Great video, I played some beta and came across on datacron purely by accident. I have been following th game closely, but I didn't pay much attention to the codex info they gave us on the site because I never played much attention to the codex in other games because I found them rather boring. I do like the idea that the datacron permanently increase a stat, that there are not many of them, and that they and the codex is entirely optional.

I think the idea is brilliant and I'm definitely the type of player that wants the MOST optimized character I can get. Getting those will be a priority but only after I get a suitable mount. Thanks for the info...there are so many channels out there that aren't giving out practical information about the game and you guys are consistently doing that and I thank you.

Nope, not only can it be a mouthful, but the actual game is "knights of the old republic", the star wars is just like the header. Example can work with lord of the rings, many people refer to each film (or game) by "The Two Towers" etc etc. I don't see using "TOR" as a big issue really...?

I like the idea and hope they give a stat bonus worth collecting. There seems to be a rule in mmo's at the moment that the only way you can make permenent stat gains is from leveling and getting gear. Somthing like this is a nice change.

nice info guys but i think that Datacrons is DUMB!! In brief, these Datacrons are going to be spread out over many, MANY planets in VERY remote locations just so that the player can "see all that was put all over the worlds". These Datacrons grant you STATS apon collecting them so this is pretty much going to be an "attunment" for elitist/end game players/raiders. In stead of farming gear and getting the "what's your gearscore" question, you're going to get the "what's your Datacron Number?". =(

@RPGmvp they give text of lore and achievement points.... dont think they are going to buff your stats in a way that will make you stronger in pvp or pve.

This is great news. I love the way Bioware handles its lore in its previous games and am really glad they have decided to continue to make it readily available to the player while still making them work for it. I love this approach and can't wait to start filling up my codex :)

people always assume that TOR is going to fix all the problems wth WoW endgame content. But do you honestly think that we are going to be occupied for years after the original release at the level cap? no. So they're adding like 20 or so items to go look for, ok... cool? Also keep in mind with 2months still on the clock, the end game content still has time...then of course theres the unique leveling experience for all other classes on both factions. hmm enough to keep us busy till content patches i think!

@swtorextreme I only PvP. They have already stated there will not be an arena-like compnent in the game on release, so what do i do? Their versions of Battlegrounds? Is there even a such thing as PvP gear to grind? This kind of stuff worries me. But despite all of that, I'm sure that the community will enjoy all the end game content for a while. but like i said before, everyone keeps flaming Blizzard and WoW for being bored of endgame.. But everyone forgets the game has been out for years.

I think it probably would of been wiser for us to put up a video explaining the main features of the game first since many seem to know next to nothing about the game (which tbh i didn't expect). As for PVP, there are 3 battlegrounds, very different from each other, and I am sure there will be pvp gear to work on at launch. By the time you level up and play for a while I'm sure a new content update will be out.

It is a pretty common speech impediment, I wouldn't deny someone the opportunity to narrate a video based upon their ability to pronounce a certain phoneme. Correction of such impediments is also something which is not easily done. Besides, he did a great job.
