people have just lost interest in the league this season, crowds down in all stadiums i think?? and with my team unable to win at home (Qld Roar)no wonder our home attendance is dropping compared to last season's finals match against sydney 30,000+
I dont want 2 sound like a sore loser, but United were never going 2 win this match. CCM r a classy side as it is, they've had 2 weeks 2 prepare 4 this match, weve had 3 days. They should have at least changed the game 2 Hindmarsh.
Well adelaide should of devoted it self to either the a league games or winning the asian champions, they did neither, they played with no spirit at all. Im not sure whats going wrong with adelaide but they are off and on, somedays they win and they look like a well put together side, somedays you wonder why they are even in the a-league
R U Blind, they clearly juggled both competitions well, but they were simply outplayed by Gamba. And they r currently equal 2nd in the League. We will c how u guys go, playing in 2 competitions next season.
This is football, mate. Both are important, so you try and put 100% into both, which is what Adelaide did with the A-League and the ACL. What you're seeing here is a pretty depleted squad or else I don't think the Mariners would've come away with anything more than a draw.
I disagree... I think adelaide should just focus on their a-league efforts not on the silly asian champions which no one gives a shit about... Its a credit to adelaide to make us proud of australian football by getting to the asian champions final though well done boys. But i disagree with a draw, we won fair in square
The Group stages of the ACL are in the A-League's off season, so thats the only football your teams playing, so of course they'll try and win. Then if u make it 2 the Quarter Finals, of course your team is going to try and win it, when they r so close.
If CCM make it 2 the Quarters i will make a bet that u would want 2 c them win the Title.
The "silly asian champions which no one gives a shit about" is worth a whole lot more than winning the A-League title, mate. I don't know what planet you happen to be living on, but I think every club in the A-League - and every club in the past NSL as well - would rather be on the world stage rubbing shoulders with the likes of Manchester United than winning the league.
a-league is proffessionalism is going through the roof, we need a couple of good signings from overseas in about 2 years time and the a-league is absoutely set to bring in more crowds. But they need to boost the cap, if they want to boost the crowds, and get in those long awaited for overseas stars
i do agree with that, but even without that it probably would of been a 2-1 win for us, were starting to get back in that champion winning form again 1 win starts it
we are not going to beat melbourne cause they are full strength and at home. Hmm I highly doubt that comment, as each meet with melbourne whether it be away or at home mariners either draw or win by 1
shit thats a bad crowd attendance

It's the same thing, year in year out...same old teams. Plus The Marquee system has failed. A-league had such great potential.

I think the tiredness from all those football matches (here (H & A) and here and overseas for the ACL) really got to the Adelaide United team.
