This was recorded on 28th. sept. 1939. The band members were Sidney Bechet: Wellman Braud: Harry Caldwell: Sidney de Paris: Claude Jones: Lawrence Lucie: Albert Nicholas: Fred Robinson: Zutty Singleton, and of course, Jelly Roll Morton.
@Corrie121 Bechet is not present on this tune, he only recorded 4 tunes with Morton (High Society, Oh didn't he ramble, Winin' Boy Blues & I thought I heard Buddy Bolden say, all on Sept. 14, 1939
This is not his red hot peppers band which lasted from 1926 -1930 but a 1939 pickup group which he called his New Orleans jazz men. Sidney Bechet is on clarinet here I think.
That's my jelly Roll!

"Red Hot Peppers"? Can I relay this to something obvious?

More glidin' and easy-ridin' than Armstrong's famous version, and damn good.

This is sure different from Louis Armstrong's version! Interesting to listen to, though

It's closer to Oliver's own recording which predates Armstrong's.
