@tlozlink not true, in europe the first R32 was a 03, but because it was so popular got put in as the 04 model in america, then in 05 in europe the mk5 r32 was released which got put out in america in 07.

Pardon my stupidity, that's with 93 octane and meth injection on a dynojet which usually gives the most Optimistic results. The number everyone's been trying to break is 240awhp while retaining natural aspiration and everyone's been hitting the same point. Reason being is the motor the R32 starts with is a bare basic 6 cylinder and it's tuned to it's damn near maximum potential from the factory. Unfortunate really. Oh well. That's why C2 is in business!
Evo dude needs a driver mod. If this R is all motor, that evo is definitely making more power. The 6 cylinder in the R32 is unfortunately very limited to making good power with natural aspiration. There's been a hard wall at around 240awhp without going turbo, and that's with race gas and meth injection. People on GolfMKV and VWvortex have been trying for years now with no luck. They had the MKV R32 in 2007 in the middle east? In the states 2008 was the only model year for the MKV version.

Yeah go search up the BPY engine code. Go look for oil consumption issues. Prove to me a G60 Corrado is reliable. I rock a 1979 16V PL Scirocco as my track car. I've grown up with VW's I love them. If anyone in the Volkswagen community believes these cars are reliable is in denial. Their engines on the other hand usually don't have any kind of major mechanical problems. I'm not a VW hater at all I just know how it is. Do some research. Thanks for trying.

VWs quality is dictated by its manufacuring/assembly location, many VWs for example werent made in Germany and as you can imagine - an 11 year old Brazilian child wont put a car together as well as a trained German engineer...

Yes, some were also made in mexico. Each VW has the location of where it was assembled. I have much love for VW but it seems that most VW owners like you, aren't able to cope with the reality of flaws with their beloved\perfect cars. You have to take the bad with the good. Yes you are correct about a model\year in the past destroying a brands name. Like Subarus were notorious for blowing head gaskets on specific engines. Even on many of the newer models. Most people don't even know that their head gasket is leaking because it doesn't seem to be enough to make a noticeable difference to the customer\owner. I don't see how this is such a hard concept for VW owners to grasp. You have a good car, but compared to other manufacturers on average not considered reliable.
Also why don't you do a google search on reliable brands, then do a search on the most reliable models. I know this isn't going to be 100% accurate but at least give yourself some education where Volkswagen possibly stands. Eventually your eyes will open and you will begin to appreciate other models besides VW's. I know how the VW scene is and I'd like to say I'm good. I'll be keeping my 13 second scirocco and my 12 second Evo.

Yeah go search up the BPY engine code. Go look for oil consumption issues. Prove to me a G60 Corrado is reliable. I rock a 1979 16V PL Scirocco as my track car. I've grown up with VW's I love them. If anyone in the Volkswagen community believes these cars are reliable is in denial. Their engines on the other hand usually don't have any kind of major mechanical problems. I'm not a VW hater at all I just know how it is. Do some research. Thanks for trying.

VWs quality is dictated by its manufacuring/assembly location, many VWs for example werent made in Germany and as you can imagine - an 11 year old Brazilian child wont put a car together as well as a trained German engineer...

Yes, some were also made in mexico. Each VW has the location of where it was assembled. I have much love for VW but it seems that most VW owners like you, aren't able to cope with the reality of flaws with their beloved\perfect cars. You have to take the bad with the good. It's funny how people cannot accept the truth sometimes. At least I live in reality and I do understand the issues along with quality of each model\make I have worked on or owned.

@GraphicFrost oh i know theres unrealiable Vdubs and i agree with you entirely, my whole point is that its easy to avoid them by checking where the damn thing is assembled you get a higher quality car, and that some models get a notorious rep and that kinda sticks with the automaker like Range Rover in the early 90's, every manufacturer screws up productions every now and then but that doesnt mean that applies to every model they make, does it?

No but VW's are almost all built off the same chassis for the generation. Like A1 A2 for the MK1 and MK2's etc.. What you're not getting is I was an automotive tech for years. I worked on A LOT of Volkswagens. On top of that, I was an avid VW enthusiast. Your statement about build location is common knowledge in my eyes to any VW enthusiast. Also Land Rovers ARE garbage. I worked on them for years, I worked for the Jaguar Shop a good portion of my career.

Yes you are correct about a model\year in the past destroying a brands name. Like Subarus were notorious for blowing head gaskets on specific engines. Even on many of the newer models. Most people don't even know that their head gasket is leaking because it doesn't seem to be enough to make a noticeable difference to the customer\owner. I don't see how this is such a hard concept for VW owners to grasp. You have a good car, but compared to other manufacturers on average not considered reliable.

Also why don't you do a google search on reliable brands, then do a search on the most reliable models. I know this isn't going to be 100% accurate but at least give yourself some education where Volkswagen possibly stands. Eventually your eyes will open and you will begin to appreciate other models besides VW's. I know how the VW scene is and I'd like to say I'm good. I'll be keeping my 13 second scirocco and my 12 second Evo.
