I was learning how to play with Setsuka before but my friend saw how good I was getting with her and took the game back lol Now I have my own copy and I was watching a few matches on youtube with Setsuka. I'm wondering how you do the attack where she's crouching and opens the umbrella up on you. I think it's press 3 then aB. The last combo in the video is the one i'm working on. A+K, B and then the umbrella attack. How do you do that so fast?
Yes the umbrella move(crouching 3+aB), although during combos you'll never have the time to crouch & go 3+aB, so they inserted dashes(back & forward) for her. During her back dash(214) she crouches automatically, so all you have to do Is press 2143+aB.
The last combo has especific input, and they are listed in her move list -Sakura Fury Combo(B+K 6,1+B 1,1+B+A) & Silver Moon Combo(B+K 6,1+B 4,4+B+K). The trick is to do the next input without seeing the first one finish. You have to be fast.
I can do those combos you mentioned last. I just haven't gotten the time to do the 2143+aB. I was practicing that move for awhile and i can do if i just take my time. In all the cases it was too much time to actually hit with the attack lol and i was also talking about the very last combe where it says "Thanks for watching" on the screen. You've gotta have some quick fingers to master Setsuka ;)
I meant I haven't gotten the timing to do the 2143+aB. I think i'm doing it too quick cause sometimes she doesn't even crouch. What's the forward crouch used for? I think it's 236? And i was watching this cheeeseoftheday guy and he just does those crouch moves like it's just easy lol he does them repeatedly and I like the way it looks.

The 236 is used for extra range, evade & punish, and the best use for me: it accesses the 8way run moves, rly helpfull.
Instead of 33B, I press 2363B, in the combos 'cuz she has better range, is faster and connects better in it. There are a lot of possibilities ( 2361+A instead of 1,1+A...)
Look for "Setsuka Stance Tutorial" vid, it explains better, including the wavedash(reapeatedly press 236 or 214)
Oh, actually I wasn't counting that moves during the "thanks" as a combo. They are quite random, and doesn't work against all character. So you shouldn't rely on it too much.
The inputs are A+K, B A+K, B 2143+aB. It only works on the heavy ones(Sieg, Night, Rock). When I was recording it I was worried about background(I put Setsuka precisily starring the waterfalls! Beautiful view[:P])
This JF is the basis of her gameplay. So learning it is essencial. Me myself don't get it 100% of the time though. hehe
A tip? humm, after the jump, when you hear she saying "Depart" do the moves(2143aB) very quickly. You have a really short window of time to do the move there. So it must be fast!

Maybe we would see more Setsukas out there, maybe not. Setsuka is not an easy character to use as Mitsurugui or Sophitia for example. So, most of the people give up training with her. That's something to be considered too.

But man, Setsuka is an awful char for online game. I sometimes venture myself with her cuz I love her game, but her just frames, hard moves & combos doesn't help much online.
Dude, the only advice I can give you is to train, train & train. Setsuka is a hard character, so training is reeeaally necessary. Her just frames are not easy to get, but not impossible. I don't get them 100% of the time I make the inputs! eheheh
I think you already know, but there's a "Setsuka 'how to'" video, made by the cheeseOfTheDay that may help.
You should add annotations letting people know what is guaranteed and what is not. Nice video by the way. Do you own a stick or are you a pad warrior? How long did it take you to get all of her JF attacks and that 6B+K,67B,66A+B down? I can't do it to save my life. I can never pull off the last part. Do you use some kind of buffering trick, or are your inputs that precise?

Im not a big fan of not guaranteed combos, thats why i usually dont give them in my cm's. But this cm was really enjoyable to watch, mostly thx to good montage, music, and cool ideas:). Good work. Some combos where really great, like last one:).
Yeah, I was thinking if I let them or not. But actually, I had a hard time trying to record guaranteed combos, and for fitting(audio & video)I needed some combos with certain lenght and hits, so it was really hard to think on what would be interesting when combined with the audio, and what would not. ehehhe
And the quality here in YT it's not what I expected to be, I don't know what you did but yours are way better.

You can do it by inputting 22_88 A+B,A. But this move is there in her command list, by the 8wrn list, it's called shade dancer if I'm not mistaken!
