Ive owned camaro/corvette/rx7/nsx and 3 vipers. Let me tell you viper is in a differant league than the vette. Park a brnd new 120k zr1 next to a 96 viper gts worth 35k and prepare to be amazed at wich one people gather around

heres my same mild bolt on 480 rwhp 2003 srt10 Viper against 2 600 awhp PLUS GTR's just in case you doubt my vid with the vammed C6z06...Again stock form 120-123 mph..But bolt ons and a tune plus a lil weight reduction (light weight hood/flywheel/titanium exhaust brings my weight from the stock 3380 pounds to 3300 pounds at 480 rwhp/512 rwt makes a pretty potent car

ive got a 2003 viper with Kn filters/harland sharp roller rockers/no cats/titanium exhaust/light weight fly wheel/light weight under drive pulley and sct tune..put down 480 rwhp on a dyno jet ...Raced my buddies 2007 C6z06 with intake/cam/tune at 500 rwhp (milod street bully cam) like 20 times and 12 times we were dead even and the other 8 he hot me by a door to a length...the 2003-2006 Vipers are 120-123 1/4 mph cars in stock form..much faster than people give them credit for

Vipers cost twice as much --- I can put a supercharger on the LS3 and still be at half price. So dollar for dollar there is no comparison. You can mod a Z06 for cheaper than a new Viper and whip the Viper.

Well considering a Cam and bolt ons will make the LS3 C6 more powerful than a Z06, and the Z06 can beat the viper there would be no point in racing an 08 Viper.

so pretty much your a magazine racer? Just because car and driver can lay down a decent time doesn't mean thats the fastest the car can do the 1/4. I've personally seen 11.2X's from stock Z06's. @camirocz only reason the 09 viper lost to the zr1 in tjhe one mile race was becuase of its 5th gear!! they made the 5th gear shorter for 2010.. those cars are extremely close in performance!!
