  • It is normal for those people that instead of appreciating the effort exerted on showing how to decorate a cake they will criticize because no matter how detailed the explanation on the vi deo still they didn't figure out how to do it.... She's really very good on decorating cake and helping us some techniques on making cakes looking professionally decorated. Thank you so much for sharing to us your technique. You're obviously a master decorator on decorating cakes.

  • them wish to be theirs,....Besides in Europe dont use that term, the only country in the world uses "Hispanic" as an ethnicity is here in US Why? IGNORANCE...btw.... im argentine and im not spanish or hispanic am argentine thats it! :P

  • oh my god! some people really need to back to school! including her ok? lets make this clear because i hate that people keep calling "spanish" or "hispanic" to all spanish speakers...Latin America people are no Spanish,Spanish are in Spain (Europe) and Hispanic i dont know wtf is....hellooo! Mexico has nothing to do with South America...and the dulce de leche is 100% Argentine, but since the people from the other Latin Countries love it they never accept it because they all use it and all of ...

  • Your voice is young <3

  • I cringed when she held the cake without supporting the centre! However the final product looked really good, and I have tried in vain to get a perfectly level cake! So, I give you props for that!

  • none of these monkeysee videos don't seem very professional to me. :(

  • I like her sound effects... plus she is not an elitist cake princess...shes like if I had a nice grandma to teach me - instead of one who just wanted to feed me moon pies

  • Thank you for your videos! Of all the videos on you tube, I find myself referring to yours the most.

  • are all of u moms haha

  • its still lopsided after she cut and put in ontop of the other cake.... derp

  • hi peopel...i need help, how to find recipe for dough for cakes?? like this brown or standard dough which can see in Cake Boss?! (in europe we make totally different tipe of dough) pleaaaaaaaaaas answer me

    thanks

  • @ljnevjestic Do you mean fondant?

  • @ljnevjestic Hey, do you mean the cake batter? If so its the flour that is different, continental flour has a high protein content, in Australia we use 10% but really good cake flour has 6-8% so we add 2 tablespoons of corn flour to each cup of plain flour, for continental flour you would need 3-4Tbl at the base of your measuring cup.

the joy of baking white cake is a great cake recipe and you can take away 30-70g of flour and put in dutch cocoa powder or add a bit of fruit puree.

  • @ljnevjestic joyofbaking. com/WhiteCake. html otherwise if you mean the rolled icing, look for fondant icing or pettince.

  • She Might Not Be Professional But At Least She Is Waaayyy Better Than Me. (x

  • Amazing, i like so much your video

  • @31hunnybunch you think complaining about this video makes you look cultured and intelligent, but really it makes you look bitter. Anyhow, if you have worked with "top sugar artists" then why would you be watching how to decorate cake videos in the first place? Why don't you do something useful instead of complaining about how not everyone is as good a cake decorator as you claim to be.

  • in end it just looks like a giant oreo

  • to me it looks like she needs a bigger table the one shes on is a little too smaall

  • THE CAKE LOOK SO HARD LIKE STONE...

  • slide it on down in there thats what she said 1:13

  • Did she say to cum it out the tip??

  • dulce de leche is NOT frome south america its from MEXICO you Inbred!!!!master cake artist my ass your a master bull shiter....go back to school ! these video make me so mad cause she is not teaching the right way , ive worked with top sugar artist and never seen this kind of mess!

  • @31hunnybunch dude cool it this video is NOt for profess bakers its just for home cooks so it doesnt matter its just a video....

  • @31hunnybunch Mexico is in South America... And considering that she said 'Spanish' she must've included Brazil and Argentina. Go back to school. :)

  • @MrsMyNameIsCindy

correction: Mexico is in north america. south of U.S and directly below texas.

  • @31hunnybunch It's not from mexico u.u it's from argentina man

  • is it just me or is that cake like hella dry o.o ehh

  • I have a few problems with this video. For one, it would have been easier to level the cakes BEFORE putting the first cake on the board and the filling on it. Two, it would have been easier, too, to spread the caramel on the cake THEN circle the white icing around it. Three, I know it's all about what the baker prefers but leveling a cake on the turntable would have produced a straighter cake.. OR she could have just brought it to eye level to make sure.

Just a few notes. That is all.

  • The cake looked tilted at the end... :/

  • Comment removed

  • did she just tell the cake to 'stay'?

  • Monkey see, monkey do.

Such a small turn-table to work with, though. :/

  • Omg ewwww 2:44 x(

    so not proffessional...!!

  • Excellent details for a basic decorating! Thank You!

  • Very creamy... Can't get out of can.

Easy for spreading... cake falls off

  • She is trying to demonstrate on a very small table - that is hard to do :)

  • Well, for an amature, I think she is wonderful. Ty Sandy for the video's!! Hugs to e1

  • it pissed me off that it was un even

  • I was taught by a Wilton cake specialist, and you don't impress me.

  • "Dulce de leche" is pronounced [DOOL-seh deh LE-cheh] (based on U.S. English pronunciation). I don't think it is a Spanish (i.e., comes from Spain) product, either.

  • @alesbica its french.

  • @hamsalad2012 No, it isn't.

  • @alesbica You are right, that brand actually is Mexican LECHERA . Which is famous here in Mexico for it's condensed milk.

  • I feel like a fat man who loves cake.

  • Chocolate cake and caramel filling?

    Ew.

  • she took a lot of time just to make this!!

  • Ew. Anyone who make food without hairnet, short sleeves and with rings on is disgusting! But, very helpful anyway.

  • Why is everyone making such mean comments?

    cakeaday.com

  • gdzie to kurwa dajesz oddaj ten worek ... , jebany thief!

  • it looks like an oreo:)

  • @delightedkat96 Hahaha I know right :D

  • @delightedkat96 it does!!

  • Aww are you the cake decrator or the person just filming?

  • Nice job at 4:55. Nice and level indeed....Wait, but it doesn't have a smooth finish once you have cut it off....Oh look at that beauty! I can't wait to see the rest!

  • There are a lot of rude comments here that I think are completely unwarranted. Every baker has their own techniques and they may seem sloppy to you, but is the final product gorgeous? That's what you should judge her by, not by how perfectly she performs each step of the process!

  • she dont look like no professional to me there aint no dam slop on dat cake

  • She is pretty sloppy, BTW, that Dulce de Leche is not South American it is made in Mexico there for it is North American, Lady.

  • Woow those "leyers" are giant. She could cut each one 3x......

  • How many times can a person say "my" in 5:54 minutes?

  • I think she should have leveled her cakes with a cake leveler and made it 4 layers instead of 2, she also could have used a larger area for the video and spoke a little louder, but she did have some great tips and the dulce de leche was a yummy idea, too :)

  • @oolybuzzle i agree about the layers!

  • These videos are really informative and helpful. Thank you!

  • That cake is going EVERYWHERE. lol

  • she's got no room to work on! :(

  • Thanks its being great recipes

  • not impressed.

  • not impressed.

  • yum yum in my tum

  • u can make that caramel by boiling a tin of condensed milk (unopened ) for a while about 1 hr dont let the water go dry it makes a lovley caramel filling

( let it cool in the tim ( unopened and then u can use it when u want

  • What a great tip, i done this earlier, so yummy, thanku

  • where can i buy the dulce de leche i tryed at the supermarket but they dont have??

  • @kathymack0205 you will most likely find it in Hispanic food markets.

  • I never thought of using "dulce de leche" for my cakes..what a great idea!

  • omg im from argentina and dolce de letche is amazing i LOVE it!!!!

  • spunetine si in limba romana tradusa

  • it s snupe

  • She clearly knows her way around cakes, I wish I could take a class from her.

  • giant oreo ;D

  • She doesn't seem professional IMO. I mean... her work looks sloppy to me. Maybe I am just super neurotic and detail oriented. Ah well. I'm sure it tasted awesome though. <3

  • @PippaLopps dont worry her work is sloppy and you are not the only one that thinks that.

  • @PippaLopps i agree!!

  • @PippaLopps Yeah i think you just super neurotic.

  • @PippaLopps I felt the same way as I watched her. I guess it's because I'm OCD lol. I winced everytime she kept swirling the Dulce de Leche in the middle and some of the buttercream icing got mixed in!

  • el dulce de leche a Cuban creation?????, nonono is from URUGUAYYYYY, or maybe Argentina

  • as she mentioned it is from South America.. in Colombia it is called Arequipe and the best brand is Alpina.

  • Comment removed

  • Dulce de Leche is a Cuban creation (actually I don't know but I may as well stake my claim also). My grandmother used to make it when I was little. Milk curdled with lime juice and burnt with sugar. Too sweet for my taste but it is good tasting. One spoonful is all I can take though. Now, for the $65,000 question, who is claiming the Tres Leches Cake? I know its not Cuban.

  • idk if the tres leches cake is puerto rican but i know is latin

  • If I can't find a piping bag anywhere, I just grab a plastic bag and cut off a little bit of the edge and just use that. its really cheap and simple

  • i am south american and dulce de leche is a delicous creamy caramel i LOVE it!!!

  • man im hungry

  • where can you get thoseplastic bags?

  • a piping bag ?

  • yeah,haha i can't find any in walmart i think lol;like a store not online

  • Wal Mart does carry the bags, check in the cake decor section near the arts and crafts, you can also get them at Michaels

  • When filling my cake i make 2 layers same size and put a big hole in the top of one border it with icing put the filling into the hole and upt the other cake on top:P

  • Hey!

The Dulce de Leche is an Argentinian thing, we created it, now you can buy it all over the world... and llike Angelicamayela says IS NOT SPANISH.

  • I am sorry, pero el dulce de leche no es creacion de los argentinos. Querian apropiarse de su autoria, que no es lo mismo (como La Cumparsita, por ej.).

    Sorry !

  • Hi, I'm from Mexico and just to let you know that the dulce de leche you are using is Mexican, not Spanish, and a tradition in Mexico (North America), along with leche quemada and cajeta, all versions of burned milk with sugar. Great video! Your technique helped me a lot. Thanx!

  • I have done a TV series on world cuisine and Dulce de Leche is an Argentinian thing which was verified by the ambassadors of both Argentina and mexico.

  • that doesnt look like a creamy caramel?

    oh well,

    good video,

    :D

  • thanks for all you informative videos!
