subtle that I missed it for a long time. I think this is what is attractive about the song. This one of the finest songs I have ever heard.
As you can see, you can replace drummers and even guitarists. This is a great version of such an epic song. Sure, I wish it was with Schenker but this is really fantastic!
we tried so hard to make this our prom song 25 years ago. gets alittle hard core towards the end though. the girls wouldnt have it. oh well. its still one of the best songs ever
one of the best I have seen !..totality , just amazing , real invitational pros!--I will share this ,I hope you get your well deserved credits **** My compliments , superb !..superlatives ,there are not that many in the dictionary ! XD .. Gus
@hard greenhorn I had to rip this from your channel -and just in time -had to reach .but was worth it -you should have shared with me and gearty-this is too good to miss-and more -truly beautiful - one to fav. and share .so ooh lovely -so again I shall do the sharing -and I am being seen as a spammer now , cos I take care of my friends :P :P xo -love to love! x Gus x
this is amazing can you amagine if the greatest guitar player in the world was playing it would be ufo. schenker for ever.please mogg who ever schenker please for you n the fans
I WANT THIS VID played at my funeral, whenever that may occur. AXEFLYERFV, YOU HAVE IMPECCABLE taste in music. Thank you SO, SO much for posting this vid, it's now my ALL TIME favorite!!!!!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you,. from the bottom of my 54 year old heart!!!
Mick Desmond, lead singer from Teaser from Milwaukee, WI
@brakedrummer you are most welcome man,I thank you for your kind comment & I hope you get your wish but also wish you long life at 54 you still got more miles to go my friend!!
One of my favourites by UFO. Vinnie Moore does a commendable job on this song and Mogg's vocals are spot on. Moore is no Schenker, but then again, he's not supposed to be. He's an amazing guitarist in his own right. Schenker's solo at the end on the original from "Lights Out" is one of my all-time favourite solos. This song reminds me of a long lost love of mine. It was "our song".
Just about the best video I've looked at for well over a year... awesome seeing and hearing what were a formative band for me in the '80's - top marks to AXEFLYERFV for finding this and bothering to post it...
This has got to be one of the best versions of one of their best songs, BRILLIANT !

Phil's voice has obviously changed with time but it gives these classics a different sound and shows that UFO's music can clearly stand the test of time. This track sends shivers down my spine just as much today as when I first heard it 33 years ago.

What more to say? Simply BEAUTIFUL, this is real MUSIC.

This song has a great combination of waltz and foxtrot for any dancers out there. The waltz is so subtle that I missed it for a long time. I think this is what is attractive about the song. This one of the finest songs I have ever heard.

Sorry brain-fart....the point is that Phil was awesome here!

As you can see, you can replace drummers and even guitarists. This is a great version of such an epic song. Sure, I wish it was with Schenker but this is really fantastic!
